I was browsing the market last night and downloaded Greed, well i decided i wanted to buy the full version so opened the market back up and noticed all paid apps are gone, not just protected apps. I set it to view only paid apps in the market and it couldnt find any. I waited a 10 min and tried again, but now I dont even have the option to change views in the market. I'm on 5.0.2 from haykuro but i also checked the GF's phone and her paid apps are also gone on rc33. what's going on? i was thinking the release of cupcake might have something to do with it but since it said a may release i figured that's not it, but once i looked at the forums today i see it's being pushed out to some people. I'm on AT&T if that matters. Any ideas?
My paid apps have gone too. I thought it was because i'd changed builds a lot recently. I went back to stock rc7 -> rc8 and am now on rc9 and don't have the option to view paid apps anymore any ideas?
What carrier are you on? Im guessing you're in the UK so is the g1 from your carrier or is it unlocked. Its different than when you switch firmwares cuz usually when i switch to a jf build i lose protected apps only and just cant buy some apps . But now i cant see any unless i already bought them .
I'm on O2 UK. I have always been able to get paid apps in the past. I have the original SPL and original RC9 now. I am tempted to put Haykuro's build back on but i think i'll wait for the OTA cupcake. What carrier are you on ?
Im on AT&T so mines unlocked . Im hoping google isnt blocking paid apps now for those who arent on a carrier that has the phone .

i bought a used g1 no physical problems took it into a shop and they couldnt find anything wrong with it internally so im guessing its a software issue....dont know if this guy i bought it from tried to mess with root and messed something up but im thinking its some sort of software stuff....can anyone PLEASE help!?!?!?!?! i either get this phone fixed or keep using my nokia that seems like its from 1998 and its killing me!!!!!!
What are the stats of the phone? You can check the versions in the settings\about phone area. Model #, Firmware version, Baseband version, kernel version and build number information would be helpful.
Is it already rooted? If not, you may want to go ahead and start reading up on the root process. Some of the newer builds may or may not help the issue. But if it isn't rooted and you arent getting a signal, it very well may be a network issue. Also, does your phone service have a data plan? Has the phone gone through and passed all of the sign-in procedure? (being from another country, I am not sure what all you have to do to activate your phone) Sim card good?
thats the problem i did a factory reset to input my gmail info and now i cant get past the damn activation screen! ive been through all the customer support through tmo and cant figure anything out!!! im goin crazy
also ive found this webpage http://developer.htc.com/adp.html that has recovery, system and radio images from htc and every time i try one of them it comes up and says no signature or no verification.......not sure what to do

you cant apply those because your phone is not rooted. learn what your doing without randomly flashing everything that can killed your phone. and yes, you can kill your phone permanently flashing the wrong **** (i.e radio/spl)
i have a t-mobile g1 iam a uk user i have just got a new g1 as a replacement handset for a faulty g1 my firmware is 1.0 my old had the ota update so i could get on skreen keyboard etc with in a couple of hours of getting it but my new one has not got any updates as of yet and i have had it nearly 4 days now and i cant get any of the apps i was using or on skreenkeyboard does anyone no how long this takes to get the update or can i get it from sum where the rc number is rc8 as well PLEASE HELP !!!
I don't think there is a specified length of time (at least in the US). I had the same experience where I unrooted my g1 and I got tired of waiting. I eventually updated manually. Patience or Act now choose one
Isn't there a way to check for update's manually somewhere in the settings? I think I saw that in *may be* Settings->About phone. Check that out, that may get you to 1.6 faster.
Does anyone have an ide how to get the phone back to the "orginal" FJ3 Firmware if you not did a backup and been play around with new firmwares? smile.gif
Also how to get rid off that "rooted" sign on the GroVer. about the phone, mean if it get broken it is not good to have that "Rooted" sign all over when hand it in smile.gif
There have been several requests on the forum for JF3 (I assume you mean that since FJ3 doesn't exsist) and so far nobody has the JF3 firmware. However, the most troubling thing to miss in probably the CSC since they likely do not record what firmware your phone originally came with but they will know what carrier-specific apps were installed.
Please use the "search" function next time!
So a couple days ago i got a text from ATT saying that there was a new version available for my phone, and i am running ICS so i thought it was a small update or something i tried checking and i got nothing i was wondering if anyone else got that text? but thats not even my issue after i tried to update i cant view my text messages anymore it just says Loading... i had to download go pro and thats even very slow. Anyone know how to fix that? and yes i have tried turning it off and on. thanks.
I got the text too, made me wonder if there was an updated to some of the noted issues.
But I didn't get the chance then to check it out or try it, and wasn't sure it was just the original ICS update message, cause I'm still running Gingerbread.
But it's one of the main reasons I logged on today.
my wife experienced the same thing, but after the upgrade the baseband was still the latest att update for vivid (.56), nothing new.
never did check hers beforehand, but I'm pretty sure mine came w/ .56 (refurb from att) at the same time. I'd already upgraded my device to darkraider.
I got the same message a few weeks back. I contacted AT&T Support. They said that 4.0.3 was the latest version. They did not say why I got the message. I suspect it was because I pulled the update using the special code (#*#*286*#*#), which does not seem to work any more.
I'm getting nagged to update my software even though I've disabled updates for the Motorola updates service, and disabled automatic updates in developer options. I'm currently running stock Oreo, and have been getting these every 24 hours or so, sometimes more.
I'm fine with taking the security updates, but I really don't want to upgrade to Pie. So much so that I exchanged the first X4 I had just so I could stay on the older update with a locked bootloader. My main concern is that I accidentally updated already, because they eventually take away the option to be reminded later instead. At this point I think I know how to avoid consenting to the update, but it would be nice if this annoyance was gone for good.

I had the exact same problem with the three moto x4 Amazon Prime versions. I contacted Amazon and Motorola - both told me there was no way to stop the update notices. I even explored app lockers hoping to find one that would let me lock the update notice app - no luck.
I finally gave up, purchased three moto x4 Android one versions (they are rootable) on sale at Best Buy, rooted them, then disabled the Motorola update service. No more update notices.

I see, I was afraid of that. I should have mentioned that I have the Android one version, but I was hoping not to have to root it. I play Pokemon GO sometimes, and it doesn't like it when your device is rooted, even using the method that's supposed to hide it.
Has anyone had any luck breaking OTA updates, possibly by flashing a slightly modified version of stock software? I was hoping to stay stock because that's usually best for the camera, but Gcam should get around that, right?
nguinn, just use magisk. i play PoGo also. use the X4 to GPS spoof for regional exclusives. works great. reddit.com/r/pokemongospoofing has a great tutorial on how to root your phone to make pokemon go not be able to see it.
