Thx for the answer - however its kinda useless if i need first to sync my contacts to another phone with zyb and then sync it once again to mobyko and then finally sync my G1 with mobyko :S
So does mobyko sync directly with zyb?

Sync with Mobyko
Hi M,
all you need is one handset with all you numbers in it. Sync that with Mobyko and all the numbers will be backed up. Then you can change your handset in the 'My Account' area of Mobyko to move your numbers to your new phone as and when you need to.

I have made a app which imports zyb contacts to android (no sync, sorry) - have a look at http://code.google.com/p/zyb-import/

Smartdailing & good(link) on Q9090

Hi all
I recently started running the Good software (www.good.com) on my blue angel.
It really works nice but i have one problem with it.
I use Intellidailer a lot to do smartdailing while i'm on the move. Now that
i have the good software installed the intellidailer isn`t able to make suggestions on the number to dail
as (i guess) the Outlook contact list i empty (this is all in the good clinet now).
I can't change back to active sync because that will screw around the goodlink client.
Anyway the short version of the question is; Does anybody know a smartdailer that works with the Good software ?????
(btw i'm surprised that good didn`t build it into their client software.
regards
Yepyo
hi im using good as well
if you just set active sync to do ur contacts it will port them all into the mscontacts files..... just leave all the other mail items unchecked
thus u will basically have 2 contact lists, one in good one in outlook, the outlook one will only synce when cradled!!
ie if u add a new contact on the go in good, it wont appear in ur pocket contacts till u sync the device (if u get me!)

ActiveSync & Contact Categories

All,
I have recently installed TuMa1.3 ROM and have noticed that when using ActiveSync 4.1 I cant sync my contacts by categories like I could when using 2003SE, does anyone know why this is?
Thanks

contacts and categories in wm5
I wish I knew the logic to this omission. I use a common database on outlook 2002 for all of my contacts for the family including my business ones. My wife and two daughters also have windows phones. When they sync they only get the contacts relevent to them. This was a really good feature. Under wm5 this has been lost and i need to know if there is a real workaround. Also applies to calender items aswell. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance

goodlink software contacts

Guys,
My org uses goodlink (good.com) as the email service provider not microsoft's push mail. I recently upgraded to a tilt and changed the rom promptly to schapps latest release.
The way the good software works is that it adds its own software stack (email/contacts/calendar etc) which syncs to the my outlook. The problem this creates is that my contacts do show up (the right softkey button leads to contacts which are the goodlink contact list) but are not connected to my dialer.
To be able to use smart dialling i then have to manually sync my phone to my computer to copy the contacts again which is a pain. My previous phone was based on windows 2003 whose dialler showed the goodlink contacts directly.
If there are any ideas or suggestions please let me know.

This is not what is supposed to happen. I use GL too. If you sync with Active synch eventually, you will end up with duplicate contacts. Sometimes it takes a bit of time for this to occur. This applies to GL 5. In 4.9, I had to do exactly as you are stating...synch only the contacts with active synch.
interestingly, I have a post regarding Good Mail. I found that using the XDA Live 3.0 (WM6.1) with the reTOUCHED dialpad, my contacts, while in the phone mode, linked to my Lotus notes contacts, not my local ones.
If I'm understanding you correctly, this is exactly what you want to happen (exactly the opposite of what I want to happen on mine).
I have 5.0.3.23 good mail with the above and it works the way you want yours...
Good luck,
MBN

With 5.0 the contacts are shared. If you sync with active sync, they will be duplicated because you are already syncing the mail server. GL 5 takes over much more of the system than past versions. I have found no way to change its behavior at all. If I make changes, it has protections in it that undoes the changes.
thanks for the help guys. I got on IT's case and changed my GL version to 5.0 and a hard reset and the installation of the retouched dialler everything is now working exactly the way i want it. Thanks guys!

Have you tried using Microsoft Voice command with Goodlink contacts? in my search for a solution i found a thread on another forum which said that voice commands/dialling wont work with goodlink contacts and we will have to sync them again. Im going to be trying it anyway but just wondering if somebody has already done the effort.
I can also vouch for that. I am the good admin at my org and the latest 5.0.4.46 works quite nice with outlook contacts and allows for smart dialing.

I use voice speed dial and it works with GL 5 owning the contacts without doing a sync via active sync. Haven't used MS VCMD so ymmv.

I just wish I could talk my IT guys into a longer wait period before locking the phone...30 minutes kind of sucks when using the GPS...in a car. Any ideas for hacks? I haven't found any.

Sync/Import .wab address book to Diamond?

I have just received my XDA Ignito from O2, I have my old SonyEriksson phone address book saved as a .wab file and want to sync this with the Ignito/Diamond.
It does come bundled with a 'trial' version of Outlook but I don't really see the point in using it if it's just a trial that will run out. Plus I don't want to install Outlook just to sync my contacts!
Are there any free progs out there I can use to do this?
My old SE and Motorola phones came bundled with software that would do everything!
Thanks in advance!
Dave
I have Outlook installed on my machine... and I hate it, always have always will! I only need it for sync'ing my contacts. When I had my wizard way back (in technology terms anyway), the answer I kept getting was NO you can't sync with anything else.
The problem I am having with my contacts (and I have yet to find an answer for it) is that the Diamond/Ignito shows both my sim contacts and the phone contacts. The two lists are the same so when I go into 'all people' everyone is listed twice!
Any ideas anyone?
Matt
I'm till struggling with this. All I find is annoying 'trial' editions of programs that calim various things. When I left Outlook Express behind I assumed I was doing the right thing exporting to a wab file to back it up!
I've even installed OutlookXP now from an old office CD, but it can't import WAB files!! Can the version on the bundled CD?
There must be another way of getting a wab address book onto the Diamond?

Contacts not syncing on Tytn II

Hi folks,
I've recently noticed that my contacts are no longer syncing from my PC > mobile. I've noticed this because I've recently added two new contacts, and couldn't find them when I wanted to call them!
To give more info, my environment is: -
O/S: Vista, SP1
ROM: Stock T-Mobile Vario III, WM6
Office: 2007, using Outlook 2007
Additional notes: -
- sync up with 2 computers, but contacts only sync with the home one (calendar + tasks on both).
- Recently acquired a SE W880i of my brother for weekends, which syncs up with Outlook as well, via a SE program.
I've searched for an answer, and the only one that sounds reasonable is maybe the photo is too big, but the other contact doesn't have a pic, so most likely not the problem.
Many thanks in advance for the help! ^^
.... I take it take it's not a common problem, then?
OK, I've figured out a workaround, in case anyone else has this problem.
what I did on the PC was copy the details onto notepad, then delete the contact. My PPC then synced (as it was cradled), and made another copy of it out of spite! I then deleted the new contact, and it was deleted on both.
After this, I made a new contact and filled in the details again, pic and all, and it synced up all nice again! the other contacts also played nice, so all's good.
Note: I didn't have a problem with tasks nor calendar throughout, so Idon't know if it affected anything (most likely not in my case).
Hope that'll help anyone who had the same prob.
Thanks for sharing it with us.I also had the same problem...
