Hello, couple of days ago i moved back to windows mobile and bought a HD...So far i have flashed the latest stock ROM, Dutty's 2.3,Touch of HD 3.4.2, wm 6.5 version ..... and I would say the stock ROM is the best so far
Other options ? Any ideas which is the most used rom ?

the roms we use, are the ones we like. you need to run the one you like
you wont get a vote here on "whose is the best rom?"
didn't ask whose rom is the best....i asked what is the rom that most of you use and maybe why...I don't want any vote....I don't think any chief would mind hearing opinions about their roms....Might help em gettin better .....Anyways, if the staff thinks that my question is wrong...the thread can be trashed

i use win 6.5 miri xtralight with winterface.
it is faster than the original roms, and seems to be more stable than duttys..

I think the 2 most common rom's used (correct me if I'm wrong) are Duttys & Laurentius26
Dutty has a number of rom's released with varied reports on each so its best to read each thread and make up your own opinion. Personally the best thing you could do is flash a rom, try it out and make your own opinion. I have flash3ed countless rom's and still haven't found the perfect one!

It depends which criteria you have. On rom is stable, another have more functions another a nicer interface another is faster another has more free space.
Write down your own criteria and check which ROM is the best for. Most of the users here are still searching (see Fallen Spartan)

Me too. I am back to stock, although I did compress manilla textures in it.
Even tried many radios, but back to stock radio as well.
Great thing are done with roms here, but they have IMHO to many oddities.
Still, HTC could learn a trick or two overhere....
I did flash my Elf (Old Touch) with a mature cooked rom, and I am happy with that.
No doubt there will be great Touch HD roms here, when I have bought my Pro2
I have also tried Laurentius26 ROM.It has a lot of features that i like (big start menu...i mean very big :-D)....but also found some bugs (i fixed one)...It's very fast and i like that
Duttys is a little to slow...i think...
I will flash right now the xtralight version of miri's 6.5 wm (now that viczena said that it's fast)

Very very duummm question? Or is it, where can i get Stock WM 6.1, i flashed mine, and i dont know wich one to use, they are all great, so i am heading back to original? So if you could please help me.
Well i'm just going along with whatever roms come out, so far tryed 6 of them a week apart, about same. I'm sticking now to 1 new rom a month.

So could you please tell me if there is any rom with nice interface? I've tried most of Duty's , MaryOne and much more, but I can't find any which has cool TF3D, every tab backgrund (I don't want to spend half of my day to resize a picture just to make a background for every tabs).

Sure it is possible, but the more important question is whether it is meaningful. I had some plans to do so, but there is not enough interest at all .
But the fact that you read/write in an English forum shows that you are capable of English, so why you don't want to use a WWE Rom ?

I think SPB Mobile Shell is better as the original TouchFlow, so that would be the first thing to "cut" out and mabye the Media Player. The Coreplayer is much better

I have the last german uDK Rom on my Touch Cruise and i think it's the best so the Blackstone ROM could be like this.

You know that the Media Player is essential for a good video playback experience, at least of you are keen on high quality without stuttering .

As far as I know it is not capable of using hardware acceleration.

Yes, it's good and stable. But no Manila 2, no WM 6.5...

It looks really nice and runs nearly judder-free.

Hmm, now i tested this ROM for few days. There are still some issues with it.
Im going to try a ROM with Sense 2.1

I think he was referring to the touchflo found in rhodium/topaz into blackstone.

1. yes, you can install it. Use one of the latest ROMs presented here:

3. opera ist mostly integrated in these ROMs as well
4. take a look at the stickies. there you will find the answer how to flash ROMS.

Yes i know that there are many many many answers to my questions all around the xda forum ... but ... it is so hard to find answers to these i think the most IMPORTANT questions.
I mean up to date answers. The newest one. And the ones that works 100 percently.
I think there should be an independent section with the most important things and solutions for BLACKSTONE moderated by some senior members only and locked threads with answers ... So if someone needs the most basic and 100 percent functionable solution he or she goes there and don´t have to boather others like me with my thread ... and get the answers instantly ... something like sum up of some threads ...

i think you shuould try every radio... because newest radio may eat you battery in a day ... yes,yes signal is good , but 8 hours and you are empty... for me 1.10 the best .. good signal , good battery .. 1.14 very good signal - 1 day battery . now use unoff 1.5 too
play with that - and you will find the best for you....

My radio seems to be quite weak as well, barely hooking onto HSDPA. It's 1.14.25.55
Any recommendations would be great, and I'd love to read some more reviews in here.

I was just reading the WiKi page and seen all those.... but I am confused what ROM I should select SO looking for a generic feedback on what is good what is bad.
Actually I dont want ROM to be loaded with so many app. Looking for similar to what I have in mobile now but updated version...
I hope your device has latest Official ROM installed.
You will get all custom ROMs here which are mainly modify version of the Official ROM and has latest SYS/Builds and new Packages (new applications like adobe reader).
These ROMs are good, but NOT all ROM will satisfy every one. i.e ROM1 may good for person1 and person 4, but person 2 and 3 may like ROM2.
So it is good to test all available food and decide which dish tests you a lot .

With all the respect to your very correct and right answer (prabhat), this is in my opinion, very first and tha main problem, why the more and more people will switch to devileshed i-phone. The main difference betwen i-phone and wm 6.5 dev. is the "user-friendly" parameter. In no discuss, the wm 6.5 is more professional with more the features then the i-phone. But the people would like tu use the phone with satisfaction and enjoyness. Maybe the right answer for TD2IN will be something from you honest opinion, what do YOU think, that will be best solution for him/her. The ROM, which is stable, fast, simple, user friendly. The people need some help ... Have a nice day.

Here is my answer, i has been using Stock, Energy Standard and now i switch to "eclipse Version 7 (Updated)"
The eclipse looks to me very close to the Stock and fastest with few useful Apps.
I amalso looking for a ROM here and new here.

You may not like the same, but you need to atleast try 3-4 and select one that suite your usage/style etc.

As Dutty is not updating and Photon ha much stable and good so I am using that.

Did you get your ROM ?
I am still in the process to find my cup of tea...
I started with Dutty's ROM... but this has old version... so started picking others.
Now I have tested below softwares but yet to finilise one:
1) Energy ROM - The Energy Standard one
2) CR192 Mozart OS
3) Photon ROM OS - Stock edition one
I like the stock rom apprach of photon and energy, but energy has lots of application pre installed which I dont want. If I see CR192 that is also very good pick. So I am looking at battery life now and should be finilise in 2 -3 days.

Energy ROM FTW
I tried a few ROMs with my Topaz and settled at Energy ROM (with start menu at top).
I used to install a load of stuff with each ROM and this was the most complete ROM with the most flexible Sense UI. The only 2 apps I needed to install on top of Energy is Skype and TomTom Navigator.
I like that it has the manual rotate programmed on holding the Answer button (I used to install a keyboard extender to do it before using Energy ROMs) so it can manually rotate apps not built for auto rotate like Tomtom. More importantly, I can turn off auto rotate on apps coz often I don't want auto rotate like when Im lying on couch/bed reading or using it for music. Fark I hate the UI rotating when I dont want it to! I find auto rotate an annoying gimmick made popular by Apple. Just gimme manual rotate, thx.
I prefer Resco Explorer to Total Commander but I havent bothered to install Resco and live fine with Total Commander that comes with the Energy ROM. I understand that Resco is not freeware so they can't include it.
I like that all the JAVA and DOTNET stuff is all done, has a good wireless hotspot app already, Opera with max tabs set for more than 2 already, TCPMP media player working well, RSS feed app, Twitter, Stocks tab .... I could go on and on. It pretty much has all the good freeware and tweaks and all the hard work already done for you.
I don't use my Topaz daily now, but I still use the same version of Energy ROM on my Blackstone (Touch HD) as my personal mobile phone. I used to also carry the Topaz with a data only SIM in it for internet access, but now I use a Dell Streak (android) to do that. Yeh Im crazy I carry TWO phones everywhere!
IF you wanna get up and going right out of the box, Energy ROM is the most complete and ready for the Topaz.
Instead I Liked Photon ROM and CR192 Mozart and currently running with Photon UX Edition.
I liked Energy, but that is toooooo bulky with so many applications which I dont require and to me looks ugly on my device and I can not remove those. In case of Photon ROM I dont have any extra stuffs so I can Install what I need not what some one gives me to use, whihc I dont require. I understand that there are many who may like what is given on the ROM that they use... but I like to have my stuff in my device.
Photon UX - plus Chinese support + handwriting ftw!
I've tried many ROMs in search of a better replacement for my TD2's sluggish official ROM (SEA version), and I've fallen in love with Photon UX edition and its professional looking background art.
Even better, I have managed to install Xyam's East Asian fonts support, Guobi for pinyin and character inputs, and Samsung's simple + traditional Chinese handwriting input V3.0 (my version comes from sanxingshouxieshurufa_8313 and fits the screen perfectly). Don't bother trying out the menu icon for the Samsung input though, the options don't work, only full screen handwriting is enabled. Otherwise, everything works perfectly as far as I can tell!
