Touch diamond 2 rom will be portable to HD

Hey,
Something that came in my mind when i was viewing the specs of the touch diamond 2 in comparison to our HD. They are pretty much the same apart from some hardware buttons (zoom slider), and screen size. Though both have WVGA resolution.
I was thinking when the so beloved "free update" to WM6.5 comes out for the diamond somewhere in the future. Wont that rom be directly installable for our HD? Since all the hardware is the same?. Would ease my mind a lot knowing that i can still have exactly the same
greetings.
I don't really see the point, we have great cookers here, so if you want WM6.5, you already can. Latest updates from Diamond 2 will be sure used to make a ROM.
For your question, a ROM from another device can't be installed without modifications.
There are quite a few ROMs in this section that use the diamond 2 and touch pro 2 new TF3D (topaz and rhodium) and quite a few also do windows mobile 6.5 however because it is still unreleased they are not completly stable and up to speed. this will most lightly change when WM6.5 is released.
there are also ROMs here that have both the ROMs in this section can all be flashed onto the Touch HD.
Maybe some of the the sofewares from Diamond2 can be used in HD rom,but I don't think the ROMS between two device can be used for each other directly.
No you can't update directly because the hardware is not the same. For example buttons, Gestures etc. While it is close to the same it will still require a cook to combine the two devices drivers and software together.
Funny!
I thinks the rom for the diamond 2 is not work in our HD,

Which D3D and OpenGL ES drivers for X1?

Hi guys,
I see there are a bunch of installable D3D driver versions in the forums for different HTC devices. Which one should we use for the X1 and are any of the cooked ROMs using them?
Has anyone tried the different versions and has an opinion to share?
With the driver issue being such a big one I thought it would be easier to find specific information about drivers for the X1, but I guess my forum search skills suck or something.

Developement goes slow, and I noticed no/minor improvement on X1.
Did saw some cooks here in the Xperia ROM section using the drivers (don't know exactly which, agent_47??)
need to know 2!
Thank you, Lokatho!
I see agent_47 has cooked the drivers into his latest Valkyrie ROM (Firestorm 2.9)... Will have to give that one a try!
This is an awesome place. New ROMs all the time, so fast!

HTC Sense 2.5 for Kaiser?

I have done a bunch of searching, here + google, but did not find any threads for HTC Sense 2.5 (on WinMo) on Kaiser... so just checking to see if there are any packages available to do so that I may have missed?
thx 4 the help
Looking for this too! (Could not find anything on the forums or using google)
BTW - the new (upcoming sense) for android looks awesome!
I very much doubt that the processor would be good enough to handle it. Don't the newer devices have dedicated 3D chips in them?

Click to collapse
Also the storage space of our device as there are so many dependencies of other software to make 2.1 & 2.5 Sense work also CPU Speed into the equation..
There are many discussions as have been ported to VGA and many chefs say about the problems regard processor so imagine it for us, well i get to test in next couple of days so will update thread
Well, you can get a ersatz Sense on a Kaiser with some of the look and some of the feel by (a) Installing pointui and then (b) Installing the pointsense suite of applets

HTC Camera

Hi to all
i'm using MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.5 ROM
and trying to install the HTC Camera from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10546829&postcount=125
but it doesn't work...
can someone help me please???
I did exactly some thing along with library files, but it doesnt worked. I installed it and restarted the mobile and it stucked at htc hd2 boot screen image. Wait for Mdj to have this in the build. But only possible if we all request him!

i've posted this in the rom thread there was some response from ppl who want this too but havn't heard from MDJ yet...
don't know what to do this is the only rom that works good for me exept WM
and WP7 is out of the quastion cause it's still lack of good hebrew support and a good gps software
so android it is....
hopfully more ppl will ask for it and mabe in the next realese we all will have the HTC Camera unless there is another way to make it work wich i would very like to know!!
You can't install HTC Sense applications on non-Sense ROMs because the apps require an underlying Sense framework, which is not open source and has not/cannot be ported - I doubt MDJ is focusing on this. Same reason you can't use Sense widgets on non-sense ROMs. Gist of it is it that if you want Sense anything (Except that one keyboard port), use Sense. Else use Vignette or Camera 360.
Has been asked many times over, might be worth searching before posting next time.

Sorry Guys,
This Cam don't work on Gingerbread.
It needs the HTC Framework, Sense and some other files.
Maybe if in Future comes an Gingerbread with Senes it works.
