Pointui.com ?

helllo guys.
has someone tried home on this site ?
I tried it on my S200 and it works perfect. It is fast, no bugs at all and it looks nice!
I use it version 1.5 on my Hermes, and it works mostly OK. it still has a few problems.
It does not want to work on my touch diamond...
It lauches to the start screen then bombs out.
SPB mobile shell seems to work tho, and to me it seems better. You can even get a diamond skin for it, and the whole thing runs alot better than touchflow!
I've hard reset and cleaning up to use spb mobile shell.
At this moment, pointUI only has one alpha release of VGA devices:
http://forums.pointui.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=862
Only an older version of PointUI will work at this moment. But there is laso a thread about the Diamond, so in time, it will I think

Touch Flo future -> HTC Sense interface

Hy all,
Do you guys believe we will someday have the new Sense interface from HTC Hero for the Raphael?
That works with Windows Mobile, or we change to Android?
We change to Android.
But we can boot android on windows mobile so it is not so big problem
Yes Kinda
The article on this site www.wmpoweruser.com says that they are planning to have it on WM devices in the near future.
wow and already a new touchflo 3d interface at the top of that link
Any eta time yet?
I hope it comes to the G1 soon, it looks amazing.
Ported to the G1 already.
iPhone skinners are already making a version of it as well.
I think it's one of the best looking UIs ever made.
No, it's not better than sense. Sense > Touch Flo
thats debatable.
Boooo, i'll stick to Touch Flo the hero is ugly i hate how it bends at the bottom and that stupid little ball
Better the ball than nothing(HD,Pro2,D2)
Sense looks good, but I think the video is a bit faster than normal,so I don't think it will be soooo fast as presented. Have seen similar video with TP and comparable fast Manila, but we know the reality...
I doubt that the interface is as smooth as the video as well, but I doubt it's as crappy slow as TF3D is. Touch Flo is cool, but if I was willing to shell out coin for SPB Mobile shell, it cuoldn't have been THAT great right? If Sense lives up to the video, I'd gladly get rid of MS.

Is there a photo viewer like the iPhones?

Not a fan of the iPhone but it does do some things well and I think the photo viewer is brilliant - full screen display and rotated correctly. Have been hunting for a WM6 equivalent but failed miserably. Does anyone know if there is there anything comparable out there?
There is S2V - Slide To View. You have to install a new version and see, if you like it or not.
Another option is to get HTC Album 3 from a Rhodium ROM or something like that. That was a nice finger flipping picture viewer as well.

Resco photo viewer 7 beta puts an end to this problem
I second what jpijper says, the new Resco Photo Viewer beta is brilliant, get it here: http://www.resco.net/forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=27422
Big Thanks
Thanks to all for your swift & helpful replies. Have just installed Resco photo viewer 7 beta and I totally agree - its brilliant - just what I needed
S2V is slooooow and irresponsive if you have a lot of large pictures. I'd rather use either Sony's photo viewer or try Resco Photo Beta.
On the link above, it leads to Beta 5, not 7. Is '7' a typo or is there really a Beta 7 ?

Try google: resco photo viewer beta 7.
Another vote for Resco here. I'm using 6.3 atm and it's like a mini Photoshop lol.
I'll change to 7 when the final version comes out. I tried it on a friend's phone and it's amazing.

Yes, hadn't checked but it is the V5 beta edition I installed, due to expire in Nov 09...having said that, its excellent - on that basis, the newer versions must be well worth a look!
The numbers seem to have been confused a little in this thread - Resco have had Photo Viewer 6 out for years. Photo Viewer 7 is their new product that is in the Beta stage. There have been 5 betas of it so far, therefore the one in the link is the most up to date - Photo Viewer 7 Beta 5. HTH.
It's good but not excellent. I really liked to zoom with the iPhone. Hopefully LEO will have better picture viewer. But Resco is the best for WinMo

Aah, thanks. That makes sense.
I use S2V and very happy with its basic functions. Resco may be trying to do too much on a phone devise.
Tried a version of HTC Album3, but it appears to be for older version of WM, is there a link for an Xperia compatible cab file ?
Gee .. that Resco thing looks good !

See here:

I think O2 is a Initial of Omnia 2 not O2 Devices
O2 = Omnia 2
This is a great little app. If you need a compass or just want to play with one, this works very well and no bugs that I have found. Thanks to the dev.
Awesome app..!! .. Use it only for Flashlight purposes.. works gr8.. !! Kudos to the dev..
It works in B7610!!!
It also works very well in samsung omnia pro B7610
Thanks for the info.

Hi,
Does that mean there is a compass built into the Omnia Pro B7610 then, even though all the spec-sheets say there isn't one? That would be fantastic! I've head rumours...
(I've also posted this question elsewhere on this forum so sorry for duplicating.)
Version 3.2 has been released!
This app is awesome..!
and a metal detector in my phone..!, never imagined..
Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful program
One minor little problem with the installation. It doesn't recognise that you have already a version on your phone before it installs the new version. Basically you end up with two versions on your phone.
No major problem - just remove the previous version before you load the new one.
Mr Frog
Looks like a cool app, any plans on making it work on the hd2?
Thanks,
Ed
thanks man !!!
Thanks....
Good job, I love the program and took time looking for something like this.
One suggestion in the water level, why not move the vertical bar to the left and in the space put a circle with the position of the bubble?. Would be more complete and striking.
Thanks ........

I tried to find an SDk for HTC, but I cannot found any (need dll, because this project is made under VB .NET CF).
Other:
Over 5000 downloads of the v3.31 from 4shared
The hungarian version is almost 900.
On the freewarepocketpc.net the downloads count is over 35.000!!!
Over 45.000 hit on Google!!!
I never imagined this!
I'm really happy and I can only thank you it for you guys!
Other 2:
If someone have any experience in 3D programming on Windows Phone, under Visual Basic .NET Compact Framework (VS2007) I can really appriciate some help in to move the project to 3D (Directdraw, OpenGL ES or Direct3D - especially under OpenGL ES, because it's the best on WM). PM me or send an email.

[ArkSwitch] HTC Notification-LIKE Theme [UPDATE 07/16/10 BUGFIX]

Here's my theme for ArkSwitch. I wanted it to look much like HTC's notification enhancement since I use them side-by-side.
Click image to view full resolution
Instructions:
1. Make sure you have ArkSwitch v1.14 installed.
2. [Update 07/02/2010: QVGA tested and working, I will assume it works in VGA and WQVGA as well]Make sure your resolution is WVGA; I am not supporting other resolutions. But others may feel free to port it.
3. Download attached ZIP file.
4. Quit ArkSwitch if it is running.
5. Extract ZIP contents to ArkSwitch "Theme" folder.
6. Start up ArkSwitch. Done!
Updates:
07/17/10 - crash bug fixed on HD2 (final?)
*Special thanks to toadlife for the original X-button PNG's*
wow!! great one!!! will you make it for qvga resolution???
As I said in my post I will not support other resolutions because I only have WVGA devices now. But others are free to port it.
Absolutely Great Mate!!! That was exactly what i was looking for. ArkSwitch optically never really fitted into Sense but now... Im happy
EDIT: Hmm damn ArkSwitch constantly Crashes when using your theme. Im running it with RTTs ROM on HD2 (Win 6.5.3 Manila 2013) Any suggestions...?
Error see pics
After crash, the Device runs extremely slow and needs to be Softreseted.
fantastic theme, thanks!
OMFG, this is starting to irritating me xD Next nice theme that fits me, I look at the author and ONCE AGAIN it's ShowTime7 X_X
Congratulations, good work
Any help please...?
Very nice! I'll cook these in my ROMs from now on!
ill make the QVGA version shall upload in a few
showtime7, it turns out your skin does work well on QVGA too. This is confirmed and working. here are the screens
thanks for this mate

I am aware of this... But I didn't think it was related to my theme. I had to remove ArkSwitch due to the crashing... If you are certain that it's only after my theme is applied that it crashes, then I will look into my XML and see if I made an error.
NRGZ, please don't cook this yet until we figure this out! At least not in 6.5 HD2 roms.
Unfortunately I am not a developer so if it's not related to my theme it's not something I can fix. I didn't do much but edit the colors and images in the XML file.

Thanks for testing, I will update my post.
Anybody else experiencing the crash? From the ArkSwitch changelog the last 2 updates to the app were crash fixes so this leads me to believe it's not my theme causing it.
Seems to work fine with mine.
Hey Showtime, I sent you a pm with a link. Hope you like it.
Finally a simple solid theme for arkswitch. I've been using it on:
Energy.RHODCDMA.23569.Sense2.5.Cookie.Jun.22
... since you released it with no crashes or any issues other than minor scrolling lag in the process list - but that happens with the other sub par arkswitch themes I've used in the past. I'm chalking that up to the display API used in the app.
Kudos for working on this. Bonus if NRZ bakes it in future ROMs.

I am thinking of changing everything to GIF and maybe this will boost performance... Will need to change the one with transparency though since only PNG can offer transparency. Hopefully the app accepts GIF format images.
great, a whole lot better now (works fine with the Energy ROM's)
Great minds think alike!
Nice! Wish I'd seen that before hand could have saved myself some time lol.
cool theme, matches perfectly to my current ROM and other themes.
Thanx a lot.
