Hi all,
I have the Topaz(Diamond 2) and is the first phone with the TouchFlo 3D interface (my last phone was an XDA Orbit 2)
One of the things that infuriates me, is when using the swipe gesture to scroll through SMS/email messages.
On the SMS screen, to read the second most recent message, swiping your finger up the screen selects the next oldest message. However, on the email page, to read the second most recent email you have to swipe your finger DOWN the screen. On top of that, if you are reading the most recent email message (on the 'preview/envelope screen) and accidentally swipe up, it opens the email.
This is bugging the hell out of me. I want consistency dammit!!!!
Is there a reg hack or some other way of making them both up/down?!??!?!

Sorry to ask a question that is possibly in the manual I haven't been able to access yet (disc is at home, I and phone are at work) .. but, is it possible to show more than just the next appointment in the diary on the scroll down diary entry from the home screen??
EDIT: also, is anyone else finding that the screen goes blank during a call so you can't then access the buttons on-screen without having to switch the device back to life??
Thanks folks!
The screen going off during the call is a feature. Stops your ear from setting other programs off during the call!
There should be a setting in the today screen that allows more diary events....can't tell exactly where (I don't have mine yet).

Does swiping upwards in the today screen help? This changes the big clock to a small clock with more information below it.
Hi, Anyone else notice the problem ?
If scrolling Text Messages in manilla, then to go to the latest(newest) message I must swipe from top to bottom (up sweep) right ?
Why then when scrolling on the emails in manilla do I have to swipe from bottom to top (Down Sweep) to get to the latest (Last) email sent ?
Sorry if this has been brought up, I havent found it in search ?
Or am I wrong ?
This was annoying me big time as I never remembered which way to swipe and it would open the email till I noticed the different pages in the envelop.
As much as I love the touchflo navigation as much I find it very inconsistent!
Please look at this:
In Contacts I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move DOWN the list
In Messages I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move UP the list
In E-mails I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move DOWN the list
In Opera I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move UP the page
In Pictures I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move UP the list
In Music I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move DOWN the list
In Weather I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move UP the list
In Settings I need to swipe the screen from up to down to move UP the list
Is it only me who finds the amazingly confusing and not at all intuitive?
More importantly, is there a way to change what "swipe from up to down" does for each application within touchflo so I can make it consistent without having to think "ok, this is e-mail, so I need to swipe the opposite way than when reading smses"?

LOL - never noticed that, which is to say it never bothered me...
Nice to see that someone else than me noticed this!
I use pocket informant. But If I want to use the touchflo, I'm pretty stuck to its layout for the today screen. What I noticed is sometimes, if I go into landscape and try to open the calender or contacts, it opens the WM version, not the PI version. Then when I switch back to portrait, the calender/contacts button is messed up sometimes still. Only way to get it to display correctly, is by opening the calender version of PI, then by clicking on the calender button on the "today" screen, it gets remapped.
Did that make sense? Any way to stop it from opening the crappy WM version?

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but you can remap the calendar button on the touchflo home screen (AND the landscape button screen) with SSMaPa. Do a search for it over in the Diamond Themes forum.
Keep in mind it was written for the Diamond touchflo and has some bugs on the Touch Pro. There are some posts late in the thread that explain how to get it to work on the Touch Pro. It worked fine for me.
Sometimes when I am trying to text I can only see one line and my phone doesn't allow me to scroll down. If I hit enter I can still only see the one line. Anyone else have this problem?

That will happen occassionally. I think the only way to fix it is by closing and then reopening the messaging app.
I have seen this happen often if you hit a button to launch the messaging app, and then slide the keyboard open (causing screen rotation) while the app is loading. It gets confused and makes the text entry area fall under the bottom button bar.
The answer is to completely close and re-open the messaging app, and always wait until it is fully loaded before sliding the keyboard out.
Another trick is to load the SIP. Touch the keyboard icon on the bottom of the screen and it will push the text input window out.
