Sometimes when I am trying to text I can only see one line and my phone doesn't allow me to scroll down. If I hit enter I can still only see the one line. Anyone else have this problem?

That will happen occassionally. I think the only way to fix it is by closing and then reopening the messaging app.
I have seen this happen often if you hit a button to launch the messaging app, and then slide the keyboard open (causing screen rotation) while the app is loading. It gets confused and makes the text entry area fall under the bottom button bar.
The answer is to completely close and re-open the messaging app, and always wait until it is fully loaded before sliding the keyboard out.
Another trick is to load the SIP. Touch the keyboard icon on the bottom of the screen and it will push the text input window out.

Hey all,
I've managed to get a far better response on my keyboard by making a simple change. I find it surprising that the keyboard issue only affects Pocket Outlook, I've never had a problem elsewhere.
Anyway, the fix is to change the keyboard repeat settings. In Settings/System/Keyboard, click "Repeats Setting" and increase the "Delay before first repeat". Now this is where it gets wierd...Outlook actually ignores this setting. It's labeled as "up/down key repeat setting" and it does actually control the up/down action on the Today screen in the same way as the same control on a regular computer. But it doesn't work on the hardware keyboard on the phone, and I expect that this incompatibility leads to the problem. It reminds me a lot of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switch#Contact_bounce in electronics, basically you aren't getting a clean "key down" then "key up" event from each keypress.
Hope this helps some of you!
The problem in Messaging is that every time you type a letter into the message field the horizontal scrollbar appears and disappears. This happens every keypress. Since keypress = keyDown + keyUp, and the scrollbar appears during keyDown, the OS sometimes (quite often when you type fast) misess the keyUp event, repeating and repeating and repeating the processing of keyDown event.
The kb lag is present in ALL apps (try typing FAST in Notes), but most of the apps do not do anything specific between keyDown and keyUp, thus the lag is not as easy to 'notice'.
Yeah, I still get the scrollbar problem, however before making this change Messaging was completely unusable for me. I had to wait 1sec between key presses otherwise I just get gobbledygook on the screen. It was very frustrating and I assumed that's what people refered to by "keyboard lag". The scrollbar thing is a different problem altogether and just a minor annoyance for me now, a purely visual one.
At the moment I can type "the quick brown fox..." in both Messaging and Notes at full speed with no errors. Yesterday I could not do that in Messaging at all.
Yup... The MOST annoying thing about the kblag is the backspace-key auto-repeat :|
I just slided the setting to 7 and it's great now. Thanks fraser.
Hi, on my 8525 I was able to type in an email address or a phone number for a txt message and press tab to get to the body to begin typing my message. Now i must touch my screen in the boddy to get my cursor there. Anyone know a tweak for this?
Also, when i open my txt messages or emails it opens in the body one level down... so that the first line i see to read is the 3rd line of the body. every time i get a txt message (SMS) or email i must press page up.
Any help is appreciated !
are you using any tweaks currently?
Can't you just press the down arrow to swap from the addressee input to the body of the message? Oh, and about the message opening scrolled down, try disabling the PIE d-pad navigation through kaisertweak. I know that fixes a similar issue where messages open at the bottom.
I am seeing the same thing and no, the down button just scrolls. The only tweaks i am using are from the "KaiserTweak" app.

just disable the IE dpad navigation like sWuRv said and it should work!

KaiserTweak>PocketIE>D-Pad Scroll Navigation>Disabled(Default)
I had the same problem once
that resolved both issues. THANKS !!!!
A very annoying thing happens when I open a text message on my Kaiser. The default vertical position is all the way at the bottom of the message, causing none of the message to actually show up on the screen. I always have to scroll to the top. This happens for all messages--unread, read, sent. Is there any way to change this?
If you have Kaisertweaks loaded ... under pocketie dpad scroll should be disabled. (believe that was a fix last time I searched..)
Yep, that's what worked for me

Thanks guys, Tht's been annoying me too. Gotta love these forums!
Thanks. That worked, however I really liked having the D-Pad function enabled because I hated PocketIE scrolling to the next link rather than just scrolling down. Is there any other way to fix the problem?
This happens all the time:
The part of the website with the text entry box finishes loading. You tap it, start typing, as you're typing, something else finishes loading and the keyboard vanishes - often causing you to tap on some ad banner on accident. Is there any way to minimize this? Other than waiting until its 'safe' to start?
Bump
You can either wait till the page loads fully or click on the stop icon to manually stop the page from loading unwanted stuff and interfere with your replies
More often than not, when I push the 'stop' button; rather then keeping the partially loaded site in a freeze-frame, it whites out the whole browser window. I'd love to see a 'force retain' option on the keyboard (I use A.I. Type) for those of us that don't appreciate indefinite load times.
The one feature I hate the most of my Z3C is this:
A call comes in, and I start fumbling with trying to wipe away screens (notifications, messaging, any given app that's open) so I can get to the accept call window where I can swipe left to right, red to green, and answer the call!
Is there an app or setting (I use Xperia and Nova launchers) I can activate to prioritize incoming calls so they will show over any other app that may be open? This is especially frustrating in low light or mobile/car situations where cleaning up my desktop quick enough to answer a call before it goes to VM is about the last thing I want to do.

An incoming call always shows up on top of everything else. If it doesn't then you've done something to your phone.

I am sorry, but It does not, unless by "showing up" you mean that tiny strip with even tinier wording and symbols on top of the tiny (5") screen?
Try this: Put up the "Notifications" screen, or even the blank home screen. Then have someone call your phone. Now a small strip with a tiny phone symbol and even tinier wording " accept" or "decline" appears at the top; if you are not in the home screen, that prompt disappears within two seconds. If I want to answer the call when not in home screen, I have to swipe away several open screens of activities to get to that small phone prompt again before I can finally answer the phone.
The only way to get the big swipe-left-to-right, from red to green phone prompt is by first finding and pressing the phone symbol on my home screen (after first having to get back to the home screen, when other screens are up!)
But I want this symbol to prioritize the screen, automatically, every time, regardless of other screen activity.
How do I prioritize and superimpose the big red/green answer prompt over any of my current screen(s)? I want a simple "answer this call now" prompt, not a multi-step fumbling exercise to access the main function of this device!
Any help out there?
