Need incoming call window to override other windows - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The one feature I hate the most of my Z3C is this:
A call comes in, and I start fumbling with trying to wipe away screens (notifications, messaging, any given app that's open) so I can get to the accept call window where I can swipe left to right, red to green, and answer the call!
Is there an app or setting (I use Xperia and Nova launchers) I can activate to prioritize incoming calls so they will show over any other app that may be open? This is especially frustrating in low light or mobile/car situations where cleaning up my desktop quick enough to answer a call before it goes to VM is about the last thing I want to do.

An incoming call always shows up on top of everything else. If it doesn't then you've done something to your phone.

I am sorry, but It does not, unless by "showing up" you mean that tiny strip with even tinier wording and symbols on top of the tiny (5") screen?
Try this: Put up the "Notifications" screen, or even the blank home screen. Then have someone call your phone. Now a small strip with a tiny phone symbol and even tinier wording " accept" or "decline" appears at the top; if you are not in the home screen, that prompt disappears within two seconds. If I want to answer the call when not in home screen, I have to swipe away several open screens of activities to get to that small phone prompt again before I can finally answer the phone.
The only way to get the big swipe-left-to-right, from red to green phone prompt is by first finding and pressing the phone symbol on my home screen (after first having to get back to the home screen, when other screens are up!)
But I want this symbol to prioritize the screen, automatically, every time, regardless of other screen activity.
How do I prioritize and superimpose the big red/green answer prompt over any of my current screen(s)? I want a simple "answer this call now" prompt, not a multi-step fumbling exercise to access the main function of this device!
Any help out there?

How do I bring up my call log/history

I'm going nuts here. After searching google and this forum I simply can't find a way to bring up my call history. Ie the full log that you can see when you have a missed called and you click the phone with an exclamation mark in the top bar of the phone.
I know I can view history for individuals in the contact manager but how do I bring up the full log?
With normal ROM?
I remember it was something like pressing Dial button (green button) and then press UP on your pad.
ps. Hi all on the forums, after reading here for some time i decided to post aswell
If it's the stock rom the icon is on the today screen to the right of the text message icon. Otherwise in the dialer app it's the icon that looks like a phone with and arrow wrapped around it just below the video call icon. Hope this helps.
Press the green dial button and up or right pad button. It will open the call log. Alternatively, on the dialer screen, there is a call history button below the backspace and video call button.
Cheers.

HTC Home, Contacts tab, preventing accidental autodialling?

Is there any way to make the people icons in the Contacts tab of HTC Home jump to the phone screen with the contact set ready to dial, but wait for you to press the Green call button before it actually dials? It's far too easy to accidentally dial someone via that panel with an inadvertant touch at present. It's still a handy way to get to your favourite contacts quickly, but I'd much prefer the 'safety net' of having to press the green button to actually initiate the call. Is there such an option?

HTC Today Plugin different icons?

It's been awhile since I played around with the software tweaks that I put onto the phone but one of the ones I installed I think came through the kaisertweak. On my today screen I have a mini bar of icons for different programs such as the battery meter, open a new text message, screen rotator, and a call history icon. Is there a way for me to change those icons? The call history is the one that bugs me the most. I want to change it from call history to something that opens the phone screen. I find it rather difficult to initiate a call without having to go through contacts first. The only other way I know to do it is to use the start button, but it would be nice to open the phone screen right from the today screen.

Problem with Keyboard when texting

Sometimes when I am trying to text I can only see one line and my phone doesn't allow me to scroll down. If I hit enter I can still only see the one line. Anyone else have this problem?

That will happen occassionally. I think the only way to fix it is by closing and then reopening the messaging app.
I have seen this happen often if you hit a button to launch the messaging app, and then slide the keyboard open (causing screen rotation) while the app is loading. It gets confused and makes the text entry area fall under the bottom button bar.
The answer is to completely close and re-open the messaging app, and always wait until it is fully loaded before sliding the keyboard out.
Another trick is to load the SIP. Touch the keyboard icon on the bottom of the screen and it will push the text input window out.

[APP] [4.0+] Screen Locker v1.0 Keep Nosey People Out

Screen Locker is an app that allows you to lock the screen. It locks the screen in a way that prevents someone from trying to press buttons and touch the screen to change what you want to show them. They can still use the power buttons and some devices the home button is not consumed, but they still shouldn't be able to exit the app you locked them to.
Once you activate the lock, which is done by swiping in from the activation window, you can then pass your phone around to all your friends to show them that funny picture, hilarious Facebook post, or incriminating text without them trying to delete it, look at other content, exit the app, and pretty much anything you don't want them doing.
Its very simple to use as well:
1. Configure your options and settings as well as unlock pattern
2. Adjust where you want the activation window to be
3. Leave the app
4. Tap the activation window till you feel a vibration then swipe into the center of your screen
5. Share your phone
6. Enter unlock pattern and profit!
I have a couple ideas for the future of this app. I will let you guys play with this one then I'll get your feedback and go from there.
One thing I was thinking is long pressing the activation window to "hide" it allowing you to touch whatever might be under it. There will be a notification allowing you to re-show the activation area again.
Please email me with any recommendations or issues.
If you leave a one star rating, explain why. I cannot improve anything without any constructive criticism! Thanks!
