dude if you would learn to use the search button and look around you would see that there are like 4 or 5 posts about this already. the ones from the nexus dump dont work on any of the roms yet. so please search befor you ask for something.

actually, no. most of them are not running. a lot of the live wallpapers for the nexus one don't work on the g1 just yet.
most of the ones on the market are running , i guess the ones from that site are pre installed on the nexus , and saprano i did search and did read up on the posts , as far as most of those posts are concerned the only working live wallpaper is cube , so i figured the info wus dated , but i guess the q&a section wouldn't be a place for this maybe i should start another thread in the android development

Y do topics like this have 2 b made? *Sigh* u say u searched found [email protected] only the cube is running and figured it was dated info...so if there were more papers available from the Nexus [email protected] every1 is lusting after, do u think u would have had 2 search or make a new thread? think about it, the thread containing them would probably be at the top of the forum. Besides theres already like a million other threads just like this.

Someone made the comment in another thread that I almost replied to but didn't.
The comment was along the lines of "devs are dropping like flies". The posts by OP are one reason why. You share your hard work with everyone, and all they do is cry and complain and beg for more.
This is one of the reasons why I only build ROMs for myself. I don't want to deal with people like OP.
So here is to all the developers present and past who share their work: Thank you.

One thing I want to do is in my forum have a developers section. Each dev can have there own section of the forum as a moderator. something like this:
Devlepoers:
____Dev1
________Version 1 app
________Version 2 app
____Dev2
____Dev3
That way, if you like a dev who doesn't have a site, you can just jump on the forum and go to the dev section and see everything they have created. Little better then sifting threw tons of pages looking for the newest ver of something, or maybe just want to see what else they have developed.
it also has a one spot access for devs to see what other dev have made and maybe incorporate into a rom ect.

I have come to like the game minecraft and I was wondering if anyone had heard word of putting it on android. I have looked on the market but didn't know if any of my fellow nerds had tackled this yet.
The entire game is only 256K or something, don't know if that helps any. The reason I'm looking is my phone handles graphics much better than my laptop and it is portable.
I appreciate any help, I'm just not sure if anyone has tried this or anything similar, but I don't know the difficulty of putting apc game on a phone (imagine it's difficult, but the sims 3...)

First off, minecraft is not open source, it'd have to be ported by notch + friends. Secondly, minecraft is extremely intensive and unoptimized, theres no way its gonna run on our phones. Thirdly, our phones are only running games at 800x480, and the games on android are not comparable to pc's graphically. And lastly, Sims 3 for android and pc are entirely different entities, its not a straight port. Less geometry, lower quality textures, etc. etc.
They are supposed to release a minecraft app. It was all over the net

It may have received more attention in the main android app section but this is the right spot, I agree.
I have not played minecraft personally but I do not know why people think it cannot be possible on android platform. Look at some of the other games on the market. Dungeon Defenders for one has seemingly good graphics and is on android.

I didn't say it was necessarily the wrong section, i only asked why he would post in such a specific section that has almost nothing to do with his request. This is a forum for sharing themes and apps, not app development.
Love minecraft. The launcher is only 256k, the game needs a bit more. in its current form it uses nearly a gig of ram. As it its now, running minecraft isn't gonna happen. Notch says there working on a port, but that will be a while.

AFAIK, Minecraft is coming in some form to iOS in 2012. Didn't hear Android.
Not trying to bring up an old thread but it looks like Minecraft app is getting close to release on Android. I do not know if it will be for Xperia Play phone only or all phones.
