Is there any WinMo software/application similar to the Iphone ColorSplash application out there? If so, what is called and does anyone have feedback on it?
C.!
Im looking for an app similar or just like this for winmo as well. I know that winmo devices dont utilize the multi touch, but a program similar to this would be dope. Heres a little video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwehbr3MRyQ
Thanks
I fail to see the purpose behind this "cool" app, but for example Pocket Artist can achieve the same effect and much much more.
Just duplicate your picture layer, make the top layer B/W and create a mask, select the mask and paint areas you want to have original color with black (these areas will be transparent so you will be able to see the colorful layer beneath). You get exactly the same result and stylus gives you much more precission than a thumb so you can get color to much smaller areas without zooming in by 1600%.
Any if you want to be just cool, tell me what is cooler - an app to make "colorfuls" in your mobile OR a portable mobile photoshop with almost all the great features and tools as the PC/MAC counterparts
EDIT: I am adding an example I made.
Only the sign and back lights of the cars have color

And here is a screenshot of layer configuration in PA

It's about time all of our favorite phones had something fun, and very slightly useful.
I'm not sure how hard it would be to write an App, that acts as an etch-a-sketch. What really gave me this inspiration was i was sent a picture of an etch-a-sketched picture and said to myself man if i had one i would send a better picture right back!
Also shake the TP for more than 2 seconds and BAM your picture is erased, cool huh?
since there are no knobs on the TP the keys could be as i have added in the picture. If anyone is willing to take this on, I believe it would be a very good addition to Raphael software!

Or you could use the touch pad on either side of the dpad for controls by doing circular motions. The bottom touchpad actually allows multi-touch, so you could do both at the same time. The Home/Call side could be for vertical control and the Back/End for horizontal.
You could also use the G-Sensor, allowing the person to tilt the phone around to move the cursor.
well we don't want to use the g-sensors too much so it can be shaken clear
ya use capacitive area or just the scroll wheel then keys for other knob
either way its a cool idea
Would you like graphical resources for apps, UI etc?
like graphics for wp7 UI, aero like.
You can call it GDK (graphical developer kit)
If somebody is interested, i will make some
you are free to request one
thanks for voting on the poll, but give me a idea about the style of the first GDK
I have been trying to assemble a list of what is needed in a business environment ui, so I am looking for graphics that include shapes that divided up into buttons (imagine a 4 slice pie) and generic, yet stylish, icons to represent major funtions / programs (not everyone used tomtom for gps, IE as a browser, etc.) In the end I am looking to create a Sense style UI following the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle. I envision a central disk with buttons N S E W and Center to be the driver control near the bottom of the screen and Info displayed on the top half, with notifications along the edges.
i did a little brainstorming, and this came out:

}
maybe I will also make a GTX GDK, and something like the style of Photoshop Elements

Hello!
I am a bit new in the topic of creating icons. I like the hand-drawn style, this is why I made me some icons for my favourite apps. You can see the items in my Picasa Gallery at http://picasaweb.google.com/110196198576872958715/HandDrawnIcons?authkey=Gv1sRgCJrEjpyc7_2_Gg&feat=directlink or you can download them in JPG with 480x480 in my Dropbox at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14389308/Handdrawn.rar .

I wanna create a theme that looks handmade too. I got no idea how to make those items look good on a background. I would like to use crinkled paper or something as a background. I would really appreciate some help or maybe tipps how to do this.
Thx in advance.
I like the idea!
I have seen something like that for Windows:

Here's a wrinkled paper texture that could be used as background.
http://digitalricky.deviantart.com/...38545187?q=boost:popular+wrinkled+paper&qo=15
Maybe lighten it up a little bit, or add a grid.
I used the textuare and some Gimp skills and created a pre-version of the style
I made the icons 110x122 to fit the 1x1 Desktop Virtualiser widget cause I would like it to look like the tiles from WM7. Do you know if I could bring in my own handwriting which I got as a font to make some time or date widgets?
If you've got it as a font, then I think yes.
Also a little suggestion, if you make the icons transparent, then it looks like it's actually on the paper.
What I mean is just have the drawing lines visible, without the white background you used to draw on.
I'm talking about the colored squares behind the application icons on samsung devices.

MIUI Mod ROM's have almost this exact same look and app drawer scrolls to the sides, iPhone style.
You can find varius flavors of them in the Nexus One Android Development forum here at XDA.
I use ADW EX and it has the option to add something like that.
You can change the color of the box
Thank you both for your suggestions. I'll try em both out. I like that on the Samsung it chooses the color based on the icon. It's more aesthetically pleasing to my eye.
Anymore suggestions are welcome.

You can get the touchwiz launcher here. I'm not sure how up to date it is or if it'll even work with GB but it's only an apk and can be uninstalled easily.
I was wondering if there was a widget of an app that allowed a to do list to look like a picture frame or like the scotch tape picture and pure music players I've seen.
If there is no widget maybe a mod to an existing one that would allow for such?
This is gtask

I would like to make that list on a frame kind of like this
Or even better yet on the one's that look like a paper stuck with scotch tape.
Thanks for any help !

I can't help you with that, but will like to see that too.
And more interesting and realistic photo frame widgets for photos will be nice too. Hope someone skilled in these areas will sail along.
Moogly (I know, **** name but brilliant app) has the option to use images for background, although at present I think it crops your image to fit so a scotch tape mod may not be that great as it would crop off anything outside the background area. But check out the thread and ask the dev what he can do to allow oversized background images - he's real active in the thread and very helpful.
