I have set up delivery reports to be on but I can't seam to find a way to keep them on in the touchflo people texting screen. If I send a txt through the original windows mobile 6.1 threaded view I get a delivery report but not through tf3d. If I tick the request delivery notification I get one but it doesn't stay checked next time I go back. Anyone else have this problem?
Same problem... you can check it and ok but when u go back its not saved.. probably some bug
This issue is on all D2 Topaz, i don't like this behavior.
I don't know if Bug or Feature ...
Go to Start>Messages>Menu>Options and press on SMS/MMS. Check on the Delivery report box and you are done.

No ..
Your description belongs to Windows Mobile: If you write the SMS in Windows Mobile, the deliverey report will work.
But if you write a SMS in TouchFlo Chat-View, deliverey notifications will work, only if you activate the option within the contact every time. It's a well known bug on all D2.
Same problem here. I hope that it will be fixed in WM6.5
It is a usefull option.

It won't be fixed in 6.5, cause it is not Windows Mobile-related.
HTC developed this software and did not make an option to perm. check the delivery report box. A software-modification/update might solve it, or a rom-update with new TouchFLO-software.
Maybe xbmod knows a way to permanently fix this, cause he ported this and the Rhodium version of TouchFLO to many other devices.

I installed the Palm thread app ripped from WM6 device board and everything works except sending MMS I keep getting out of memory errors. I made sure that the pic is under 300k but as soon as I hit Send I get the message. I'm with cingular/at&t. I have searched regarding this but I noticed that for some people it works fine and other not so its hit or miss. But I wanted to know if anyone else has tried to use this on there kaiser.
Thanks
i tried it and no, you cant send any MMS's (I tried some of the other varients found elsewhere on this forum but none work better). In fact I found that this app had knock on problems all over my TYTN II and slowed down the machine considerably. Since this isnt an app you can just remove I had to do a hard reset.
Thanks for the reply hopefully someone figures out a fix for the slowness and mms not working on the tytn II
No one else has tried Palm threading app on there Keiser yet? and has mms working with AT&T??
I too tried it on my Kaiser and could not get the mms to work no matter what size file I tried, it would give me the memory error. I was able to uninstall it through the add/remove programs though and not have to do a hard reset.

I am experiencing the same. Luckily I don't use MMS very much so if I absolutely need it I can Uninstall Threaded SMS and fetch the incoming MMS then re-install threaded sms. I had same issue with Cingular 8525..Too bad, this is the best threaded sms app out there to me. I can't understand why they haven't built a threaded sms app that comes pre-installed. So basic. Everyone uses SMS. What are they thinking?
any updates on this one yet? I miss my threaded SMS/MMS
**** it doesnt work for me either
****ing BS...please shogun mark, HELP!!!
i wanna stress how important this app is to me.....i was sooo ****ing excited to go from 8525 to kaiser. this actually almost makes me wanna go back.... even though the kaiser is soooooo much sweeter. im beggiing someone to please please work on a fix for this!! please

Which version of Palm threading app are you using?? I have tried to setup the correct settings for the ATT mms part and still as soon as I try to send a mms i get the "out of memory error"
if anyone gets it to work they are brilliant...i have the shogunmark version from windows mobile 6
ttttttttttttt
It is a known bug in the app. Just be thankful we have what we have. To better understand, go here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=621
Works for me. The Shogun version thats circulated around doesnt work. You need the full version. Do a search and you might find it. THe problems are the same on most WM6 devices, and not just the Kaiser.
P.S. Some f-in patience might make people actually want to help you. 6 posts, half dropping F bombs doesn't endear you to the community.
Temporary Fix
Well this is what I do to have palm threading and MMS working on my Tilt witch is something I have asked before but haven't gotten an answer but this is my crazy hack or whatever you want to call it.
My theory was well since the MMS portion for Palm threading is out of the question regarding a fix from what I have been reading about. I asked before If after you install palm threading is there away to enable again the default MMS application that came with the phone like that giving you the option to use palm threading for Txt's and sending MMS' to be sent by the default application witch i like better.
I have the files but I dont know where to upload them too but if someone can post them up I will send it to them.
Basically I managed to get me the cab installation of Arcsoft MMS composer ver 4.0.21.28 .. I noticed that tilt has a new version 4.0.3.?? anyways so basically this is what I did..
1) install Palm threading application - reboot device
2) Install Arcsoft MMS application - reboot Device
3) Install EnableMMS.cab - Reboot
4) Re-apply ATT MMS cab configuration so that MMS gets configured
Now when I press on the email key I get the option to compose a MMS and I can receive them fine..
Like i said this is something I just tried for the heck of it and it worked but I dont guaranteed it will work for everyone. I have tried this on the Tytn II and now I just received my Tilt and it works good.
If there was a way to just re-enable the MMS portion I think there wouldnt need to install the slightly older version of arcsoft composer viewer but I havent able to figure it out..
PS. I tried uploading the zip files but it keeps telling upload of file failed..
Can you e-mail me those files, please.
Hi, is someone able to upload these files somewhere?......thanks in advance
ok here they are.. Let me know if they work for you
http://rapidshare.com/files/61245824/MMSsetup.zip
Thanks doug0365, i will have to do a full backup first on my kaiser before i install the files......its missing the threadersms.cab though....but thats ok i found the file in the kaiser forum.......will report back later today of the outcome.....thanks again.
From another thread. This is the biggest problem with the phone.
1- I installed the WM6 threaded text (i have to have that) so now sometimes when i get texts, it vibrates and makes the sound i chose. even though vibrate is off in the notifications. EVEN if the phone is set to silent i still get a vibrate on the incoming text.
here is what else we found
"From all the searching i have done on various boards with this threaded SMS app it appears this is a well known bug. If you reset the audio profile it does not buzz until you slide the keyboard out at least once during a session, then it vibrates from then on. If anyone comes across a bug fix or a "most recent" version that does not suffer this for Kaiser TYTN II than I would be pleased to know." dakotadave
Please help. I am waiting on Cody from one of the other forums, who actually created the SMS threaded app.
this seems to be only a wm6 thing since the same app didn't do it on wm5 devices. it seems to happen on all wm6 devices so far.
what I have don't that I think has stoped it is I have my "sliding sound" disabled. I don't know if this is a forsure fix or not, but I don't remember getting the vibe for a long time now.
give it a try. maybe it is the fix. maybe it will just stop some of them.
I don't know.

I do have the sliding sound disabled. I also have the unit on silent and still get it.
I did this
http://discussion.wmexperts.com/showthread.php?t=139379
to get threaded sms
but i did NOT go past #11. There was no file on the phone named palm messaging.
But i did delete "poutlook"
that thread is NOT FOR WM6 DEVICES. that was for pre aku 2.3 devices like the treo 700 w/wx. I posted a new thread on that same site saying that. the WM6 devices have a one step cab install. there is no need to remove poutlook from the startup folder cause it is not there.
my diamond seems to have this problem.in delivery reports is shown only the number of the recipient and not the contact name.any help?
Use this attached cab. It will put a new icon in your programs menu.
Last tested in WM6.0 but I suppose it'll work as well in 6.1. This will add the name with the number (you can actually adjust what you wish to see).
Cheers!

the problem is fixed.the delivery report shows the name of the contact the message was sent.but now come 2 delivery reports.one from the touch flow 3d menu and one from the upper screen [an icon like wm 5]
I have installed the .cab file on my SE X1 running WM 6.1 pro and it crashes.
Is there a fix for this?

O2 Germany has just released their Win 6.5 ROM for the htc Touch Pro2.
http://www.o2online.de/nw/support/downloads/software/xda/htctouchpro2/htc-touch-pro2.html
No password or serial number required to download this.
This ROM is later than the T-Mobile German ROM
ROM: 1.89.207.2 (69719)
Radio: 4.49.25.17
Protocol: 61.44tc.25.32H
OS Build: 5.2.21854
Status Report Problem
Like the O2 6.1 ROM, the SMS status report does not appear to work on this official new Win 6.5 ROM from O2.
The same test on other O2 phones (in my case the O2 XDA Orbit) work perfectly with an SMS status report sent back every time. For tests show that the phone does correctly request the status report, it is just unable to display it in any way.
If you are using this ROM, please make the following test and report back here. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, it would be great too.
As this phone uses a German language ROM, the instructions will be given with what is displayed in German.
Start / SMS / Menü / MMS-Optionen...
Set the following:
x Gesendete Mitteilung speichern
x Zustellungsbericht zulassen
x Lesebericht zulassen
OK
Menü / Extras / Optionen...
Select: "SMS / MMS"
x Übermittlung von Nachrichten bestätigen
OK / OK
Menü / Neu / SMS
Now write an SMS to another mobile (or even to yourself)
and send it.
As soon as the SMS has been sent, you will see a message "Nachrichten gesendet" which confirms the SMS has been sent (not that it has arrived).
Check that the SMS has arrived on the phone you sent the message to.
You should now receive a status report per SMS to confirm your SMS has been received. Unfortunately, this does not work on this ROM, at least not on my htc Touch Pro2 phone from O2 Germany.
Please test this and report back here if your receive an SMS status report or not. If not, please call the O2 Hotline (Kundenbetreuung), ask to be connected to the "Datenservice"and report the problem.
I have already reported this to O2 and they tell me they are testing this.
I will report back here when I get a reply.
Has anyone here got an idea how to fix this (missing registry entry perhaps).
Regards
Peter
Moin,
Does the O2 rom have other bugs?
help performance problems
Hi There,
got a kind of "same" thing with SMS confirmation.
In my experience it only gives an SMS confirmation report, when i send the sms from the windows platform (sms send) and not out of the touchflo 3d interface. If only sent via touchflo, theres only the info "msg sent".
Other bug i'm getting, ist the all time very high ram usage. In the task manager its very soon up to more than 80% usage, and it doesnt get down by itself... (no matter if you close all programms or not) This causes Problems while listening to music and surfing at the same time and other performance problems...
any idea how to fix this?? I've already heard from other german pages that this is a common problem...
Thanks for any help.
bye
I am removing my roms due to conflicts with certain members at xda, this looks like it cant be solved in normal ways. And because I do not want anymore of the bickering and fighting, I am pulling my work from XDA and all support is moved to you know where. I cant even mention that name anymore here.
Sorry to see this happen here, where I have learned so much, and met so many wonderful ppl.
The Dialer support Landscape? Has the Caller ID ?
I flashed a previous version of this ROM yesterday and I have the same problem - the Caller ID is not showing any info/contact picture for any incoming calls. I didn't manage how to fix that. Anyone going to try this latest Itje's release - please tell us if the Caller ID works properly this time. Thanks.
I can see the caller ID + picture in this new build (23518)
sorry to report that I forgot to check in the correct package for audio (was testing alternate packages) I unchecked the test ones, but forgot to check back the working one sadly that a cab wont fix this, it needs to be cooked in

Hi!
This is a great rom, fast and stable, and so far I have not found error.
The dialer does not work invested mode. We do not have a solution?
Sorry about the bad translation, I'm Hungarian, and Google has helped my friend.
Is their an SMS issue like in the previous ones?
Is the rom up now? Can we download it?
sms issue
What was the sms issue in the previous version I didn't experience any. My only issue is the scrolling on the HTC menu, it lags and i have problems scrolling left to right - only minor.
Any comments on changes with new OS build/Office? I'm assuming Onenote is in the new 2010 build and now supports sync with PC. Footprints is another app that doesn't work well in landscape possible solution?
I'll test the new rom and edit these comments if i find them fixed .

Thanks for the info. In the previous version people had to edit registery or something like that because the sms wasn't sending properly. Also their was a issue where if you got an incoming sms the device wouldent wake up another Registry edit fix. Keep us posted with more bugs, I want to put Sense in my phone so bad it's just that the previous version had to many issuse for me to flash so I'm hoping this one is the charm.
Results
Here is my run down on the new Rom 23518:
+finger scrolling HTC menu works better than previous build - need to wait for current page to load.
+sms working correctly
+Onenote is sync to its own notebook. I would like to change the sync notebook not sure this is possible.
-landscape issue footprints (disable landscape?)
-can't access task-x from clicking top right (common in other roms)
-old panel manager, can't seem to install x2 cab
Has anyone tried using this rom with display acceleration hack? Also does anyone know of a program to cleanup my contacts i have 4 duplicates of everyone?!

Office Mobile does not come with OneNote:
If you have OneNote on your PC, it will offer to install the mobile version on your mobile once you connect it to the PC.
I've tried the previous version and now this one.
I already liked the previous one, but this one is even better.
More stable and faster.
Very very nice ROM, Thanks!

Use SK-tools or Pocket-Pc-Mechanic to remove duplicate.
Use SK-tools to completely empty your PIM, including contacts before you sync with desktop. If you restore contacts from other source then sync, it will duplicate (bug with sync program).
I hope this help
how to do a hard reset after all flashing finish?
