trying to fix WM6 sound glitch

i see on wiki where it says to do the registry hack, but how do i do that? what is envolved in doing a registry haack? how do i get started? i have not been able to find any posts/threads on how to actually do one. thanks

You need a registry editor.
Look for PHM RegEdit. It's a free editor. Works a treat as well.

thanks i got the program, but i cant find "hklm/drivers/sdcard/clientdrivers/class/sdmemory_class". i tried doing the search from "my device". nothing comes up. anyone know how i can fix this sound glitch as described in WIKI? thanks

ok, i found it and seems to have done the trick. are there any more registry "tweaks" that i should be aware of that will help improve my BA?

RESOLVED : Missing Today Items, etc

Please help. i've searched and searched but nothing...
I've managed to delete some items/options from my today screen. I'm using the o2 interface.
I'm missing the running programs icon from the bottom right of the screen. Plus i used to have memory and volume settings (used to be able to select normal, loud etc etc) I've noticed the whole menu is missing from the Today in Settings.
Does anyone know how i can get this all back? Somethings been deleted when i was installing regedit, but i dont know what it was.

I dont think anybody can help ... unless experts know how to add registry entry for these 2 item with the .cab files better still ..
I only can think .. there is a program ..can extract whole wm registry out to one file then can compare others file ..and spot out the diff.

Just had a thought. if I back up my files and contacts. Then reset the phone back to factory it might reinstate whatevers missing.

Yep, that worked... factory settings and automatic o2 program reinstalled everything back as it should be

Daylight Saving Regisrty Setting

I think that when I set up my phone, I accidently said that I didn't want Automatic Daylight Saving Change to operate. But I do!
Unfortunately, having searched, I cannot find the place to set it
- maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place.
Assuming it has gone because of my 'mis-set', I want to change the setting but cannot find a registry setting that will allow me to reset this.
Can you help, either way?

try one of the config-tools available... for me I found it in sktools

Thanks for the response. I have now got SKTools (although I already had a reg editor).
Problem is that I don't know and can't find which reg setting (I am guessing you meant to use that) is needed. If it isn't a reg setting and something else through SK Tools then I need to know what.

Need Help with a Virtual button!!!

Well i disabled the touchflo3d interface(dont ask me why...i just felt like doing it but i dont know why... just felt it...) so i did it....and now i have one major problem and that is i have 2 virtual buttons on my diamond they are calendar and contacts....i would like to replace the virtual button calendar with phone.....is it possible....???...i know that one hardware button is assigned to phone ..but i really want to assign screen rotate feature to that button!!!!

thanq chef...but i have one more question... how can i change the colour of the text on the home screen.....????i googled it and couldnt find anthing except negative answers....well i would be prefering a registry hack instead of a program...lets keep the Diamond clean shall we!!

Sry, don't know how it's done. it hast already been discussed here on Xda, but they found no real solution ( except UI Tweak, which didn't work really).

It can be done (probably^^) with Advanced Configuration Tool v3.3, which would be the solution using a tool.
But you say you prefer registry, so i've found this.

well i looked at the registry thing and it didnt work out.....can anyone tell me how to use advanced config to change font colour....cuz i cant seem to find it...by the way chef thanks for the effort..

Was wondering if anyone knew where the settings for the camera was? I tried the registry and looking for a settings file couldn't find it. Thanks

cant you just open up camera and then clikc on the little gear icon? thats the settings, idk if thats wat ure talking about

2 reg areas..
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Camera]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Camera]
i just did a flash and used sashimi and my setting were right back to where they needed to be.
so i know these are correct.

I saw those areas, are the settings here controlling things like white balance and the sort? I guess I'll give it a try and back up restore these settings. Thanks

on my phone i have stuff like image prefix, save to main memory, stuff like that and it was preserved.
