after installing and deinstalling wisbar advanced 3 the htc task manager symbol in my taksbar is gone and i dont know how to fix this problem. can someone help me? i am using aztor ultimate as rom.
If you go to Start, Settings and then System tab, you should have the program Task Manager there. Go to the Button tab and put a tick in the "Enable Quick Menu on Today screen" box....

Hey, I am using wm6.1. Does anybody know how to get the task manager pull down menu, that was available in the wm6 rom on the today screen in the upper right hand corner, back?

Hello all,
I prefer to use Spb Plus "close" button as opposed to HTC X-close. Unfortunetly the two icons overwrite each other, even though Spb "add on" is the utility that is actually working.
Question is how do I remove/deactivate HTC X-close?
I am using Duttys latest 6.1 ROM (thanks Dutty, again!!) on a Kaiser.....

flashing rom and radio wasn't a big deal, only take my advice newb and hard spl and jocky's security unlock first, then you're pretty much safe trying whatever. I would first try dutty's latest rom with its own radio. It's da bomb.
I've searched through the forum but can find nothing about this problem.
For some reason the quick menu no longer drops down.
When in a program or menu such as programs (WM) the icon top right has the X or ok on top of the quick menu icon, both showing as in screenshots.
I have triend enabling and disabling quick menu in Settings -> System -> Task Manager -> Button.
you need to pick one x button or the other
if your gonna use windows go into quickmenu options and disable the x button and all related options
if your gonna use quickmenu x than go and disable windows task manager via control panel
I want to use quick menu, so I have both Enable the "X" button end running programs and Enable Quick menu on today screen, which i'm sure was default (i have htc rom 1.37.405.1 wwe). then when pressing button, list would drop down with x, spanner, and mem icons and list of running programs. this no longer happens.

Installing some other applications can interfere with HTC task manager and give exactly the symptoms you describe. For me it was installing Spb Mobile Shell. Sometimes after a soft reset it would work for a while and then stop working. Sometimes it wouldn't work at all. Could this be your problem?
Could be I suppose although it was working fine for at least 3 days after installing and using spb. Could it be from using task manager through spb and if so is there a way of changing it?
anyway i might get rid of spb mobile shell as i don't think it's that good and see if that solves it.
SOLVED: or at least back to normal after removing spb mobile shell disable buttons in task manager disable touchflo soft reset and enable all again.
update: i've installed spb again to see what happens, so far quick menu is still working so I'm guessing problem occurs when task manager is used through spb.

The Original Task Manager can be deactivated from Settings/ System/Task Manager

I'd like to know how what to do to active the 3G button in Com manager?
Indeed, I've made this button appears in my HTC HD, thank to Advance config tools (based for Diamond at the beginning) :
Advanced cong tools -> menue -> more parameters -> com manager and then choose 3G instead of Flight mode.
But in Com manager, I can't disable the 3G button, because when I click on it, it changes of colour (because I clicked) but nothing else...
Is something to do in the registry? I've got reg edit task manager to do something into it.
Can someone help?

My phone just came back from Telecare (they repaired my phone), and now I am missing the little tab/icon in the upper right corner to show running apps. Telecare swithced the motherboard AFAIK, and now I have Sense 2.5.2 running on WinMo 6.5. But there is no icon in the corner, so I can't access running programs!
What can I do?
Use file explorer and set it to show files in the rom. Then click on Windows & then task manager (or TskMgr.exe). Then go to the "Button" tab and tick the "Enable Quick Menu on Today screen" option.

This soluce d'nt work on WM 6.5 : no TskMgr.exe on WM 6.5 (it's for WM 6.1)

Just install QuickMenu for the built in Task manager.
