I might be coming back to WM world from iPhone in next few days but have a few questions on Diamond2. What is the maximum MicroSD card it can hold. Also, anyone know if it comes with any sat nav software such as CoPilot or anything?
Cheers
Robert
Hello,
I don´t know what the maximum is. But here is a link to the faq´s at the HTC Homepage. I have a 16GB card in the diamond2 and it works very well.
I think if HTC say that every microsdhc card works, a 32GB card also works. It only must be a microsdhc 2.0
see on the link http://www.htc.com/europe/faq_detail.aspx?p_id=249&act=faq&cat=0
cant find any 32gb cards anyway lol. Been looking for 16gb and prices are pretty good compared to what I expected.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi
Does anyone know if 4GB SD Cards work in the Alpine? Especially, the Transcend 4GB 150X Cards?
BTW, I have had the 1.04 ROM for quite some time now, and I have noticed some problems compared to the previous ROM. The device sometimes locks up when going in to flight-mode and then switching the phone back on. Also, sometimes the wireless does not switch on. Anybody else had any issues?
Thanks
dont know about 4GB..... im using 1GB from Kingston...working fine....
dont have any problem but not very happy about bluetooth...
thanks
Yes, it is compatible.
Using Trahscend 4G 150x for 2 months already - no problem (except too few USB card readers understands >2G cards)
Great! Thanks....just what I needed
I found it for £150 so good price too! w00t

Where did you find it at this price? The mutt chewed mine up and I need a new one.
Cheers, Pug.
Unlucky about the dog lol. My goldfish may be boring, but it doesn't destroy my £150 SD Cards!!!
I just checked now, and it seems the price has gone up to £160.
If you are still interested, here is the link:

I recommend you order by phone. I bought about 100 256mb Transcend SD Cards off them before, and they were reliable. Dirt cheap for all kinds of memory too! Free shipping as well!

Guys,
What is the best 6gb card for the Vario III?
I'm thinking of sterking clear of sandisk after the reports about it being a dodgy fit in the unit itself...
So come on - sh and tell I am still waiting to lay my mney down!!
lr
I doubt you will find many people who have tried all of the above, so they cant give a good vote based on experience.
That said, I have the SanDisk one and it works great. Doesn't get stuck.
I have the Sandisk. Works fine. NOthing wrong with it at all...
i thought there were fitting issues with it???
i do not have it till now, but i prefer sandisk than the kingstone.
I also have the Sandisk and it's been OK so far.
sandisk
sandisk has no fit issues on the tilt variety
thx guys - so wheres best plce to get one? for uk...
dont you think there is something wrong with the poll, sandisk are the only company to make 6gb micro sdhc, i dont other companies will follow, it's not a very common size in memory storage, talking of which, adata has just release th fastest micro sdhc on the market with the first 4gb class 6, claiming a read speed of 20mb/s and write speed of at least 6mb/s.
I also got the 6gb, got it dead on arrival, the card was corrupted, nothing i did will get it back to normal, just waiting for sandisk uk to send a replacement.
kms
yeah prolly is wrong but i didn know any better!
I have a sandisk 6gb and it works flawlessly in my ATT Tilt

I bought mine from amazon.co.uk for 33.78 GBP. Expansys has them for 41 quid.. I didnt look anywhere else.
i did the same as you now!! yay!
thx
I bought a Sandisk 4GB, and unfortunately - after a couple of days light use that seemed okay - it died completely when I tried to fill up with music. Windows Media Player got to about 11% on the sync, and then just sat there. When I eventually cancelled it all, I found the kaiser wasn't seeing a card there at all anymore - and when I tried it in the USB flash drive the PC just hung trying to read it. It seems completely dead.
I don't suppose anyone has any tips on reviving one of these?
On a side note, I did find it wasn't a great fit - it felt quite rough getting it in and out, as if it was rubbing a little more than it should have been - but this was the 4GB version, not the 6GB.
Anyone know the maximum card size the kaiser/vario3 supports?
I am thinking about getting a 6Gb microSDHC
Got a 6Gb in since Saturday. Works a treat.
32gb max even though it is not available yet.
Essentially, ANY SDHC card available as of today will work in the Kaiser.
Sweet, god this fone roxs, so pleased i didnt get the limited iphone!
I asked HTC about this when I first bought my Kaiser. They told me it would support up to a 4GB micro SDHC. There have been other posts with people who have successfully installed a 6GB card but have found problems when trying to access files and the phone has locked up, so beware.
8G
I have a Sandisk 8Gig in mine... works perfectly.

I think most of that has to do with crappy quality SD cards.
I've never had a problem with any Sandisk card I've had. 1,2, and 4 GB
The reason for HTCs ascertion is simple. At the time of production of the Kaiser the largest SDHC microSD card available was a 4GB card. Therefore, they could only certify that it worked with 4GB cards at that time. And, as far as persons having issues with their phones locking up while trying to read from a 6GB card, I would venture that no matter which card that person(s) was using they would have experinced a similar fate due to whatever it was they were doing at the time.
That said, I have no reason to believe that SDHC cards up to 32 GB will not be fully supported by the WM6 OSes currently being distributed. Furthermore, I anticipate that future revisions of said OSes will equally compatible.
Hi guys,
Sorry to re-hash this thread, just wondering...
I'm about to buy a TyTN II off a friend in work, and wondering if someone could advise me the best card to buy?
I'm a massive music buff, and love my current hermes, however 8GB isn't enough these days, and itching to have more music to beat the iMoan.
So far, some digging has found me this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155755
Would that be suitable for the TyTN II?
Thank you,
I currently have a 8GB Class-4 sandisk card in my Kaiser and it has worked perfectly since I installed it last year. I have some TomTom maps and a load of music and its about 2/3's full. I have been looking for a 16GB but have held off so far. 7Dayshop.com have some 16GB MicroSD cards starting at £32.99 delivered, but these are only Class-2.

According to the information I have, the 8925/Kaiser/Tilt, etc, will support at 32gig microSD card.
From what I've read, the Tilt/Kaiser will support up to a 32 gb, although 16 gb is the largest out.
However, I also read that it will only read at Class 2 speeds. Anyone know if that's actually true? If going to class 6 will give me more speed, I'd definitely go for that when I upgrade my card, but if not, there's no reason to pay more for it.
Anyone know when the 32 gb cards are supposed to come out?
Always buy a Name Brand Card and From a Reputable Dealer and you won't have any problems.
There are a lot of nefarious people out there that trick 2GB cards to act like 8GB cards and by the time you find out, because of locking up and data corruption they are gone with your cash. Don't cheap out when it comes to your data.
The company I'm working for gave me an HTC Kaiser as work phone. I had a 2gb microSD card as spare, so Im using it for now. What I'm wondering is the phone's read/write speed.
I am considering to buy a 16gb class 6 microSDHC card, would that be an overkill? (not the size of course, Im going to put a lot music etc, but would class 2 or 4 be enough for it? Also, I liked this phone, but just loved HD2(some use LEO, too. I wonder why HTC uses just too many aliases, anyways). I may buy it, so even a class6 card would be overkill for tytnII, would it be an overkill for hd2, too?
Thanks in advance,

A class 6 is overkill for the Kaiser, but bigger/faster is always better. It is not overkill for the Leo.
Rule of thumb is always buy the biggest/fastest you can afford because you never know what you will be doing with it.
However, remember, if you try to drain a bathtub through a 5 cm hole or you try and drain a lake through a 5 cm hole, the same amount of water will still come out the other side.
Looking to get a bigger microSd card for my vogue but I'm unsure of how big I can go. Is 16GB compatible? If so what class 4 or 6 and could you please recommend brands? Thanks!
No replies!
Do any of you have 16GB microSD cards working in your Vogue?
Nope... I believe 8GB is max for the Vogue's
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Touch
Check that
Weird! I'm being told that 16GB & 32GB micro SDHC will work...
Well, the published max is probably from the winmo specs, for WinMo 6.1, who knows under 6.5 or android.
In regards to the other part of your question, the higher the class, the better (in theory.)
it works
I have a 16Gb in my vogue and it works gr8.
I am using a 16GB as well from an original Droid and it works awesome. Not sure if it's SDHC or not though.
This is a really good deal: http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Class-microSDHC-Memory-TS8GUSDHC6/dp/B001IAMME8
and you should always try to get the highest class because it gives you better performance (transfer speeds)
My OKTA Touch (HTC Vogue - Touch) can only take a maximum of 2GB MicroSD for some strange reason. Anything higher for us and the Vogue won't detect it :'(
