this is the rom that you are trying to get rid of. CHT mean CHinese Traditional rom

Ok, I understand now. I thought I had to get a rom that corresponds to my phone model/version (Dopod CHT9100). I'm trying to get rid of this Chinese language and get a English one on since I can't understand a word of Chinese. So I can use any model rom (HTC p3600, dopod d810) on my CHT9100 without bricking it? Thats the only thing I'm worried about. Please let me know which English rom you would recommend I flash the device(Dopod CHT9100) with to get rid of the Chinese without any bricking. Thanks.

go to the page and look for the HTC WWE wm5 or wm6 with GPS if require.But first you need to cid unlock, otherwise the upgrade will not work. You can find everything you need in this post. I prefer the WM5 with GPS. good luck

MUI for Blackstone ROM

And I would like to know which ROM for Blackstone realy worth to be localized and which language.

I can help with translation to swedish if needed. I agree that Duttys ROM it the best to work with here. Stable and fast

ALOCALA contains only language CAB to be installed No ROMs.
Please, use New Request to request which ROM you'd like to be translated. For that you need to be registered user which is free.

i searched here in the forum but most of the threads i found for my problem didnt really answer my questions or they where not specific enough.
I got a X1 (bought it in Germany), i want to change the OS language to chinese. I want to give this phone to a chinese friend of mine.
Most important would be:
1. Change the GUI in Chinese
2. Chinese input methods (reading/writing)
3. Stable and fast would be nice^^
Actually i want to change the whole phone like its a x1 bought in China
What i understood is that the Hong Kong x1's comes with integrated CE-Star and a chinese GUI.That sounds as the easiest approach to my goal.
Anyway, what would be the simplest way to get this done?
As i am pretty new to all this..please dont bomb me with too much technical stuff. A brief description or a FAQ or something else would be greatly appreciated.

Look in the ROM section and flash a Chinese (CHT?) rom, like Jack's?
I think (looking at the way you ask the question), you haven't flashed a rom before. I recommend to read the sticky's in the rom section first, so you know what to do. In short:
1. HardSPL (if you don't know what that is, read this)
2. Flash ROM via windows (X1_customRUU), or SD card method

I wil check it out. I shlould be able to do that.
I mean i checked some other threads, but i had no idea where to start.^^

If you flash English rom, you can also install some plug-in then your English rom can display Chinese word and typing Chinese by using Zhuyin and Changjie

If you want stock rom, check the rom section for CHS (simplified Chinese) or CHT (Traditional Chinese).
For custom CHT rom, I heard hylu's is quite good. For custom CHS rom, you may want to take a look at it168.
Mine is just English w/ CE start built in.

so i managed to Hard-Spl my phone. I am having a tough time now...i dont know which rom i should use.
Preferably a CHS rom. So i am thinking i should either hylu´s or jackleung´s.
What do you guys think? I am really not sure what features are good or not. There are some where i dont even understand what this features might bring ^^
Anyway, the phone has not to be super highly customizable. Anyway, all i want in the end is a phone running in all chinese (simplified) and some nice features and some customization...
I hope you can help me make my choice. Thx in advance

I just bought mine, and it was shipped with a ROM that asked for the language during the initial setup process, and Hungarian was one of them. I don't know where this ROM is available, but its version is "1.19.401.0 (51489) WWE".
Btw. I downloaded the latest ROM update from HTC. The filename sounds promising (RUU_Rhodium_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.19.401.1_Radio_Rhodium_3.44.25.27_Signed_Ship.exe), drop me a PM in case you need it...

ANSWERS:
So HTC Europe is for the WWE version and includes English as the default language?
- So it looks. Installed, language is English. Act likes the WWE.
And all national versions (ITA, NOR, FRA, etc) are localized in respective languages?
- Haven't tried, but based on above WWE/Euro experience, I assume this.
Also, do I need a HardSPL to flash, or this is really *official* as in no hacks required?
- Just run the exe, follow instructions. BACKUP first. It will zap all data - sans memory card contents.
