Please search iCosta in Market.
It requires 1.5 cupcake.
Only Wb86 Input Method is implemented by now.
6、alt-space

Hey,
After reading the threads, I presume I'm not the only unlucky one to have a phone without Android Market, combined with the "dreaded" 1.33.0010 SPL, therefore unable to root.
So what's the best way to get new apps for my brand new HTC Sapphire? SlideMe and Leaf Open Market just don't cut it for me.
Alternatively, can I download the Android Market apps via the web?
Ciao,
CUGWMUI
PS: Someone, please root this phone!
you mean like these?
http://www.androidtapp.com
http://www.android.com/market
but i presume you're aware of a google search phenomena so i guess that is not what you were looking for
Not sure if slideme is locked to the mobile emai number or anything else but you can try to open your browser on the mobile and go to http://m.slideme.org/SAM/ and install there application store manager.
Thanks...
I guess the best thing is to acquire as much from as many sources as possible...
Can't wait for my Magic to get rooted..
Ciao,
CUG
Found a methode where i can get applications/games from the market into my non-google magic.
look at my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529170
You might want to have a look at this website...it lists all alternatives for appstores per platform: http://www.wipwiki.com/appstores
Bazaar and Aptoide as alternative to Android Market
Hi guys!
Try bazaar.aptoide.org as alternative to Android Market,
As developer let me share with you the following features:
- Bazaar's site allows you to create your own market;
- Under the motto "Own your market!" you can now have your own Aptoide repository with your applications.
- Upload and manage your applications and share them with the world or just your friends.
- Easily browse the available Android Apps and choose which to install from your Android device.
- Discovering more in bazaar.aptoide.org
The Aptoide app allows users to easily install applications from distributed repositories, without having to rely on the Google Market.
The Aptoide enables you the following extra features:
- Add repositories via QR-code.
- Support for private repositories with login credentials (through the standard httpaccess file).
- Faster reloading of the list of applications from the repository
- Many other features and bug fixes.
Best regards,
Fábio

If you guys want to get banned then post that crap again!
I have ZERO tolerance for even hinting warez distribution!
In fact... I've had it! Consider this thread closed.
Since that question (see below) I have done some research on multiple custom ROMs and this is the result:
ROMs without Letter/Block Recogniser:
Dutty's Holy Grail 7.2 (english)
Energy.TOPAZ.23529.Leo_MaxManila_07.Feb.2010
ROMs that have the Letter/Block Recogniser enabled:
Tess Leo IV
Fix for Dutty and Energy (and possibly others):
The only working fix I have found to get the handwriting enabled in these ROMs is as follows:
1. Download the official HTC Handwriting Update (it doesnt matter from which site, they are all the same file) and transfer to your device.
2. Change the registry key HKLM/Software/OEM/MASD/IME-EZInput_Western from "2_1_19222911_00" (may possibly be different value depending on ROM) to "2_1_00000000_00"
(Credit goes to hotfootpowder)
Important: There are a number of registry tweaks and files floating around to "fix" the handwriting. Most of these tweaks will interfere with the Update. If you have changed registry keys to make the transcriber work you should try to reverse these.
3. Run the HTC handwriting update.
For me this worked flawlessly in these 2 ROMs
Hope this helps somebody

Hi there,
one question: Is there any decent cooked ROM that either supports the official HTC handwriting update for the Topaz or even has it already integrated?
Thank you very much
t.
Many stylus-based devices include Transcriber or Letter (Block) Recognizer. AFAIK, most chefs include them in their custom ROM's ... not sure about custom ROM's for this device.
HTH,
Unfortunately HTC decided to disabled the transcriber in in the TD2 in the original Stock ROMs (disabled to the point where it's just not there, not only turned off). It seems that a large number of user requested the feature to be brought back though, so HTC provided a update .exe on their website. This official handwriting update in turn is sadly uninstallable on SEA and custom ROMS. There are a number of tweaks out there to actually get it to run but so far I have not found one that actually works.
updated original post with solution for 3 custom ROMs
Hi there,
Works fine for me too, with the latest official Dutch ROM update from HTC. Manilla version: 2.5.20113030.0
Thanks a lot,

http://beta.swype.com/
Sign up now! (need to use your Android google email...)
Unfortunately, for 320x240, you get "Swype is unavailable in this screen size", but you may be able to boot up in 480x320, install, and then change back...
Details:
1. The Swype Beta Details
The beta starts on March 5th 2010 and is capped at a limited number of registrants.
This beta version will expire after 3 months as we will provide periodic updated versions that will include new features and functionality.
The beta software supports phones with HVGA (480h x 320w), WVGA (800h x 480w) and WVGA854(854h x 480w) screen sizes.
The beta software has built-in dictionaries for English and Spanish. We plan on releasing other languages at a later time, but the download file would be too large to include more languges right now.
For security reasons you can only download the beta software a limited number of times.
This is a BETA and is not a fully functional version of Swype. Specifically, it only has English and Spanish and we have an editing method which is not supported in a downloadable version. Also, we have found that to truly integrate a soft keyboard on a phone, it needs to be pre-loaded. Thus, you may experience some aberrant behavior. Again, this is a BETA.
The beta is open to all phones using Android which DO NOT already have Swype pre-installed by the phone manufacturer / carrier.
If you have Swype pre-installed on your phone DO NOT attempt to install this beta of Swype!

Hi all,
As the android OS is built up on Java I assumed I could use java websites -- i no know this is not true as google have there own version.
I currently have root access on my standard rom .. is there a way I can add Java support to my nexus one 2.2.1?
You can download PCMD RC 2.5 from developer thread. Custom fully unlocked ROM, or WP7 Root Tools unlock is neaded. All testers and coders will invited, simple opensource plugins system (similar to desktop TotalCommander WFX plugins collection) will published in near future. HTC7Pro HW keyboard is just fully supported for very quick filesystem navigation, I am looking for developers to make BlueTooth keyborads support too for all WP7 devices.
link for v2.5 is not working
