USB NOT WORKING

OK i did a search but did not find anything really related..
a friend of mine at work here just handed me his 8125 after "attempting" to flash his ROM. Not sure what the heck he did BUT
1) the usb is not recognized so not active sync.
3) 3 battery meter only shows a plug (lower right ) yet the battery works.
the phone does recognice the charger..
HELP !!!

Camera Button is the only one you need to hold when resetting...

i apologize but i must be missing something..
i reset (soft reset and camera button) get cingular screen
starts to boot up and goes to today screen where it does not recognize usb..
is there something else i am to do ?

Press the reset (or power down your device by holding the power button until you get the Okay to turn-off warning).
HOLD the camera button as your device powers up. This will get the BootLoader

just woke up and read your reply thanks ..
this is what i ended up doing
i bluetoothed from one of the roms enterbootloader.exe was able to run it
than ran one of the earlier rom upgrades..
re running the lockiwizb and will install sumters rom2
one question if you read this .. on both of the phones 8125's i get an error at the end of the bat file when running the lockiwiz.. is this normal ? is it because it was already ran once ? i am running it from the root (C

Hi, got a new tytn11 phone and was trying to follow the flash but messed up lol.
all i get now is a blank screen (black) with green led on.

u can definitely find the answer.

Were you trying to flash a stock ROM or a cooked ROM?? If it was a cooked ROM did you have Hard SPL on your PDA before flashing??
Please post your ROM, Radio ROM number if you can recollect the same.

hi i didn`t get as far as flashing i think. i didnt read the info right had no hard spl installed, it all went wrong whebn i pressed the camera power and done a reset, all i got next was a black screen nothing else.
sorry dont know what version things are only got the phone 2 days ago lol and was playing.

OK.. you never actually connected your phone to the comp and tried flashing a ROM?? did you try a hard reset?? you need to press the two soft keys (the ones above the explorer and messaging buttons) and simultaneously reset the phone using the stylus.
Follow the instructions on screen when you are asked to press the send key.
NOTE: all your contacts and data will be lost when you hard reset, but phone will be back in its factory state.

i formated the sd card with a program the format went ok then a message poped up saying you are still here somethink has gone wrong, then i pressed the camera and power button and done a soft reset now i just have a blank screen with green led on.
Have tried hard reset but nothing happens. the green and red button and the reset ?
Also did not have it connected to pc everything was done via sd card

just tried that with the keys above ie and messages but my key pad lights dont come on it like the phone is turned off accept one green led top of phone.

u need to hold the stylus in the hole a few seconds, if that will not help, I suggest u to read the "kaiser wiki troubleshoot section", there is an answer for sure.

I can not make hard reset :(

Help me please guys I can not make a hard reset or flash a new ROM with the sd card method. (right volume button and power button). also hard reset doesn't work. (press both silver button and power button).
before always its OK but now i only flash with usb method.

What rom and SPL are you using?
You might need to Hard-SPL again.

Are your xperia volume keys working properly because it can be hardware issue....

To hard reset:
When you're holding the silver key buttons press the power button NO MORE THAN A SECOND. Just press it very lightly and it should hard reset your device. Again do not hold the power button when you're holding the silver buttons.

Are you using volume down?
Turn the phone off, hold volume down (and keep holding) then turn the phone on. Make sure it isn't connected to your PC when doing this.
Edit: Does it enter the bootloader correctly when you are using the Rom Update Utility?

Flash back to an earlier rom, HardSPL again and see if you can enter the bootloader and hard reset using the key combinations.

Whats ROM recommend me for this problem Buzz

At Whirlpool (Australian forum) we recommend using this Generic UK R1A Rom to recover from bad flashes.
Check the recovering from a bad flash section of this page.
If things go wrong we recommend getting your phone completely back to stock and trying everything again from scratch. Then step through to see what is causing the error.

Buzz buddy how i can know what is the version of the bootloader if i can not enter to him??
I try many times. press and hold Right volume key and press de power key. and release power after the vibration. I am tired of the SE logo jaja.
early i try again to load the X1_HardSPL.exe with the pc and i see the three colors screen in the xperia. the screen show a 0.52 thats its OK??

the thing is:
if you want to go into the bootloader you need to press and hold the power button and the volume button down untill you get into the 3coloured screen.

all The keys (Volumen, Power, silver keys) Works Fine in Windows Mobile. but i can not make hard reset with the silver keys and button power. or worse i can not enter to the bootloader mode with volume key and power key.
before all its ok but now its like the keys dont work at the start.

to do a hard reset I just keep holding both softkeys and then I press the reset button with the stylus.

Flash another rom using the Rom Update Utility and see if you can get the bootloader to load using the volume down and power buttons. It must be a software problem preventing you from using this key combination.
I can't seem to find how to start the bootloader without the key combination.
It might be worth sending OliNex a PM and asking for advice.

Hi Evryone, i'm new to all this
and i have a problem and i hope some one can help me out,
I have a Htc diamond2 clone from Taiwan the T5358+ with wm 6.1
first it workted fine, the i removed the battery becasuse i needed to acses
the micro sd card, after that it hard reseted it self so i lost al my stuff on it
that already happend 2 times, yesterday my phone just when out on it self and when i start it,
it freezed at the screen where it says "Touch Diamond2"
the buttons and power button dont work, i tryt resetting it couple times,
but the same thing happens, also when i remove and put back the battery.
Can some please help me out? because i cant use my phone now

Try hard resetting it again and see if you can get it back. You may have to try a few times.

Pull out battery, reinsert, press power then hold both volume keys at the same time until tri colored screen appears then follow onscreen instructions.

I don't think you're doing it correctly.
That is your boot screen, so your device is trying to boot.
Try just hitting the soft reset button then IMMEDIATELY, before it starts to boot, hold down both volume buttons

T5358 isnt a diamond 2 phone... you bought a fake phone like diamond 2 ... give it back ...

when i hold down both volume buttons and power up, it says that file does not exist.
I have figured out that it is looking for an image file on the micro sd card.
I think you need to format a sd card load it with the .img file of the operating system and then try a hard reset.
But that's just a guess... where do we get the image file?

The image file would be the .nbh file of the ROM renamed to TOPAIMG.nbh.
Then it would flash a new ROM to your device, but you have to have HSPL installed first or you'll brick your phone.

Guys, you can't wronger.
The WM 6.1-6.5 has the option of Hard Reset from inside the running system. It's located in Settings/system/clean boot. Once you set the keys 1234, it reboots and hard reset (re-installs everything and revert back to factory settings, so you'll have to calibrate the screen, and so on).
BUT BE AWARE: The phone needs certain files stored in the original SD card. If you deleted them, you are f**ed. The folder ExtROM is where the files needed to restore the OS are.
I could upload the folder to somewhere, so you store back on the SD, and try. The fact it keeps asking for files is simply because they are not available.

Having no ROM installed (i.e. via Task29) does not mean the vol key method won't work. It should work - remove battery, replace battery, hold power and vol key together for a few seconds. The only reason it wouldn't is if there was something physically wrong with the key.

yup via task 29, mtty. i think there is a wrong in the volume key coz its not working any more.
is there a way to boot via keyboard or my x1 is dead?

are you sure
all you have to do is hold the vol DOWN and power until screen comes up

had the same issue mate....and now my x1 is bricked!...couldn't do anything to get it back into tri-colour screen and sent it back to repair...tried to use the usb, mitty and nothing....good luck if you find another method....i hate task29 now i wouldn't try that thing again on my new phone...i did everything correctly and it just completely died on me...

Put image file in root now run Task29 and as soon as the tri colour screen comes remove the usb cable and wait for 2 minutes it will search for serial and will automatically boot from SD image..

What do you get when you just turn on your phone? You can always turn on your phone, if you have a ROM flashed it will boot the ROM. If not or not properly flashed then it will take you to the bootloader....

how could your phone auto loading bootloader without a rom and volume down key press?
is your phone made from E.T ? he can do it auto intelligently

don't know if this is related but i thought i'd post it still.
i had an issue with task29 once i tried it.
usually, i flash roms using activesync since i'm kinda lazy putting back and fort the x1 cover, battery and all that.
after flashing task29, my x1 went dead. what i did, i removed the sd card,
plugged it to my pc and put the kovsimg file of the rom i like best,
plugged back in the sd card with the kovsimg file and re-flash via sd card method (using soft keys & volume button).
viola! it worked! but then again, i guess that's the way it's suppose to be done anyways.

Ever did a bad flash???? Try it....flash from your pc and pull the USB cable. If you reset your phone where does it take you? Certainly not to boot the ROM, because the flash went wrong.

guys come om plz i appreciate all your kind help really am desperate and wish i could get my phone back.
yup my phone has no rom so i couldnt flash any rom coz my volume key is died. NO NEW ROM AND NO BOOTLOADER.
i guess that there is no solution other than i should sent it back to the shop to be repaired but if there is a solution i wont regret to try it on my phone.

Hello! I had this problem a minute ago. Try this:
1 -Turn on the phone. The screen will freeze in Sony Ericsson logo.
2 - After this, hold the two silver front buttons and press the softreset button behind the battery cover (to do a Hard Reset).
3 - Follow the instructions to perform the Hard Reset.
4 - When finished, remove the battery. Wait for 3 seconds and put the battery back.
5 - Now try to hold Vol Down key and turn the phone on.
It worked for me. But OMG, this thing scared me...
