I have been extensively reading the threads and cannot seem to find the answer. I apologize for my noviceness. I went to the HTC site and it gave me this ROM to update on my phone. I use the phone in the US:
1. Will this ROM change my US settings?
2. Has anyone up upgraded to this and is the performance better?

surely this rom is better
all your data will be erased.
but when you make the download, you'l have to choose the country and operator and local settings will be fine. The roms are different between different countries

yup i upgraded to that specific rom. The language is still english. Everything on YOUR DEVICE (not internal storage) is gone. The speed of TF3D is much faster as HTC has removed many of the animations. The phone will also get better reception and become quadband thanks to the new radio.

Mmhh i cant download the new ROM, will you share it with us??? I would like to try the radio embedded in this ROM because i have the Eurpean version and i would love to have american 3g working on my device!

nope im from Canada and using Rogers.

I dont have it my self, I need to go download it as well.

Sorry to be annoying...with rom then u did not have to download the operator settings separately for rogers, they were included with the rom?

I do not have a serial number that it accepts. Otherwise I would not ask here.......

Dont forget, you wont be able to flash your Orange HTC Touch 3G with this ROM unless you hardspl the thing.
It does work, cos i've done it to mine. The best thing about this ROM, is that the WIFI works properly.

Do I need to use customruu (which I got from the hardspl page I think) or can I just run the built in installer? I have already hardspl'd my phone.
NB: latest downloadable version for anyone interested is 2.32.405.3.

if hardspl is done, then you should be able to install the ROM from it's own installer.

It should work AFIK, as I was running the HK WWE rom on mine before the Wolves4ever kindly posted the s/n (which he may wish to delete now).
I have the WWE EU rom which I can upload if anyone wants.

Just wondring why you want to change to the latest WWE ROM. The reason I ask is that I recently updated to this ROM and regret it! As far as I can see, it offers no improvments to the original but has caused me problems.
Firstly, it keeps "loosing" my SD card. I used a 16Gb Sandisk in my Jade sucessfully for the 8 months before the update. As soon as I installed the new ROM it couldn't find the card and worse, it corrupted it badly. I had to format it for it to work but now, about 1 month later its not finding the card again. HTC support arn't interested as they say the phone is only able to use up to 4Gb. I'm currently using a 4Gb card to see if this works but I don't see why I have to downgrade! We report back to see if this works.
Secondly, I think the battery life isn't as good as before. I haven't done acurate tests but it now struggles to do 2 days between charges, when before it did about 2.5 days.
I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had these problems. You have been warned!

I have had a few probles: the ROM freezes and crashes. This did not happen with the HK WWE version someone has posted here.
However, it is a vast improvement over the orange branded software.
I have not had the problems you refer to.

Unlucky you! I upgraded to the latest ROM mainly 'cos the Orange ROM stuffs up the Wifi. All seems to be fine and the 2gb SD works fine. As for battery life, cant say its any better or worse. It was pretty poor before anyway.

This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times.
This limit is reached.

Latest official ROM is not 2.33, it's 2.32.401.2 (44800), device dates it to 03/25/09. On the website it's listed as 2009/04/14.

Hi guys
I have an Orange Jade 110 and sufferred the Unique / no wifi problem. Orange support were no help whatsoever.
Using the excellent info on this forum, I installed hard spl and then decided to try the HTC asia 2.33.721.1 rom. unfortunately I have lost where I downloaded it from but I think there is a link on here somewhere.
- I downloaded the file & used the program's installer to flash my Rom - all orange stuff now gone and I have a fully working phone again that uses wi fi as a priority before using the sim data connection ie like my tytn 11 kaiser

Please Help

I'm sorry for doing this, I know maybe I post this in a wrong place, but I've just download and installed a ROM to my TP2 Verizon version, then it just stuck at the Bootloader and cannot boot into the ROM. I dont know why, or these ROM are just for GSM version of TP2 and doesn't support my Verizon's one?

I've tried to find the Original ROM of Verizon for my device but cannot find anything, can anyone help me with this?

The ROMs in this subforum are not for your Verizon phone. You need to flash a CDMA (verizon & sprint) ROM, such as this one, a custom one by NRGZ28.
You may need to use the microSD card method (Step 3 here) if the USB-activsync method doesn't work.

I remember using *228 on a Sprint phone, worked to "reprogram my phone".

Have you posted this problem in the Rhodium CDMA subforum?

It's okie now, thanks guy. All I have to do is just select the Network option to GSM only from Global mode.
But the problem now is just the keyboard with some wrong symbols, I'm finding a fixing cab for it, if anyone got it, please send me to [email protected].

tmobile helped me with 6.5 rom upgrade

i called tmobile asking about whens the knew 6.5 rom ugrade is going to be available...they said the jan/20/10 ...but he says because i have service with them for 10 years he would let me install on the phone...he sent me to a website i think it was tmoble/upgrade/ ...i think that was it ...i go back and look it for you guys...first i put in my IMEI NUMBER (settings then go device then identity)
then hit download ,and save it to your documents,now double click on it and when it opens plug your phone to your usb...now just follow on screen instructions and your done .....it looks amazing...1/20/10 whooooops

ok i flashed telstra nodo rom on my tmous hd7 however

my voice and map search is missing? the microphone icon is no longer in the search bar for bing or my maps, am i missing something? does it have to be enabled? voice dialing still works and its in a lovely british accent

Go to ......Settings\system\speech\ and make sure "Enable speech recognition over the network" is enabled

I had an o2 uk rom "RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09. 21_22.33b.50.10_Signed" which didn't have the search option in voice command. i flashed to "RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09. 21_22.33b.50.10_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE " and now i have it..

Same. I was on O2 UK which didn't have voice search. Flashed to Europe and now I have them, so you probably need to go for a different ROM. I was under the impression that only US branded ROMs would have full voice functions.

I guess I'll flash again now, but now I need to know if I can change the final step of the flashing process to the nodo rom that was mentioned earlier instead of the one Anwar wants us to use for tmous hd7 users lol

yea we are in the same boat noel! I have a tmobile us and followed the steps that anwar laid out for us. but I dont have the microphone feature or the keyboard is in UK which i would like to change to US.. hopefully we can find an alternative
