I thought the same. Mine is from T-mobile NL but is not simlocked. Tested it with another sim and it works like a charm. Maybe the voda ones are locked not sure though.

Guys, maybe here is not the proper place for my question but somehow it has to do with the topic. So is there a way to find out if my X1 is unlocked by the manufacturer ( has never been locked ) or by someone else - "hacked to be unlocked" - like it's done here...And if so, can I check this out ? Am I gonna lose the "patch", "unlocker" (dont know how to call it) after flashing and using different roms from here ? Can I save the settings or check what had been done with the device. Thanks in advance...

actually, it's not necessary, our software lets you verify whether you're unlocked anyway, and the device will never relock itself.
Yesterday I used this tool to remove a SIM-Lock. It did work perfectly!
I also removed the security lock. Is it possible to re-lock it? Would be necessary for warranty issues.

I have a Diamond locked to Orange (no customisation) and have had various discussions about unlocking it (before the 3 months standard period of waiting) Has anyone else tried to do this with any success? I have paid Nextgenserver.com for an 'any htc, any network unlock code but so far have not recieved anything. Sudarshan at HTCCode.com claims he can do it also. I will try him if the UK supplier proves no good to their word (3 days and no code so far)

well i have the orange diamond as well and i have perfect experiences with nick TUPISDIN on this forum.. he helped me twice already ( ORANGE TYTNII AND NOW WITH DIAMOND ) he is fast, perfect, no worries at all, all you have to do, just send him PM and donate this perfect site.I also tried obtaining the code from htccode.com, but from Friday ( 11.7.08 ) i have no response, paid them over the paypal, tried contact them for payback, no response at all... so if you want excellent and fast services, contact TUPISDIN.

they provide me with the code in between 48 hour really. I ordered it on Sun 13/07/2008 09:57 PM and received it Tue 15/07/2008 12:00 AM.
I had mine unlocked by a user on the forum, had it within minutes few, now unlocked to use on o2.

the discussion was very similar to the current one, nothing interesting apart from this confirmation. You may find the same comment on dealextreme website in reviews, there is no rocket science - you put a sandwich of two sims into phone and it works straight away.. just click on the link and read ..

UK I suppose ? I think they would unlock it not for free after a certain period of time 6 or 12 months, but not 100% sure ..

Just want to add: some unlocking sites say they supply unlock code, how come you do not supply a code and instead supply this?
What if the phone is already hardspl'd? What is the difference between 2.32.etc and 1.00JADE?
the Hard-SPL included is no different from the one on the Jade thread.
codes come from databases "acquired" from providers.

you're wrong. I just used olipro's package and it worked just fine.
You must be doing something wrong.
Follow his tip. I had the same "data corrupted" so I downloaded and manually installed hardspl then used olipro's package from button 2 onward.
worked fine.
Be sure to have internet connection and no antivirus/firewall just in case.

I answered you in public, so not only could you see it, so could everyone else, I specifically asked you if you still had the problem because funnily enough, I couldn't find anything from you, so I think a public reply is pretty clear cut.

Naw, changing a rom weather it's ADP or regular build won't effect the sim unlock. There is no generator or anything like there is on the winmo devices. But once it's unlocked it will stay unlocked no matter how many times you flash your phone.
Playing around with my Raphael and several unlocker tools,
the hermes unlocker worked for me....!!!
Now i can use it with every provider i want.... cool
I already flashed my phone with TAEL Rom.... (for your info...)

I wouldn't recommend that anyone go flashing unlockers for different devices-that's a quick way to brick your phone. If this just leads to a code, that's fine, but there are threads at xda where you can get a free unlock code.

So, since there isn't an unlocker, is this impossible?
There is an unlocker. I do have a Sprint version, but I dont think that would matter as far as unlocking goes.
So it is possible? I feel bad coming here and going HEY GUYS IDK WHAT TO DO but thats basically my situation! I just want to get 6.5 on my Diamond because 6.1 is annoying the crap out of me and any improvement would be nice! It's just hard because I can't find any info on doing this on a Verizon version. Do you know where I can find the unlocker, or what to plug into google? Thanks, I appreciate the information.
