Reversed behavior after changing screen protector... - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

This is very odd...
My Diamond display have always been hard to touch in the edges of the display, I always needed to use the stylus and press quite hard for it to register a touch. The middle always needed just a slight touch.
Now I've just changed the screen protector and suddenly it's the middle of the display that requires me to press hard on the screen and the edges just need very little pressure.
Any ideas what happened? Did I damage something, I think this is very weird how a new screen protector (exactly the same brand) can change the display behavior this way...

maybe new screen protector is a little fatter
i have original protector and display have always been hard to touch in the edges of the display

Touch screen alignment problem (h/w not s/w)

I dropped my XDA IIi, I've been luckier than many as the phone is fine, the only thing that isn't fine is that the touch screen and the LCD have become misaligned.
There's no problem with the majority of the screen because I just re-aligned it with the screen aligning software, but theres a 3mm or so are on the left of the screen that will not work due, I assume, to the screen slipping when dropped.
How easy is it to fix?

Problems with Alpine touchscreen

Recently I added a screen protector to my Alpine, and after that the screen started acting funny any time it was left alone. Removing the screen protector has made no difference.
After a short while of not being used, the screen becomes misaligned, for example if I leave it off for an hour, attempting to activate the start menu on the today screen will result in one of the today items being pushed, or attempting to select a number on the password entry will result in a different number being pressed.
The strange thing is I can re-align the screen through the control panel, but it will slowly go back to the way it was.
Anyone got any thoughts? At worst, I'll just refund it (I bought it where I work, and thats no problem) and get another handset, but if theres a fix I'd prefer to stick with my current handset.
Cheers in advance for any help!
I am not sure about this, but I had the same problem with Motorola A1000 touch screen - could it be that an excessive pressure was applied to one of the sides of the digitizer during the application of screen protector? The digitizer is glued on the LCD, there might be a remote chance that it has slid a little to one side. Also some extra glue could have shortened the contacts on the bottom part of the digitizer. I would try to clean it first with some anti-static liquid. Hope this helps..
Indeed, this sounds like there could be more pressure to one side of the screen than the other, hence the digitiser tries to adjust for the pressure difference and gradually falls out of sync.
Try reapplying your screen protector, more gently than last time if possible, but don't wipe from side to side, wipe from top to bottom with an even pressure. Also, try realigning the screen with the protector off before reapplying it.
I had a problem with my screen originally before I got my screen protector, insofar as I got that 'rainbow' pooling effect in the centre of the screen where the digitiser was touching the LCD layer - after about a week after application of the screen protector, however, the more even layer of tension provided by the protector somehow pulled the digitiser away from the LCD layer, so my screen has actually gotten better since then... That said, I could imagine that uneven tension on the top layer could lift the LCD and digitiser layers further away from each other on one side than on the other, causing the problem you describe here. If you can bear to, try using the phone for a couple of days without the protective top layer applied, and see if the alignment gradually slips out as it's doing at the moment.
I've been using the phone for the past two days without the protective cover on. I'm going to reapply it now and then see how it goes tomorrow. If its still screwed, I'll reflash it to the O2 ROM and refund it at work on Tuesday.
Got a replacement, so no problem now. Thanks for the help anyhow

Pressure on the screen

Hey guys, there seems to be something a little irregular with the screen. When I press on the screen anywhere, there is a spot on the screen that appears to be what looks like pressure being exerted on it. Just like how it looks when you press on the LCD screen of a laptop. This happens also when i press on the case at the top on the left side. The spot I am talking about is about 1 in down from the top of the screen and about 1.5cm to the right from the left of the screen. It is not easily seen unless the screen is displaying a very dark background.
There is a membrane over the surface of the screen that will flex as any pressure is applied to the touch screen, both by the pen and by the frame. If you look at it through polarized sunglasses you can see the effect of any pressure quite dramatically. Unless the screen is malfunctioning or there is color distortion, I don't see a problem.

i dont think thats what hes talking about, he makes it sound like whne he touches the screen a "lcd ripple" appears somewhere else on the screen.
Mine does this when i slide hte keyboard, i can see one in the middle, it kinda worries me, especially since my last kaiser's screen broke and i didnt do anything, i just took it out of my pocket and it was like that.

Spen scratching my screen protector and home button question

I got a used galaxy note in tip top condition and decided to apply a new clear screen protector. My only problem is that each and everytime I use my SPen with any kind of pressure (except the really really light ones) my screen protector gets scratched! This is absolutely appalling and my screen protector is the same brand I always use for all my phones which I have never had a problem before. I've read on the forums about some people claiming that the Spen should not scratch the screen because it was designed for that BUT I tried out another Spen on my note and it didn't leave a single mark! Now I'm left thinking that my pen was probably modified or damaged or something but it looks pristine in all angles.
Are there samsung ICS roms that have the home button lag / double click feature disabled? I'm running rocket rom and can't seem to find it.
Lastly, can anyone try sliding their finger and applying pressure on the home button on the left or right hand side? I tried it on mine and I could have sworn the whole button slopes down and this is making me worried.

No screen display but touch feedback, how to fix?

I replaced the screen on my phone a few weeks back and earlier today the screen was lifting so I removed it to re adhesive it. The screen was working perfectly fine before hand however now it is not giving a display signal. Me touching the screen still gives feedback but nothing on the display. The screen was on the same table as where I dismantled it. The screen had a bit of adhesive down the side of I used some 80% alcohol hand sanitiser to help remove it. Refit the screen and their is no display, been a fair few hours and still nothing. Swapped broken screen in and their is no display on that one either, Pls advise what could be the issue and how I could recover data as there is a password on the device.
