Ok, first I have been reading for about 2 months now regarding this problem.
I have installed the phoenix rom. They say to use a 1.65.xxxx radio(which I've tried) but still nothing.
Carrier: AT&T
Location: 10 minutes from Philadelphia, PA
CE OS: 5.2.21109(build 21109.5.0.0)
ROM version: 3.57.502.2 WWE
Radio version: 1.71.09.01(have tried alot)
I like phoenix rom, I don't want to change it.
Why oh why can't I get or make calls. I upgraded from hermes(never had a problem, but the screen cracked) I need some guidance.
If your one of those tarts that say "Don't feed the noob"(I've been reading everyday at least 4 hours per day, while being only on XDA developers faithfully since I've heard of the website)

I would like some help and advice here, am I hoping on too much from my SX66 or do I have Software/Rom Issues? I'm a newbe here so I'm sorry for this being so longl
I have been using a Motorola MPx220, I loved the way it worked with outlook, and bluetooth, so I thougth it would be nice to have a true PDA for notes etc and a phone in one. up to now for the last 6 months I have been using a Motorola MPx220 & an HP4705 pda for making notes etc.
I have had SX66 for a little less than a week, the signal reception has be horrible for example here at my computer the MPX220 has full signa yet the SX66 only has 1 bar
My device info is as follows:
ROM Version: 1.33.10 WWE
ROM Date: 1/21/05
Radio Version: 1.02.10
Protocol Version: 1337.35
ExtROM version: 1.33.110 WWE
The case that came with the phone doesn't do a good job staying on the belt, I have had issues with making a call and having no audio at all, this is with bluetooth, hardwire earphones or just the phone.
so far I HATE this phone, does anyone else have any expierence with this phone? Do I just have a lemon or is it the phone?
I travel about 4-5 days per week on average across the southeast it would be nice to have an all in one device, be able to surf the web with a larger screen, write directly to the screen for notes etc. and maybe even e-mail but this really sucks, I also have been trying to set it up on my 802.11b/g network but I don't have any luck setting it up, I do have a password on the network but I can't seem to get this shown.
Please let me know what you think, I'm open for suggestions, also If I keep this phone/pda what is the best case for it?
Thanks for all of your help.
I have the Krusell Multidapt for my SX66; it adds very little bulk, especially if you don't attach the belt hook. I bought mine on eBay a few months back for $23.
You should definitely update the firmware; I'm using the standardized SX66 ROM, and I've noticed definite improvements in BT and WiFi performance. I use WiFi both at home & office; it's free and much faster than GPRS.
I haven't noticed any GSM signal issues in metro Atlanta; I live in Duluth & work on Mansell near North Point Parkway. I get excellent signal at home but only one bar (on a good day) at the office, but the phone works well there. FWIW, when I visited Southern Cali last Xmas, my SX66 did better in low signal conditions than my dad's Nokia.
Yes, updating your device to the latest Radio ROM will go a LONG way in helping you out. I have a PDA2k that I am using on Cingular, and have notice a great deal of signal improvement here in Nashville, TN with the 1.13 Radio ROM.
if you go to the Blue Angel Wiki page, you should find links to all the firmware updates you need, including the Radio ROM.
The SX66 Extended ROM Standardization Project will also have a decent Ext. ROM that you can use. It will have the latest BlueTooth stack in it, as well as updated software for use in the SX66.
I see a few reply's about updating the Rom
Which ROM is best? I have seen reply's telling of different sites for rom's also for a newbe any place I can get good step by step directions?
Thanks
Also keep the advice comming I really appreciate all of the help

Hi,
I've been using this forum for a while but think this is my first ever post!
I've been having problems with the search function today so decided its going to be quicker if someone can help me out.
I've never updated the rom on my wizard (which was on o2 but i unlocked and usign t-mobile uk sim now) though as im using push email the not vibrating when on standby thing is starting to piss me off.
Question is which rom do i need to fix that standby problem?
currently mine is on
rom version: 2.21.4.1 WWE
date 3/9/06
radio version 02.07.10
protocol version 413.1.03
extrom version 2.21.4.101
bit of a begginer with this so not sure if its g3 or g4 :S
thanks for any help
You can use my Molski.Biz roms.
Never heard that someone that uses my Rom has the same problem like you.
Regards,
Molski
have you tried going to settings, sounds and notifications, then tick the notifications tab at the bottom, under Event choose Messaging: New Email message then tick the option for vibrate?
dont know if this works while in standby or not, but know the option is there and turned off by default
yeah its set to make a sound and vibrate etc... which it does when its on, just in stand by it doesnt do it.
Heard about the problem before tbh which is how i know its a romproblem.
Just downloaded the t-mobile usa rom which imgonna give a blast, nothing to loose i guess
ahh had a go late last night and learned a few more things which if id spent longer reading the forum id have found out lol.
Right my phones a G4 and was an o2 uk phone.
First problem was it seems impossible to update a rom in vista as when it goes into bootloader mode vista disconnects from the phone. had a go with xp and got further.
Next problem is seems I can only use o2 uk roms presumably due to it being CID locked which am i right in thinking you have to pay to unlock?
Sooo if I want a nice new rom am I right in thinking im buggered? lol
Hi Guys,
I got my TyTN II last Thursday and at first I was quite frustrated with it thanks to Orange UK putting their terrible homescreen on it.
Since then I have been able to get rid of that. I now have the HTC home screen with a couple of other apps like calendar+ and Batterystatus.
Thanks to this website I am now very happy with my TyTN II... However...
Maybe I need to update a couple of things as it still sometimes runs very slow and when I return to the homescreen it takes a few seconds to load up... Is this normal with WM6? If not, what can I do to tweak it up a bit?
Here is what I'm running at present:
Operator version: 24.181.1.612
ROM version: 1.81.61.2 WWE
ROM date: 09/20/07
Any advice would be much appreciated. Maybe someone should do up a screen with all the best apps, the latest version and a link. That would be very helpful as I think there are some older versions still out for download and it is hard to find the most recent of everything.
Cheers guys.
I have an AT&T Tilt, but I've flashed it to another ROM. The WiFi has worked intermittently since I've owned the phone, but only after flashed the AT&T ROM out of it for the first time (around December of 2007).
What I'd really like (if it's even possible) is any default registry settings anyone can think of.
Here is all the relevant information I can think of:
Operator Version: iolite by poldo
ROM Version: iolite_v05 WWE
ROM Date: 02/25/09
Radio Version: 1.65.24.36
Protocol Version: 25.94.40.06H
I do have WMWifiRouter installed and it has worked with the program. The newest version.
I've been through these forums, Google, PPCGeeks... I've downloaded a "wifi/ics fix" cab I found on this site... I've made sure that the HKLM/Software/HTC/CommManager/WLAN key is /TNETW12511...
I did notice that under HKLM/Comm/TNETW12511 there is an ImagePath file that is TNETW1251.dll (note the lack of a second "1"). I traced the file, and it is correctly named. It's always been this way.
I post because it seems like I was using WiFi one evening, shared to my MBP, I shut everything down, went to sleep, and when I woke up the next day, my WiFi was absolutely borked.
EDIT - Also, as an aside... my weather tab just magically quit working. This is independent of my WiFi issue (I assume) because it auto-updates through my data plan.
My sister have an HTC Touch Diamond. It was locked by Vodafone, but this is unlocked still by me.
The LCD of phone is very strange. After few days from a new ROM installing (firstly is perfect), I can use hardly the touching. When I touch the "A" point, the phone perceives the "B" point. Rarely help me the LCD calibration, a period of time it work, but after a while it goes wrong again.
I try more ROMs, but it was same by all. The LCD-touching work fine, but after few days, goes wrong.
Thanks forward for anything type of help!
AT PRESENT:
Windows Mobile 6.5 CE OS 5.2.21907 (Build 21907.5.0.93), but it was on phone 6.1 too yet.
ROM version: Basics WWE (from XDA)
Rom date: 11/02/09
Radio version: 1.00.25.05
Protocol version: 52.29.25.12W_1.00.25.05

maybe you can try using the G-Sensor Calibration! you can look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430070
Try going back to 6.1 !
Diamond has known issues with the 6.5 , because the headset is old and oftenly does rage when sees a new OS (a far better one than the once had...)
If this still doesnt work , my option is this. Buy a new touchscreen. It`s a sad option , but desperate times require desperate measures.
Wait for other replies , dont go THAT harsh on your headset just yet...
