Do you still have the problem after you uninstalled IGO8, because it can cause your phone to change the time according to your IGO8 settings everytime you launch IGO8.

Time on wm5 - 12 hour format changes to 24 format

the time on my today screen (8125) changes to 24 hour format even when the 12 hour format is chosen. did a soft/hard reset yet still the same. Running a qtek rom on mine so not sure if it's rom related. any help? :?:
I've got the fix
Go to your regional setting and go to the time field where it shows the time formatting yours wil be
HH:mm:ss
HH = Military time
change it to
hh:mm:ss
hh(lowercase)=12 hour format
This was bothering my 6 wizard users for 2 weeks and this fixed the problem
What have to do is go to your Regional Settings and under the time tab select h:mm:ss tt in the time style field. It is hidden when you have another time style selected. Just scroll down with the mini scroll arrows on the right side of the field when you select it.
I struggled with this for a while before figuring it out. I hope it helps. 8)

Thanks for this tip.
Suddenly today my 8125 started displaying military time. This fixed it.
What I'm curious about now, though, is why did military time suddenly show up? I didn't set it to that intentionally. I have installed a few new programs recently - I'm just speculating that Chronos might be the culprit since it is a time program.

AT&T Tilt Automatically changing to wrong time zone

I am not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but I have had the Tilt for a week now, and I noticed that the Time Zone was changing from PST to London time. I have my device set to automatically change to the correct time zone (under the phone settings)... If I disable it, there is no problem, but I travel a lot so I would like it to change automatically.
I am using the Standard ROM from AT&T. I think it could be a ROM issues since this problem would pop up every so often on different cooked ROMS on the Hermes. BUT I wanted to see if anyone else was seeing the problem.
Thank you,
I have the Tilt and switched to the HTC factory ROM. I have been experiencing this problem as well. It hasn't happened in a few days, but it is really frustrating when it is. My Outlook calander gets totally messed up along with the current time. When I go into Time Settings it is set as London. I'm not sure what was causing my problems or how I apparantly fixed it, but it looks like it went away.
Anyway, you're not the only one!
Ditto, I have a stock ATT Tilt and have disabled the automatic install of the bloatware. I'm in California and the phone reverts to Mountain time at least once a day. The optional cabs i have installed are duttythroy (DY) touch skin, DY task manager, DY HTC sim manaer, DY black 3g comm manager, DY HTC voice recorder, Equinoxe retouched dialer, and PCM contacts & keyboard. Any help or direction is much appreciated
yes, this has been happening to a lot of people...this also causes activesync to run in the background all the time and I always find myself turning activesync off in the task manager a few times a day...the one thing I which was posted in another post was I deleted a notification called repllog.exe "app run when time changes"...now i'm not sure if this fixed the time zone issue but it did stop activesync from running all the time...
Thanks strikeIII, I looked for repllog.exe using the search function and sifting through the windows directory, I can't find it. Would you happen to remember the path?
That would be a good find considering it should improve the battery life quite a bit.
Ok guys, what you need to od is:
Go to Start->Settings->Personal->Phone
Find "Time Zones" tab and untick "Automatic change time zone and clock".
That sorted same problem here in UK.
Also in California and was having the problem on my TNT 2.0 flashed 8525 and now my new stock 8925 does the same. was also causing havoc on my calendar and schedule. I went ahead and disabled the auto update for now and all is fine.

You'll not find the particular repllog entry (re "start on time change") that way. It's in the "notifications queue" so you'll need say SKtools or Memmaid (or Scarybear check notifications if you can find it). In one of these go to the notifications queue.
BE VERY CAUTIOUS.
Do not delete other Repllog entries because you can kill Active Sync altogether. I strongly advise a full backup before deleting Repllog entries. They can be re-entered using SKtools or Memmaid but it's straightforward.

Thank You, I used the "uncheck auto update" function. Has worked well since 11.35 pm 10-16-07. Chris

yeah, sorry but I used MemMaid to take care of the repllog.exe file. this may not cure the time zone change situation but it does take care of activesync running in the background. At least if you travel a lot the time will still change automatically.
I do travel alot, I'll give it a try thanks again StrikeIII, Chris
I'm having the same issue. I'm in Idaho and my phone keeps switching to Central time. I've likewise had to disable the automatic time zone changing in the phone settings to get it to stop.
I have had this problem on my Titan/Mogul since day 1. I think it has something to do with Windows/TimeWizard.exe not sending the correct queries to NIST:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\LockStream\Time\Servers
Server1: http://time-a.nist.gov:13
Server2: http://time-b.nist.gov:13
Server3: http://time.nist.gov:13
Server4: http://time-nw.nist.gov:13
Disabling time synchronization solved it for me as well.

Clock runs slow ?!.

Dear all,
I could not find ant thread about this topic.
The clock of my Diamond runs slow, so that I have to put the correct timing every two-three days. Any hint which the problem might be?.
Thanks a lot,
José.
Same with mine
I have also found any hint, anyone an idea?
My ROM is AnjaRom CleanV2 1.93.707.1 GER
Radio 1.00.25.05
Best idea I have is to make sure that you clock is set to automaticly update (this for some reason is often not a default setting)
To do this go into your settings, and then into the shortcut called "Phone"
At the bottom find the tab called "Time Zones" (you may have to scroll over to find it)
Make sure "Automatic change time zone and clock." is checked.
Hopefully it is not, and this solves your problem
I got this problem also

Manila File for My Location?

I did the best search I could without any success. Therefore, I'd really appreciate if anybody can name or send the Manila file(s) that are related with "My Location".
I will try to edit, if I can, so that it will show my city instead of "My Location" after a soft reset.
I am using 28014 ROM with Manila 2.5.1921
Many thanks
Dear Chefs,
any help?
thx
manila should remember your last choice of weather city even you perform soft reset (hard reset is another issue).
If you really dislike my city, try search how to disable my location.
no, it's not that I dislike it, on the contrary, I want the manila to remember the city I select but it does not. It simply goes back to "My Location".
Just to give an example, the manila in Xannytech 1.7 and Miri_28011_Manila25_TEST ROMS does remember the city whereas Flashmore and Lost in Asia V16.1 ROMs don't.

Have you enabled My Location? It is turned off by default.

Make sure "Automatic change time zone and clock" is not ticked on in Settings -> Personal -> Phone -> Time Zone.
If that is ticked ON the phone will revert back to My Location after a while and at every soft reset.
Otherwise you can use Dutty's Disable Current Location CAB, you can find it around here.
My Location is designed to work like this. It will "always" update where you are. But sadly, it doesn't work with GSM. You need to turn your wifi on to get it work.
First of all, many thanks to everybody for all their kind comments and replies.

Yes, of course, My Location is enabled. I chose Istanbul in the Weather Tab and removed all other cities. Then I went to the Home Tab and selected Istanbul by pressing on the clock and ticking "Istanbul" option button and thereafter Istanbul shows up right below the clock with all weather animations..etc. However, I have to follow the aforementioned procedure after each soft reset.
I will now check what snapilica2003 suggested above.
@ mcdull: yes, but I am not trying to use My Location so that when I go to another city the current location is updated. All I need is the selected city to show up after each soft reset.
best regards

ok, tested on "BLACKSTONE - PDAVIET ROM WM6.5 (Core 21619) by T2M" but there's NO "Automatic change time zone and clock" setting in this ROM.
Now, will try LIA 16.1 and provide feedback................
snapilica2003, thanks for your advice! All works fine!
OK, snapilica2003's suggestion works on Lost In Asia V 16.1 21616 because there's "Automatic change time zone and clock" option.
Many thanks snapilica2003!
Also works on on LIA 28014 version.

Why is My Location over gprs only working with activated wifi, without beeing conected to any ap though??
For me it seems that the location app is getting the correct data over gprs but needs an activated wifi driver or something like that in order to get the data.
Wouldn't it be possible to write a mortscript or an app that will permanent fake such a wifi driver beeing activated?? For that case we would be able to update our current location over gprs the whole time

[Q] Problems with HTC Viva after rooting.

O hai fellow tweakers!
I have problems that keep meddling with my daily life, which it does really troublesome.
1) My clock always get delay everything hour. Like, for a day it get delays up to 30 minutes.
2) How to change the location of the photos preview at the photo section on WinMo 6.5 stock interface?
Thanks much for your people's help. ; )
1) Check the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644783
If it doesn't solve your problem, try disabling "Automatic change time zone and clock" in Start > Settings > Phone
2) I don't understand what you mean, are you talking about M2D? Or the default WM Pictures & Videos program??
Which ROM are you using?
I have check that thread. That's is not my problems. Mine is I get delayed like 1/2 minutes each hour pass. Result in one day, I get delayed almost 30 minutes. If I leave it on, it will delayed more and more.
Default one. I use Evo Ultimate ß.
Another question I have in mind is, how can I change the no format in the phone when dialling. Like (XXX) XXX XXXX to XX XXXX XXXX.
Thanks.
hmmm, the time problem sounds weird to me. Did it happen in other ROMs? I use Evo Ultimate Beta, but I didn't notice any time delay issues.
Try enabling the "Automatic change time zone and clock" to let your device synchronize the time by itself.
If it doesn't work try other ROMs, or try a hard-reset. Maybe there's a software conflict somewhere. So a hard-reset will rule out software issues.
If the problem persists even on the stock ROM, then it could be a hardware glitch. So take it to a service center for inspection, or maybe just email the HTC customer support.
For your other questions I have no idea how to change the pictures preview folder because I don't use the stock interface, I'm using SPB Mobile Shell.
And I don't know how to change the number format too.
Sorry I couldn't help you with that.
Oh, okay. Thanks a lot. But where's the option to automatically setting my time at date? : S
It's here (the opposite of my suggestion in my first reply):
Start > Settings > Personal > Phone > "Time Zones" tab.
Check the option "Automatic change time zone and clock".
This way, your device will get the current time zone and clock from the mobile network, which should be always calibrated and accurate.
If it still doesn't work, I think you're left with the hard-reset option, or switching to another ROM.
Best of luck.
