Hi,
I was trying to find this information with no success, so that is why I'am asking here. Is it possible to use build-in GPS device from my HTC Kaiser on my notebook ? For example by active sync or something?
lol I bet you didn't really even search around. The question has been asked several times.
I searched for you, see if you can find it on this page, and it is on this page.

search tool is your friend for very common inquiries
When someone with one post finds it and you can't, it just shows how lazy you truly are. In the future, search before asking.
This thread is old as heck, which makes it another good reason to lock it.
Just wondering if like the HTC Kaiser the Diamond has the option to use the GPS Photo setting, I know that with the Kaiser the registry had to be modified, has anyone heard if this is the case with the Diamond.
Cheers
Andy
I asked that a couple of days ago already..

No clear answer yet, unless its in the video's, but its hard to watch here in China. So I don't know yet...
why dont you guys dump the roms and check there before asking here. in short... yes it has the gps photo.
Sorry I am not that technically minded to know what dumping a rom is.
I had spent an hour or so on Google so felt that sufficent research time spent before deciding to ask the question here.
thanks for the reply though
geotagging
i will be writing a detailed post about geotagging using any windows mobile 5/6 device that has gps built in.
must warn in advance that any geotagging info written to file whilst still on the device is not what i will be dealing with (roms and al that sort of stuff will deal with tht) i will be talking about once your photos get to your computer.
check back here soon. cant do it now im at work.

According to the tweak post, stickied at the top of this forum, it requires you to change a registry setting. To do so, download any Windows Mobile registry editor, and install the file. Then, check out the Diamond Tweak thread, tip #13 (I've just copied it below, but the thread is really filled with valuable information!)
13. Enable GPS photo: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P10 -> change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1
It might not be the right place to ask this but does this mean the GPS is activated/deactivated when you start/stop the camera ?
nope, only when you go into the GPS Photo mode.
Hi all
Wonder if anyone can help with this. I use myTouch Diamond to sync to home and work PCs' Home is XP, work is Windows 2000. Outlook 2007 on both.
The phone ROM is 1.37.405.1.
I am getting a recurring error during sync:
Activesync encountered a problem on the desktop. Support code: 86000107

I have tried deleting partnerships and starting afresh, reoving and re-adding contacts and calendar in Options, all kinds of methods. The only thing that solves it is the fresh start: however, it only works once! When I go to the work PC, same thing happens, I delete the partnership and start again, it works fine... until I go to the home PC...
Is there some WM6 problem with Activesync? Any pointers as to how to solves this?
Thanks for any help.
I'm sure you used the Search facility and didn't find an answer to your question, right?
WRONG! Don't be lazy - there's a search button. Use it before starting new, useless threads.
Pretty rude response. Just ignore me next time if my posts trouble you in any way.
Yes, I have used the search function. I have tried the suggested steps.
There is no reliable solution to this that I can see. Perhaps you can enlighten me.
There are a few solutions to be found that work temporarily, yes. But they all seem to fail when you sync with your other PC and then come back to sync again with the first.
Have you tried unchecking all the sync folders, then adding them back in one at a time to see if one is causing the issue...
or this...
1: unplug usb cable if you are still connecting it with your WINDOWS MOBILE
2: Open MS Outlook (I m using 2007 as an example), go to File- > New -> Outlook Data File , and create a new PST file (what ever name/ location)
3: In outlook, Tools ->Account settings, then click Data Files tab, click the new PST file that you had just created, and set as default , then restart outlook
4: delete activesync partnarship in both Windows Mobile and in your Desktop
5: Plug the WM to the USB port, and it should sync properly again.
6: restore the backup by using MS Outlook's Import and export function

I'm sorry if I seemed rude. However, if you read the responses you KNOW there is no solution. You also know where the thread discussing this is, so why open a new one?

Why not just accept that sometimes a new thread will open on a subject that is a persistent problem, especially from someone new to the forum? Or,even better, just don't bother with your unhelpful remarks. If you have something useful to add, let's hear it.
There are several threads that mention the topic.
Windoze9t8, thanks, I have indeed tried this. It does, as do some of the other fixes, resolve the problem for that particular activesync session. But when I go from computer 1 to computer 2 (on both of which I have done the above with the .pst file), on computer 2 I am back to square one with the 86000107 error.

Sorry I cant be of more help as I dont not use activesync much as I'm using the 4smartphone service which syncs mainly over wireless.
It's a WM 6.1 bug. WM 6.0 works just fine. ATM there is no known solution.
I hope that sums it up.
Thanks guys.
Sadly, before reading that, in my attempts to get this to work I have completely banjaxed my Outlook 2007 so that I can neither uninstall or reinstall it, nor will system restore do anything.
Hello everyone I'm new here, well long time reader first post! I've recently come back from the dark side (Symbian based mobile).
Anyway on my old Sony Ericsson I had a great programme which enabled me to explore my mobile sync it with outlook etc, obviously the diamond being a smart phone it does this and some more! However I'm missing the ability to have my mobile plugged into my computer and my computer notifying me of texts etc with the ability for me to reply and send them using my computer rather than having to look at my phone! Lazy I know but still!
I've tried looking on here and on google however Diamond, Texting, windows are very broad terms so the results didn't really give anything significant! Anyone know of such a programme?
(sorry if this is in the wrong section or i've just been a noob and missed out the huge topic dedicated to this issue in another section).
Search for something called "MyMobiler". That will do that for you I believe.
Perfect!

Thanks for this just what i was looking for.
Hi ppl,
I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I've already googled a lot and found nothing about. I've a Slingbox Solo, and I need to program it to recognize a remote from my new Internet+TV+VOIP provider, Vodafone Portugal. I wasn't able to find nothing on the web until now.
But, I was able to program the HTC One TV app to read the remotes and control the set op boxes
Now I have to find a way to convert the ir_data that I've found on a SQLite file on the phone to a JP1 format that Slingbox recognizes.
Does anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me with this? I will be very, very happy
Regards,
Zé

There is a nice forum here I'm sure you can find your answer in. This question is a little off-topic here.
