Wifi stopped working - Suggestions? - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I tried to pair my HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz) to my laptop via Bluetooth a few days ago. I gave up as I couldn't get it to work.
The next day I tried to get Wifi connected and it wouldn't to my network even though it had the day before. I'm sure its a n00b problem and just a setting but i've been looking at it for the last 4 or 5 days and literally tried everything.
When I try to connect to my wifi connection (named 'Home') it tries for a few seconds, then says "Unavailable" with a little icon next to it with a radar with a red cross though. Picture shown below

}
I've tried to find out what the icon means but to no avail. I'm not far from the wifi router. (sometimes a meter, sometimes upstairs).
I've also noticed that Start > Settings > Communications > "Wifi" is also shaded out for some reason now!
Any suggestions?
I've made sure the MAC address is in my "Permitted computers listed access to the wireless network" as it is WPA protected and MAC Filtered.

Cut off the connection of phone to PC, and try again

Thanks but that I had already tried
This morning I managed to do it somehow, not quite sure how but I changed some settings that required a restart, then when it came back it automatically connected to the network!
Thanks

Could possibly be a 3rd party wifi manager that removed that.
Its always happened i guess.
But since i cant manage my wifi connections it connects to data, and i dont have a data plan so that sucks...
Hmm, we got a few choices

Small tweak to turn off WiFi when Bluetooth gets connected

Hi all,
I have this setup for a long time. In the morning when I'm usually getting into my car BT turns on and automatically connects.
What I need is when it connects to turn off WiFi because I'm leaving the house. I've tried all kinds suggestions I found online but neither one works
What am I missing?

I don't have tasker installed right now, but you need to create a profile that looks for state of your car bt connecting. Then create a task to changes network setting on wifi to off triggered by that profile.

Thank you!
Creating new profile that looks for state solved my issue. Does anyone knows why %BTConnected = 1 as a task did not work?
It should turn off WiFi when it connects to the car BT.

Your Phone companion app

Hi there, my pc does not come with bluetooth, so I bought a usb adapter. I'm trying to have my phone connected to it over bluetooth for audio to use in the Your Phone app on windows 10, so I can take calls on my pc instead of my phone if I want to. However, I'm having trouble getting the app to recognize my phone's bluetooth connection. I get this screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, I also have this:
I'm just spinning my head around in circles trying to figure this out, and yes, I've already done all the google troubleshooting options, battery optimization, restarting, resetting, re-pairing, clearing cache, etc. It's none of those issues. I would just absolutely love if someone could figures this out for me.
Check Event Viewer for error messages.
Maybe a Windows driver issue.
Reboot always reboot...
Make sure you have "Focus Assist" turned OFF in Windows settings. If it's set to Priority or Alarms Only, then the "Calls" section of the app WILL NOT work. Ask me how I know.. I fought this problem for WEEKS

"Network Selection Disabled Association Rejection"

Whenever I try to connect wifi, It doesn't connect. It remains SAVED and it shows "Network Selection Disabled Association Rejection". I tried different wifi network and also hotspots, but same problem. Sometimes it connects after couples of time retrying but shows No Internet and then automatically disconnect. I tried restart phone, reset network settings, Restore factory, wifi connection DHCP to Statics but nothing works for me. I don't know where is the main problem but it is a big problem for me. Please tell me how I can fix this.

Welcome to XDA!

Turn Wifi off, then back on a few seconds later with a bluetooth if/then trigger?

OK. A little background.
One of the devices I use with my phone is an OBDII "scanner" for my vehicle. They make various types. Plugin (don't like that kind, can't charge my phone at the same kind), bluetooth (don't like that kind, can't listen to my phone's music while it's paired to the OBDII device)...and a WIFI connection device.
This is the one I landed on using. The problem is, it doesn't "release" the network connection. So hours later, in the house or halfway across town (from the car) I'll notice I've got no internet or phone service because the phone still thinks it's connected to the little OBDII scanner.
So my thought was, a little script to watch for my bluetooth to UNpair from my vehicle's bluetooth (when I get out, to go in the house/work), where it would turn off the wifi for like 30 seconds, forcing the phone to drop the OBDII(wifi) so it could acquire my home wifi.
Is this do-able with an un-rooted phone? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
