im a new jade user just got it a few days back
i was using gene and have flashed many roms on the same
i herd about JUMP spl ie if u use this it temporarily un locks ur SPL to flash any rom u want pls see below attached link i don't understand it if any one can read the same and explain i would be obliged as i do want to flash the ROMs here but dont want to loose my warranty by doing HSPL

phone was hardspled, flashed, then unhardspl
now stuck in bootloader, i can't turn it on unless i flash it with the original dopod cht rom.... can't find it on the forum.

it wasn't me, my brother wanted to go all "original" and removed the hardspl following the instructions on the hardspl link =(
Im hoping some cud just simple break down a few things I dnt know anything about:
Wht is the ROM?
What is the Radio?
If I wnted to get original HTC software instead of the branded software I have, is tht the rom or radio.
SOrry once again, I have read through the first post on the site but it doesn't make sense coz I obviously dnt know wht im looking for.

that would b a rom that u would want to use to replace the interface that u have now. you would also have to flash a radio once you flash a rom...

Help needed badly
my ROM v is 1.14.404.3 (22273) WWE and i want to upgrade to miri 6.5_21198_v5.2 but have no idea how to start i have zero knowledge about this, thats why i started this threat so that people like me can get some help.
could someone please help me with what i need and how to do the rom upgrade help....

You must flash HardSPL first to be able to flash this ROM!

For all information on flashing, HardSPL, USPL as well as roms available why not check out the wiki? Thats what its for!!
There is also countless threads here regarding flashing, backing up, HardSPL etc etc etc

Well, if you've read all the threads and all the wiki and understood them, I'm surprised you need to know were to go now!!
Best place to start if your looking to flash a new rom, is to read up on the particular rom you want in its thread and then try it out. But if you've already read up on these you would surely already know that, no?
To flash any new rom or radio you gonna need either USPL or HSPL. Info on these in the wiki (which you've already read) and also in cRaCKwHoRe's guide in my signature.
The best way to know which is best suited for you is to read up on each and try them out!!

Hello,
Congrats ! and welcome to the club.
1. I would suggest you to Go through all the WIKI Documents to understand what is Flashing and other Technical Terms.
2. At least try to learn about HSPL, USPL, and Radio Etc.
3. After reading all this ask yourself whether you are comfortable syncing the Windows Mobile with your computer.
4. If you are ready, then really ask yourself whether you need to flash the Cooked Rom or better to stick with Shipped Rom.
If you made up your mind to go for Cooked Rom. All you need is to use HSPL or USPL and flash the desired cooked Rom.
Infact everyone was noob before they try including me… So cheers and Happy Flashing
Note: I preferred to use HSPL 1.56 and Dutty’s 3.3 cooked Rom.

the best rom is what u like no one can tell u what is the best ROM
u need to try all the ROM and decide which is best for u whats best for me is not whats best for u as my req is diffrent from urs right
and before u try any cooked ROM u need to DO HSPL have u done that for this read in this same forum u have stiky on the same
a humble request kindly dont wast a thread you can always ask ur questions in one of existing thread right

hi i think the best rome is the rome that have less bugs because some of them have a lot of problem I want the latest rome that release and have few problems and i dont think it is childish I know that i shoud istall and see which is the best but i want that if anyone test the roms and finde out that one of them have less bugs introduce it

BUT remember : to try any cooked ROM u need to do ur HSPL have u done it if not pls do it before u try any of the cooked ROMs and note if u do HSPL u also have the risk of loosing ur warranty for HSPL their is already a sticky on the same
