Also i have an kind of stupid question. How to i check which version of the 6.1 rom i have in the device? I updated using one of the roms here on XDA-Developers, but i don´t remember which one.

the term "real" was meant for RAmdisk....the RAMdisk isnt affecting any feature of the ROM..first u guyz were complaining about low ramdisk and now Biger RAMdisk

This one is still based on the very old WM6 Wizard ROM.
It has lots of ghost-files in it.... (like touch.dll; *.dsm; ... )

is the carkit functionality builtin this time? This because after flashing your newest rom there is no sound from the carkit speaker. I used wavedev2.dll and edited the register with taskmanager for wm6. This gives no result. Can you help me?

There is no version of WM5 or 6 available for 2020i and there probably never will be.
BTW I do advice you, next time you visit a forum, first browse it so that you know that you're in the right section. 2020i is known here as Alpine and has its own section here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=249 to clearly seperate it from Himalaya. In that section your question has been asked and answered over and over again
HTC finally released a ROM upgrade for the Wing. Appears to be just Windows Mobile 6.1, but I'm no expert. Did it fix the Pagepool?

may be you should have read more before posting this thread, cause there is already like 3 threads about this. But anyways, the ROM is still 6.0 not 6.1, and it sucks just as much as the orignal. Plus in some cases it can cause serious problems while loading the ROM. In anycase, my reccomendation would just be to flash a custom ROM.

Sorry! As you see, I am a junior member, so when I didn't see this posted, thought I'd disseminate some useful info. As you are an authority, a few questions: other than the Pagepool fix and unloading a few useless Microsoft programs, is there any benefit to using an homebrew ROM? This assuming you have your Wing tweaked to perfection with the old ROM.
Also, ?is it possible to use Sprite Backup to restore your system to a new ROM? or does each program and tweak need to be separately placed and adjusted.

Thanks. Which ROM do you recommend? My Wing has the Battery Status for speed, Pagepool for memory, iFonz for program selection, S2U2 for class, and Inesoft Dialer/Address book for communication with ease. It's a little slow but not annoyingly so.

If you customize your wing a lot it's the best you start with one of the lite version of roms to enable you the most out of your storage space and program memory.
I personally use open touch v4 but there are many good roms. Check the rom review thread in the rom section.

All official roms come with official HTC software including manila, HTC keyboard etc.
What rom? Are you looking for wm 6.5 titanium rom? Wm 6.1 rom?
Dutty has a clean no manilla rom advertised in his Leo R1 test thread. That's the only one I know of.

when i had my samsung omnia some people took off all the samsung programs from the oficial rom and i thouth someone else could have done the same for the Htc touch hd.

Should be more clear when you say official then as all cooked roms are technically illegal or unofficial.

Hi everyone.
I am not really a hardcore HTC Diamond user as I just use it for the basic such as texting and calling so I was wondering is there anyway I can upgrade to WM 6.5 from 6.1 which is what I am running at the moment with a custom Gen Y ROM.
I dont use TF3D as it feel it's to in your face just like to keep it simple with simple WM running.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Ok so I can download the Windows 6.5 Revolution Titanium edition A and flash it using RUU and it would be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.5?

I was just offered a Trinity, so I came here looking for information on how to update it. I already read a lot of things and managed to install the latest Radio and tried some custom ROMs, no problems whatsoever.
However, I still have some questions I can't find answers for:
1 - Why use a custom ROM? Isn't it possible to use the original WM and then install only what you want?
2 - If it is, where can I find a ROM with the original WM6.1 and 6.5?
3 - If not, what is the least modified ROM I can get with 6.1 and 6.5? Or at least some ROM with only the basics.
4 - Is TouchFlo the same as Manilla? I've seen both words but I don't know the differences.

1. Flashing Custom ROM is faster then installing a whole package like with manila2d.
2. No, trinity only ship with original 6.0 ROM.
3. If you want 6.1 ot 6.5, flash an Ultralite ROM or cook your own. For p3600i 6.1 - try this
p3600i 6.5 try this
If you have the original p3600. Check the Trinity Upgrade Article in the wiki. Remember Lite ROM.
4.TouchFLO is the original that is shipped with the Elf/in
Kaiser etc... Manila is TouchFLO3D and it is bundled with the Diamond and Pro. And Manila2D a slimmed version of TF3D that is used in the Viva and 3G and can be installed in most WM phones.
