Can someone help me please, I messed up big time, I accidentally installed ROM for CDMA version onto my GPRS phone. Is there anyway I can get it working again, or this is it? Now all it said on the boot screen is DIAMONDTOUCH, no version # or anything and it just stuck there. Please, any help is appreciated.
Thank
As long as you didn't flash a CDMA ROM that also contains a Radio, then you can manually enter bootloader, connect it to your PC, and flash a GSM ROM back to it.
How would I manually enter bootloader?

Hold VolDown, and reset/power on the phone. After a few seconds, you should see a tri-color screen. Plug in the USB cable, flash a GSM ROM.
I tried that, but the computer does not detect the phone.
No ActiveSync but the RomUtility for update run anyway ^^ Flash new ROM

Enter the bootloader with the cable disconnected. You should see "Serial" towards the bottom of the screen. Now plug in the USB cable. If you see "USB" appear, then you are good to go. Just start the ROM Update Utility, and let it run.

For some odd reason I can no longer get the the "serial" status to change to "usb". It charges but does not connect to activesync. I flashed many many times so I am not a noob at this but I might be making a noob mistake.
What I am using: SPL 1.54 (I use USPL 2.5). I am currently using Miri's v23 manilla 2.5. I am using the same pc (xp) and cables to flash.
What I've tried:
- used 3 different pc's and the original pc
- 4 different usb cables
- ticking/unticking the "enable faster data syncing" box in settings>connections>usb to pc
-ticking/unticking "allow usb connections" in activesync
-if I leave the cable in AND THEN put the phone in bootloader mode, the status is blank. When I remove the cable, it returns to "serial"
When the phone is on, it just doesn't seem to react (vista and xp)to the cable being plugged in. The led just shows that it's charging.
I pulled an all-nighter and I'm stumped.
Maybe you need to update the USB drivers. Same thing happened to me but it worked after updating the USB drivers as per this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524619
I forgot the most important part-
Since the pc does not recognize that there's something plugged in, I cannot select the "HTC USB Sync" under device manager and proceed with updating the drivers. I don't think I need to but at this point I'm trying everything.
Unless there's another way of updating drivers without the phone showing up on the device manager...
Updated the usb drivers by plugging in an old htc device. The pc was able to recognize the other htc device and was able to switch from serial to usb.
But after the update, there was no improvement for the blackstone status.
Anyone? The phone still doesn't recognize the usb cable whether the phone is on or in bootloader, it just charges.
Any help is appreciated!

Seems something wrong with your device. Try to hard reset and do it again?
Or if you still cant connect to usb. there is another way to upgrade without connecting to pc. After upgrade to new ROM, try it again whether it can connect to pc or not? Here is some tips for you.
Connect your SD card to PC through microSD card. Copy all files from your SDcard to new folder in your PC. Then, right click on the microSDcard disk-->full Format by FAT32 (this step is very important).
After formatting SDcard, copy back all files to SDcard . Rename .nbh to BLACIMG.nbh (for Blacktone) and copy it to SDcard.
Insert your SDcard back to Touch HD. Turn off your device by Power button.
Go to Boot loader mode. Push and hold Vol. Down + press Power button.
After that your device with have a white screen with text " Press to power button for continue upgrade" press power button and it will start upgrade Rom.
You can check this video for more practical actions on youtube.(this video for HTC diamond2 but it's almost the same with Blacktone just different in rename step)
Hope it helps and cheer
Thanks for the tips =)
I've did a hard reset twice and still no luck.
I've tried to flash through SD but since I use USPL, it just hangs when I try.
If I have SPL 1.54.0000, is there something that can be flash through the SD without USPL?

I have not tried this. I am on HSPL 1.56olinex but you can try my suggestion cause I think it's the only one you can choose now. I never ever use USPL. I think you can do it step by step and carefully.

I agree. Copy the ROM of your choice to the root of your storage card if you have one. Rename it RHODIMG.nbh. Boot the bootloader screen by holding down the volume down button and the power button. It should flash from the MicroSD card.

Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Rhodium Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RHODIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RHODIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

It's self explanatory.
Download MTTY.exe.
Connect the phone to your PC using the USB cable.
Run MTTY.exe.
In MTTY, change Port to USB, not one of the COM ports. Click Okay.
Type in the command "set 16 0". Enter.
Reset the phone with the sylus.
Not sure how this is different than my initial post.
Installing a stock ROM with your PC connection will usually get rid of any boot problems too.

Are you connected to the wall or your PC?
You can buy a battery, flash the phone, then return the battery.

More information would be helpful. A picture of your bootloader screen or a transcription of all your bootloader text would be useful in determining the problem.
Here is the bootloader

Hi guys do u think this is a hardware problem because the phone don't charge or connect via usb so it maybe a faulty usb port causing the phone to go straight to bootloader mode. The computer is making the noise when something is plugged in & then u get the message usb device unrecognized & just not charging or connecting.
Hi everyone I got past the bootloader loop but the phone still won't charge or connect to the computer so I am charging the battery through a battery wall charger I bought from ebay I think I will have to replace the usb port don't have a warranty anymore due to water damage I have no idea how the sticker turned red. So I will pay to fix it & see if it will charge and sync again.
Just restarted the phone and yeah it went straight back 2 the bootloader loop
Hi,
I have a Rhodium and so far I have successfully flashed a lot of Roms untill today...
I am trying to flash another Rom via ActiveSync, so I have connected my phone to my PC, than run the CustomRuu.exe like always, but I am stuck at 0%.
I decided to flash using the SDCard and renamed the ruu_signed.nbh to RHODIMG.nbh and than I´ve enter in the BootLoader Mode, the device tries to load the Rom, but I´ve got a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
I cannot even HardSPL the device. I run the Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3.exe but i can not get the device properly synced.
I though I had an internal memory problem so I´ve formated it using a new tool found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...12&postcount=1.
But now I´ve lost everything and I can not flash any Rom with activesync, always the same problem, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.", and if I flash from SDcard a white screen saying "loading..." and stays like this forever.
EDIT:
Can not HardSPL automatic flash, because could not get the device properly synced.
Can not HardSPL with Manual flash, stuck at 0% and then the message - "Error [276] : update error.#
Any help please.
Thanks

Then I assume you already have hard-spl on your device installed. So trying to install it again will fail.
*Go into BootLoader Mode (do a Soft Reset while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. Keep holding the "volume down" key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it) and verify the screen shows 0.85.OliNex, which is the HardSPL version* Is this the hard-spl version that you have?
You didn't mention which rom you tryed to flash. Did you try other roms?

Thanks for your reply,
Yes , you are right I have already HardSPL installed - SPL-0.85.0linex.
I have tried several Roms even the Rhodium stock Rom. If I flash via activesync I get stuck at 0% and if I flash from the SDCard (RHODIMG.nbh) I get a white screen saying "loading...." with no action.
This is strange as I´ve flash so many roms so far
Have you reset both your device and computer before connecting?
Just leave it in Bootloader mode and connect it to your computer and then try flashing.
As long as you put the device in bootloader mode, you do not have to get it to sync. I've done this many times when a flash didn't go right for some reason (like I forgot something when I cooked it ).

I did both things with no luck.
I have put the device in bootloader mode connected to the computer then I´ve run the customRUU.exe but I am always stuck at 0%

I would try this first as posted by jeanrivera.
Also maybe you're customruu is somehow broken? Try downloading a new one. Also I don't know if it helps but when you flash via customruu do you have the image named ruu_signed.nbh? I don't know if it matters what kind of name it has, but it's just a thought
Took my Nexus One off my cradle today to see it was locked up. Thought no biggie, I'll pull battery and restart it.
Now when it boots it comes up with four bars. Red, Green, Blue, White and the 3 skateboarding Droid Bots. I have no clue what to do now.
I was running Cyanogenmod (Forget the version, but it was 2-3 months old. I have not done anything to my phone except add the ebay app to it yesterday.
I can not get my computer to recognize it as a Nexus One anymore so I can not use Fastboot. I tried recovery from HBOOT, but keep coming up the same way.
Please Help

Picture of my Nexus One from Wifes iPhone...
I can get to FASTBOOT and when connected to USB it says FASTBOOT USB, but my computer fails to recognize the device and it goes back to FASTBOOT.
I can not turn on USB Debuging because it will not boot normal. I do not know what to do.
Weird screen, never seen that before.
Is this screen the only thing you see when you turn on the phone or do you still see the splash screen with the unlocked bootloader image prior? Have you tried booting into recovery? (holding the volume down button while turning the phone on)
Yes its the only thing I see.
I do not see anything Prior.
I have tried to boot to recovery many many times. I have 3 different results.
1. Nexus X with nothing else
2. Nexus X with Unlocked icon below
3. The screen you see
Either way, it does not move forward it just hangs. Is there a way to turn on USB debugging from FASTBOOT or HBOOT?

looks like the bootloader screen, thats what the rainbow screen was on the g1.
havent seen it on the nexus though so it could be something else.
Did you try a factory reset using hardware keys?
I believe you do this by holding vol-down, power and trackball for 5 secs.
That does not seem to do anything but take me to FASTBOOT
There has to be a way to turn on USB Debugging from FASTBOOT?
If you can get fastboot usb to work you could try the following (using latest amon_ra recovery.img):
Code:
fastboot boot c:\path\to\recovery.img
To boot into recovery, then use adb or try nand-ing etc.
if you get that far (recovery)
Code:
adb shell reboot normal
should take you into os.
However, the colored bars look like some pretty serious hardware failure I'd guess...
I can not get FASTBOOT USB to work. Any suggestion on how to get this working again?
Windows just says Unknown Device and uses a standard windows USB driver. I try to update the driver pointing it to android_winusb.inf but windows says no go.

not the sd card if it was a bad card it would just bootloop
if you have SDK you can see what the phone is doing with ddms
I would download SDK and install driver in SDK then you can run ddms and watch what the phone does in the realtime device log as it tries to boot
That pic reminds me of the MDA Win Mobile 5 boot screen, real similar...

try to hard reset the device , this is her guide HTC Alpine hard reset
To perform a full reset
A full device reset clears memory, deletes all data, and restores the Pocket PC Phone to its default settings. Programs installed at the factory remain. All data that you have created and programs you have installed are erased.
Press and hold the Power button, and then use your stylus to press the “soft reset button” at the same time, as shown below. Be sure you have backed up all your data on an SD card or on a desktop PC before performing a full reset. after you hard reset the device, connect to a USB sync and you Flash Room again All you have to remember, allow usb connection .... and not disabled its usb connection Okey if you still have problems you can contact me
