Soft keys

Sory to ask such a dumb question, but I have tried and tried and could not found the solution.
After upgrading to Panosha Light 5 rom, when I press the phone hard button I get a screen to dial, where the left soft key is programmed to "hide keypad" and get to "keypad" again.
I would like to have here instead of "keypad" a shorcut to "contacts".
Where can I change the left soft key?
Open registry editor and go to \HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
Edit "HomeLSKPath" value and type in the EXACT location of the program you want to launch (includung capital letters) e.g "/Program Files/xx/xx/xx.exe"
Save the value.
Then edit "HomeLSKText" and type the title of the softkey eg "Contacts" or some other text that you want to show for your LEFT softkey
Save this value
Close registry editor
Soft reset phone
After soft reset, the LEFT softkey should now show new title and link to the program that was set in "HomeLSKPath"
Harder than I thought, hope it works. Thanks.

Problem with Fitaly and word completion

Hi
I've downloaded the most recent Fitaly but I cant get simple word completion working.
The phone keypad and compact qwerty do give me normal word completion.
The others such as full querty, keyboard and fitaly don't.
I have tried all the settings available but so far no joy.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me
Thanks, Dean
A quick bump so this doesn't disappear into the forum depths.
I'd really like to solve this as I need word completion.
Any help much appreciated
Thanks,Dean
Touch Diamond Text Word Completion Registry Change
IMPORTANT: previously be sure that HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\XT9SupportMSSip has a value of 0.
Simply change these two registry keys under:
HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\layouts\e 0010409
Ime File : \windows\xt9ime.dll change to Ime File :\windows\compime.dll

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to registry changes. What would be best to use for this - total commander or memmaid ( I have both)?
Is there anything to watch out for or is it pretty much follow your nose?
Thanks, Dean
Thanks a heap Manny - you're a fricken genius. Changed the value as you suggested and hey presto, I'm in action again
Once again xda proves to be an invaluable resource - many thanks.
Cheers, Dean
I have Fitaly 5.0 installed in my HTC Diamond. I can use it to enter lower case letter without any problem. However, it just can't enter the capital letter that I press, no matter I press the CAP key to show the upper case keyboard first or when choosing a sentence with some upper case letter in it from the popup menu.
All the upper case letter are displayed as a lower case letter.
For example when I enter “aBC”, it will display “abc” on the screen.

change buttons beneath the T3D scroll bar

Hello eveyone,
I´d like to know if there´s a way to change the two buttons beneath the horizontal touchflo3d scroll bar.
I use the bElite99b ROM version and there it says on the left "Telefon" and on the right "Programme".
I´d like to change the "Telefon" button to a calendar button. So that it reads "Calendar" and when I press it, the calendar opens up.
If it is not possible to change it through an already written program: does anyone know if there is a registry key for this button?
Thanks in advance for any answer.
bye,
Thilo
solution found
ok, I found the solution myself while reading other threads.
Here it is:
change the registry key values:
'\HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeLSKText' to e.g. "Kalender" and
'\HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeLSKPath' to e.g. "Windows\Startmenü\Kalender.lnk"
bye,
Thilo

How to adjust menu horizontal separator spacing???

Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone knows the registry key (or other) to adjust the vertical spacing of the separator (horizontal line) between items in a menu. My Rogers Touch Diamond came out of the box with terribly altered menu font sizes and various other items with the intention (I'm assuming) to make it more touch friendy. The problem is the menus were never designed to be this way, so it appeared very sloppy and out of place. I finally managed to find the various registry keys to bring font sizes and selection dots and check marks back to the normal size (as per my previous HTC Touch) with the exception of one thing: the spacing above and below the horizontal separator line.
The first attached image ("Old.jpg") shows how the menu previously looked on my Touch. The second image ("New.jpg") shows how my Diamond currently looks. You'll notice that everything is basically the same now, except for the space above and below the horizontal line.
I did some searching, and came across the "SepYMrg" key in HKLM\System\GWE\Menu. The MSDN site defines this key as "the margin of white space above the menu separator line", which sounds like what I am looking for (or at least half of it). The key did not exist in my registry but, after adding and adjusting it, the result was still not what I'm after; instead of adding more "white space" above and below the line, it seemed to make the line thicker. The third attached image ("Adj.jpg") shows the result.
Does anyone know how I can make the necessary adjustments to get my Diamond's menus looking like the old ones? Any help would be much appreciated, as always.
Regards,
Bump.
I'm sorry to keep bumping this thread, but I'm hoping eventually it may catch the eye of someone with the answer.
Anyone?

How to put menu letters bigger?

How to increase the letters on the start menu?
I have the old start menu view as you can see in the image, but letters are so small at natural
I think I've seen a trick to change the registry but can not find it. Thank you
I don't know if the ones in the menu are changed, but go to: settings - all settings - system - screen - text size. Again, don't know if only the message text is changed or the menu. Sorry if this is not the solution

I think is not a program... Is change some key from registry... I use to have a Diamond and I do but know I can´t find the page with instructions But it can be done.... Sure someone remember the way
HTC have "Enlarge Start Menu" that does that... Never heard of registry settings for it though...
This is what you're after. See attached screenshots to see the difference.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu]
"Enable"=dword:00000001
You have to soft reset the device for the change to take effect.
