To Turn the radio on of try the Flight mode!
Thanks a lot! i've got it... it's much easier to turn my phone on and off without selecting the tiny icon to enable flight mode, and also flight mode switches off the wifi

The add contacts adds some of Cingular's contacts for customer service and such.

Can you give me more info about it?
Tks,
Alex
@Atary
Just download the attached file, and put it anywhere on your xda, then tap on it, it changes the state of your radio (e.g. if off, it turns on, and vice-versa).
I am using XDA IIs, and it works fine, i even created a shortcut to it in the start menu...
Hope it works!
i know this thread is old...but, thank you mangal for the file...ive been looking for something like this...awesome!!

For the power, try this. Make a shortcut of the exe file in windows\startup folder.

You dont get what I mean, i dont want any tray launch,
this application is called "Schap's Power & Wireless service Manager (shows Bluetooth/Wi-Fi on traybar)" , develop by Schap, just only need power_srv.dll and wirelessMgr_srv.dll and enable some register keys...
besides, this Wireless service Manager = WIFI+BT+Flight mode in a icon..
so now, u know what i mean now??
and sorry for my poor english...
now clear
are you sure, that you need only these two dll files? looks like it has own icon "advanced configuration".. did you try to contact someone from hermes section, to give you these two files + reg. keys?

in fact, I got these 2 dlls from Schap's ROM and copy them (include power.exe) into my TYTN II, then import these 2 reg keys, now there r two icons on my kaiser's traybar, but, but, when I enable WIFI/BT/Flight mode,
only WIFI/Flight mode's icons show instead of wireless icon, so maybe need other dll reg. key i havn't found ...
I have asked Schap several times, even pm him, but still no answer, pity....
so only i can do is ask professional persons here...wow -_-
optiquest,
here is a full package of "advanced configuration". i tried to move it to \windows folder and run application, but there is an error msg. could you try and share your status?

I had problems like u before when i use Hermes..
Have u changed CommManager's details? or try to disable HTC home and try again..
ps: I use standard WM6, use its build compact framework..
change commmgr details? what do you mean?
i do not use htc home
hmm, did you exported some registry? what do you have setup in region settings?

if I change commManager in Advanced config (eg: add 3G or del something etc), next time when I reboot pda, I will get some error there...
Advanced config for me is useless except enable cleartype, so I think KaiserTweak will be better when I want to change somethiing in Registry.
So I can get my tilt to display neither, or the clock all the time, or the battery when at the today screen and clock otherwise, but is there a way to make it show both the battery and clock icons at the same time all the time?
well, you can start by searching. Also, try programs like kaiserTweak or Advanced config
Yes, I've searched and I've used both programs. I've found plenty of documentation on how to make none, one, or the other appear, but nothing on both.
Try wisbar
I was hoping for something more like a registry edit, so I could show the native icons, not a program that would add its own.
I've asked so many times about removing the network icon...and nobody has found away...
the only way I've found to have both is to use another app to add the battery to the taskbar. Currently I use SPB's Pocket Plus 4. Also there is another one that is actually a start menu replacement but can be used just for the battery icon. That app can be found here ..... http://tillanosoft.com/ce/smenu.html
QuickMenu, amongst other things, will add a battery indicator w/ % status to the start menu in conjunction with the WM6 provided clock. Best thing is, it's free and will come up easily when searched for on Google.
edit: It's similar to smittyofdhs's proggie, but newer.

Use reshack to edit phcanbmp.dll and remove the network icons from it. That will effectively work for what you're seeking.

My bad, it's phcanOverbmp.dll. Open that up in reshack (aka resource hacker), expand the 'icons' tree and you can choose to either replace them with a blank icon (recommended, I don't have any available, search for it) or delete it. As for which icons are which, that's self explanatory once you're in the app.
Hope this helps!

If you're using the stock AT&T 1.62 ROM, you are correct, there are no 3G icons found.
So, find one of the cabs that installs a new one and then edit the new phcanOverbmp.dll.

Nobody said it would be. But now you know how. Have fun! (You may also want to search for existing phcanOverbmp.dll files that may do what you're asking).
does it have to be from a kasier?

I've used phcanoverbmp.dll from Hermes in the past. also know there are TONS of threads about this in Hermes forums...
Give it a try. Even if you can't get it working, the worst thing that happens is you've wasted an hour and learned a lot Read more about reshacker too, it's powerful and can be used on Windows DLLs too, not just WinCE...
ahh...i give up...i cant find a phcanOverbmp.dll with the icons even it in....
Hi,
I have this icon (the first withou a name) in my setting tab (see attached)
I don't know what it is ? and how to remove it...
When I click on it, nothing happen ?
Don't know why it doesn't work for you mate, but its to hook up an external gps to your diamond for use with google maps or another gps program.
Never tried to remove it, so I'm no help there.

Sorry, it's my fault
I'm not talking about the icon highlighted but the first on the top without text
my Hermes has a "communication button"....but diamond doesn't even have that..
i know the title is misleading..but what i wanted to know is...is there an app that pop up to turn on wifi....when i'm trying to do the following:
>Update weather
>start opera/skyfire/IE
>start any application that requires internet connection
PPC users like me that can't afford any data plan...is there a way to do this pop up...that'll be a crazy app..IMO

+1. Just a question box saying "Do you want to run on wifi? Yes No" . Kinda annoying to have to go into commanager everytime I need Wifi.
1 vote from me too! Very smart and useful.
Not a popup but toggle, just save to start menu, then you don't have to go into comm manager everytime to enable wifi http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=419005
I use AEbutton, and configure it to toggle wifi with a triple click on hang up button ^^

Yeah, had the same problem too. Use DiamondTweak, scroll trough the various options there and you'll find what to disable. I think it's item 6.3 or something.
