I have a Synology 207+ and need a music program on my TyTN II, that are able to access the share folder on my Synology and play the music. I have S2P which is great so I'm looking for a program like that.
As it is a NAS, I don't think it has streaming capabilities. You might want to use one of the following programs/plugins:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-network-folder-plugin-v1-0.html
HTC Network plugin (attached)
...
Use these programs to map the network drive which contains your music. This way you can browse to your music and play it using WMP (I think).
Good luck...
I already map my Synology drive with PPC total commander, so is these plugin then nessesary? I have my videofiles working with TCPMP already, it's just the music files that are missing.
if it only show video and not audio in the same dir mounted then it sounds like the audio is not in a format that TCPMP or whatever audio program can use
p.s. streaming is not the same thing as having access to files over a network
streaming is not realated with files on the clients end at all
Okay, let me elaborate. You're right I don't want to stream. I want access to the music folder on my synology and play it from there. I have it working with videofiles in TCPMP. They are two separate folders.
i'd asume you do it the same way
as a test you could try placing a single music file in the video dir and check if it shows up
Since you were able to find the video files, it should be no problem finding the audio files.
TCPMP doesn't show files with extensions it doesn't support. That seems to be your problem. Although it would have to be a really rare extension, giving the wide support of formats by TCPMP.
Can you see your music files when you browse to the folder using file explorer on your Kaiser?
PS: Just wondering: how have you managed to map a network drive using Total Commander? I didn't know the option existed (as far as I know, the option does not exist)
hey guys
I wanted to know if it was possible to transfer the songs i save from youtube to my phone..
i have tried changing the file extension but does not seem to work
I really want to add songs to my phone without having to spend anymoney
anyone got any info?
Thank You.
Chris
Yep. I don't know what program you use to take the music from Youtube. I use Free Youtube to MP3 Converter 3.1.1.1. by DVDVideoSoft.com( think I got it from CNet). Anyway, you save or tranfer the file into one that is monitored by Media Player. Open Media Player, if it isn't there try updating the library. After that hook up your phone and Sync it. Done deal! PS- You have to have the file you get from Youtube in a format Media Player can play(mp3,wav,wma,etc.)
thanks man...got the files on my phone...only problem is they dont go to the windows media library..i put them on my storage card, and have to listen to each one individually to my phones windows media player
I have tried using DoubleTwist to manage my music and playlist from itunes onto my phone but for some reason when I try to open the M3U file it won't work. Does anyone know how to fix this error on the Captivate?
Isn't an .m3u file just a playlist file? Which means it would need to actually reference the files (if I'm not mistaken, but I could be totally wrong). Did doubletwist not bring your music over properly? When I installed it, it pulled all my music and playlist correctly from iTunes.

Yes, the music came over fine. Double Twist created the M3U files itself. The problem is, they won't load into doubletwist and I don't understand why.
When I try to open the M3U files manually (because it won't show up in doubletwist), it says that the files are not there anymore or there is some kind of problem. I don't understand why the M3U files that doubletwist makes from my MY doesn't work on my android.
Have you tried iSyncr in the Android Market? It has support for importing playlists onto the Captivate.
I am having the exact same issue as SlimJ87D, namely that doubleTwist imports my music and creates the playlists on my vibrant, but when I try access the m3u files from doubleTwist, they aren't listed. If I use astro to browse to the m3u files and try to open them with dT, I get an error than says they no longer exist. Has anyone been able to solve this problem?
Update: A reboot of the phone solved the problem. My playlists now show up no worries.
i once was using ios devices and ipod, so i use itunes, and i have created a large music lib by itunes, with a lot of apple lossless format music, so i am wondering is there a way to play apple lossless files on htc m7
Any solution?
why wouldnt there be? im pretty sure pretty much every smart phone supports files like flac
I have a similar problem.
I can't drag my flac file directly to the device and I can only sync my flac file with HTC SYNC.
Any solution?

that would be a way but i have already got so much of apple lossless .m4a files, and i samply dont want to convert the files into other format, i mean that work is useless, and the lost of the sound quality is irreparable, cause i dont have the orginal cd copy anymore.
thx any way.
I have a flac file on my HTC one, dragged from PC to internal storage. It plays fine with power amp.
You can use iSyncr ( I think that's the name? ) to Sync you're phone with iTunes, it's handy. I use it since lots of my stuff ( mainly podcasts ) are on stinking iTunes.

Hi
My girlfriend has an android tablet that she wants to play music from, the music is on my NAS.
I use iTunes on my computer for editing audio files on the NAS , even my girlfriend thinks it's easy to use iTunes when you can have playlists and it is also easy to just select an artist or an album.
I have a lot of MP3 files and she does not want to listen to all of them.
So I need an app that plays MP3 songs from my NAS and you should be able to create playlists.
I have search google play and read many forum threads but found nothing.
My NAS is a LaCie CloudBox 4TB
Make suggestions and i will I test them
Nothing?
Have i put the thread in the wrong category?
