G-Sensor App with whitelist - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Hi!
I am searching for a program like Gyrator, GSen or MobileMagic that rotates my screen when I rotate my Vario IV. But these 3 progs make all programs to rotate with the possibility of a black list, I just want some selected programs to prevent some problems. Is there an alternative with an white list?
Greetings!
K

gyrator would work fine for that. one of the default settings in gyrator is to set everything to rotate. just turn that setting off (set to 0 i think it was). and then add in the programs you want to be able to rotate.

Thanks! I have tested the app and it seems to work

I prefer changeScreen.
Cheers,
Steve.

Thanks for the hint but gyrator works better for me. Especially the function to find the name of tasks is better solved in gyrator.
Greets!

How can the diplay rotation be forced?

I just installed TomTom 6 on my Diamond, all is working well but I can't seem to force the display to rotate 90 degrees to landscape orientation.
On my Wizard I always programmed one of my hardware buttons to <rotate screen>. There's only one button to program (the green phone button) on the Diamond, but the <rotate screen> option is not available!
Any thoughts?
Have you tried to install SPB pocket plus and use the built-in shortcut to rotate the screen? It should work... or so i hope
with QuickMenu.

Wow nice app!
Ill try it out on my wife's Diamond to see if it will force rotate (and hopefully remain rotated after a reboot/restart).
I was hoping on a more elegant solution, other than having to install a whole new app just to enable screen rotation!
You know what, I'll fire up the WM6 SDK and program a TT6 launcher myself Let me know if anyone's interested so we can gather some tips and other useful input on this.
I used quicktime but it messed up my taskbar, my close programs icon was gone
needed to hard reset

Texting in landscape

Hello guys,
for the last 20' i am searching the forum but i cant find an answer.
Is there a tweak for the diamond to be able to write in landscape? The landscape mode of other phones is sooooo nice, that it is for me a major factor in selecting the phone i am going to purchase. Makes the SMS life so much easier...
Download GSen from the sticky thread at the top of the forum. Then you can just turn the phone sideways to switch any app into landscape mode.
Enable Manual Screen Rotation (Portrait/Landscape): HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation - HideOrientationUI (change from 1 to 0)
After this, you can map the long press key to <Rotate>.....I go into sms, press the answer button for a sec...everything goes into landscape....exiting the program takes me back to portrait on the today screen. My only gripe is that it rotates only clockwise. I would rather it rotate the other way but it works.
Your other option is to try Gsen and use the G Sensor to rotate the screen. I have not tried it yet as I have read that some have experienced bugs.

I must say though that texting using the WM6.1 qwerty keyboard isn't too hard. I dont have fat fingers though.

yup just what i was gonna say, and it works well, i believe you can also manually rotate the screen in the options menu (there is a tweak for this listed in the tweaks thread i think) but i just use GSEN since it lets you rotate any app just by tilting the phone

Ok in my zeal to change the registry..I am not use to this keyboard on board and I change the registry right below this GDI-rotation-hideorientationUI...what was the name and value right below this? I can't believe I did that.

I'm about to ask the same question.
Gsen is a nice application. But I only want landscape when messaging. Is there a better way to activate the rotation when I;m messaging and deactivate when I exit messaging.
remove all other values in the gsen config and keep the one for sms.

If you mean LandscapeFixed, which is what is below it on mine the value should be 1.

Hello bro, your instruction is clear. But for a beginner like me, I do not know what is the .exe file to include in the gsenconfig (file name in WM6 for messaging application)

i have the sprint diamond and i got it to work, i set the long key by going :
start > settings > buttons > now where is says "2. assign a program" you need to scroll all the way up the list to find "<Rotate Screen>"
its like this because the list is in alphabetical order and characters come before letters.
hope this helped!

How come Gsen works with my "Programs" but nothing else.. it wont rotate in texts or nething else.. wtf.
Gsen hasn't been updated in an eternity.
I recommend Brins0net_Gyrator:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427805
Still in very much active development and in a much more usable and configurable state than Gsen.

after reading this thread i'm still confused. I have gyrator but that rotates everything. If I want only the messaging to rotate, can someone please post those instructions.

screen orientation switcher??

Hi all
I've had a look around the forums, and i cant seem to find a definitive answer to what im looking for, and im certain ive seen it in a rom somewhere
what im looking for is the following:
A program which allows me to change the orientation of the screen by means of a start menu shortcut (not the one which normally be in the settings -> screen -> orientation, that menu seems to be missing on my rom)
does anyone know of a program (preferably free), that is small, and lightweight that can do this?
many thanks
Search for Gsen or Gyrator in forum.
ive done the searches, ive used gsen/gyrator, those are automatic screen rotators which change the orientation of the screen using the inbuilt accelorometer
i am looking for someting which i can use to manually change the orientation of the screen, a bit like the orientation switcher which was built into the screen settings menu
nobody?
surely someone must know of a program that can do this
ScreenRotator
http://www.pocketkai.net/asp/en/index-en.html
Saerch for the freeware ScreenRotator.net at this site.
QuickMenu has that feature which will replace your Start Menu. you can do that by tapping an menu item then.
Unless I misunderstand, install AEbutton and map one of your buttons to screen orientation.
Hey Stix,
To enable the screen rotation icon from the Settings>Screen menu, edit the registry: "HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\HideOrientationUI" and change the value to 0. Go to the Screen page and you'll see the Portrait/Landscape option.
After enabling the screen rotation option, you can map the talk button to rotate the screen with a long press. Start>Settings>Buttons; just look for the <Rotate Screen> option from the pull down menu.
You don't have to go to the Start menu, doesn't use resources (I'm guessing) and it's free!
Hope this helps.
TF3D doesn't rotate even when you select the <Rotate Screen> option (unless the keyboard is popped out, obviously). Only applications and the Windows menus will rotate if you manually rotate the screen.
thank you very much my good man!
this is perfect, i use my raphael to read a lot of pdf's and docs, and i recently discovered documents to go which does everything i want except change the orientation!
many thanks asdfjklqwerty!
I use this, AAHRotate0-90.CAB or AAHRotate0-270.CAB on my Touch Pro.

I just searched for these cabs. I can only find them on a Chinese website which I can't read. It requires login to download the files. Does anyone have these cabs and could they be posted please.
Thanks
RotateMe
Hi,
you can try this attached cab. Hope it's what you're looking for.
P.S. Cab file extracted from ROMeOS v1.95.4.
Excellent! Works like a charm on my HTC Vox. I know this forum is for Touch Pro, but since I found the software here...

AAHRotate 1.0
I do it with AE Button, but if you have SK Tools, these shortcuts will also do it (use the shortcut manager if you want; these probably work with the free version, too):
Code:
Portrait:
1#\Windows\skstart.exe #DMO_P
Landscape:
1#\Windows\skstart.exe #DMO_L

Manual Landscape

I have been looking through all the settings on the D2 to manually change the screen to landscape as I used to be able to do on the Touch cruise but without success the G-Sensor is a bit of a hit and miss and only works on some programmes. I would like to use landscape with Navigon 7 anyone know how to do this ?
The TF3D interface does not work in landscape on default, there is an app available for it here
you can go to settings>all settings>system tab>screen and change the orientation, somehow this only works one time for me, it just changes back automatically.
in Navigon (I don't have this) there is probably an option where you can change the orientation
edit: change the orientation to landscape in the screen settings, and then start navigon.
Tnks for the reply TK tried the tweak did not seem to do anything apart from restarting the D2 there are no settings in the screen tab for changing orientation just alighn, Cleartype and Text Size.
will have to keep looking.
somehow the tweak options end up in the all programs list, found under Manila Rotate On/Off.
maybe this option came with one of the programs installed ^^
After you do the manilla landscape you soft-reset and then it should be there for you to rotate stuff. Another app to try out is G-Config. Search for that on the forum. You can add automatic rotation to apps that don't support it after you add them to the list you soft-reset and then try it again. I've managed to put MSN, Skype etc on it.
installed Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3, start and then:
screen -> show orientation settings -> yes
then i configured the one button i can configure (left-bottom: press and hold):
settings -> all settings -> personal -> buttons -> <rotate screen>

What about the phone app? When you're in navigation Mode with MN|7 and a call comes in, the phone app is in portrait, right?
Does anyone know, how to turn the phone app to landscape?

[Q] Auto Windows image rotation

Hi guys, Happy Easter! Currently I am typing from my D2, so I'm not able to search for a good fix due to slow wi-fi connection. That's why I'm asking any of you that already knows how to make my screen auto rotate. I am using windows 6.5 and I can't remember which rom, tough it's a very simple one. At this point my image won't auto rotate when moving the phone, so games like Rock Band won't work. Opera and other few programs auto rotate plus games that are made only on landscape. The problem is I can't find the auto rotate setting or program, only a setting that makes me choose landscape/portrait. I changed my whole menu to landscape and Rock Band still doesn't work. Can anyone help me?
Thank you

There is an auto rotate app here. I have not tested it so I can't confirm that it will work on your ROM.
You can also try the attached GSensor cab.
Another thing you can do use the Topaz keyboard control app and set rotate to one of your buttons.

The app must support rotation and you could also set one of your buttons on double\triple\ or long press to rotate screen left or right with the kybrd cnfg....
