Registry - Tweaking Issues

Hi guys,
I'm having a problem tweaking these CACHE SIZE values as i couldnt find the last two registry below on my Xda IIs (WM5).
Apart from that, whenever u edit a registry value, is it just key in the (DWORD Data to 4096) ? I did all these tweakings based on the link here.
I do hope i can get some advice on this.... .thank you !! =)

Please be more specific, what is your problem ?
1.You edited the cache registry entryes and you have not performance gain.
2.You can not change them
Please explain

Sorry about that, i need to know if the above tweaking on the site are meant for all WM5? Including the latest version Tuma 1.3 ? thank you !

As far as i know the latest TuMa has these registry entries included with the rom

Switching the hadrware-keyboard layout from German to English

Hi,
I just installed a german ROM on my english TyTN II, so the hardware keyboard is set to german. I've only found cabs to switch from english to german but not the other way...
I also found that:
changing HKLM|Hardware|DeviceMap|Keybd > CurLang to your CountryID

But in my registry there is no 'CurLang'-value at that path.
Have I to set value by my self, or is there an other way to switch the layout back?
Maybe someone got an ideae

This topic has be adressed already. Addtionnaly, it is recommended to post in the thread of your ROM, as this problem could ROM specific .
If you do not have CurLang, you could try to create it (DWORD) and set the Hexadecimal value to 407 (which is the value for German layout).
Then soft reset, worth the try . If it's still not working, try searching around, you may find quickly what you want!

Yea I've been studying the keyboard related posts here before I posted the message. I only found topics that dealt with us-layout->other-layout problems and for that, there are many fixes around.
But right now I found a workaround witch worked in that post.
THIS IS NOT A TILT KEYBOARD FIX SOLUTION but a workaround for people having an original TYTN II with QWERTY hw keyboard and ROM in a differnet language. Below sample is for a German ROM flashed into a US original KAIS130:
There are few registry entries you have to change.
First set:
[HKCU\MUI]
CurLang = 1033 (or HEX 0x409) - IMPORTANT, set this first!!!
Then go to
[HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts]
and - to be on the save side - go through all SUB KEYS and set all "00000407" values to "00000409" (Do not rename the keys themself!)
there is still one SUBKEY which has your language written as a string:
[HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\0000 0407]
"Layout Text" = "German"
Change the above entry to "US", soft reset your device - done!

Just keep in mind: above sample is for a German ROM (407) - if you flashed a different language to an english device, then the "407" will be something corresponding to your language.

Could someone please provise me with values for these registry strings from a stock Topaz ROM with the original Phone Canvas?
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\Cover\UntouchableRect
&
HKLM\Software\HTC\Phone\Cover\UntouchableRect_NoRect

Using PHM RegEdit, mine shows no value (blank) against both of those two.

Registry Library Help

I have searched for list of registry keys in the manila folder . Somehow I accidentally deleted some of them .The ones I need are the ones having to do with the weather. Any help would be appreciated.

Could you please elaborate a bit more, like for instance list the registry hive you refering to and which version manila / rom. I could make you an export of my registry if you say which hive but without more info it's hard to provide much help.

HKEY_Current_User\Software\HTC\Manila\ ? Everything that is listed for weather. Some how is was deleted

Here's an export of the mentioned key of my registry, it indeed contains some settings related to weather:

I'm currently running Dutty's WinMo 6.5 R4 rom so you might wanna check if you can directly import my reg file. It would be savest to delete the lines you dont want to import. To import download the attached manila.txt and rename to manila.reg, then import with an app that can like registry editor or total commander. Obviously you can edit the values in a text editor before importing if you want, this is the default this rom comes with.

Thanks for the reply ,but I think the registry is different from rom to rom . Im running Duttys 3.9 turbo . It has an extra line starting with barcelona , london , seattle , paris , tokyo
