hi guys
im looking for a rom that suits my needs.
i need a rom that will run tomtom(sat nav) play a video, and phone n txt
i have no real use for any of the other programs on the roms
i dont think i even need ram disk as sat nav works great from card.
is there a striped down very basic rom i can use?

Hey guys, i have got a question... (Excuse me for my English
I LOVE "design" of Explode's last ROM (I think it's WM6 GUI), and some Addons too... but this ROM, I don't know how dooes some problems to me... For example with wifi, it is still connecting to net, but never connect, however, in manager it gives me an information that i am connected.... And it's really slow, when I want to run an application, it takes a few seconds... And the main problem is with camera... It works, but not as goos as in Bazniacek ROM. The picture is blurred and when I'm recording a video, I don't know how to say : so, 5 seconds recording, 1 second pause, then recording again, it's not fluent.
So, i think Bazniacek ROM has everything except for perfect things from XPlode's ROM, So guys, is it possible to do ROM where will be "xplode's ROM with Bazniacek drivers ?" And guys, Someone wrote there something about calculator... I think everybody uses this, is it possible to include better calculator in ROM? And last thing which I love in Bazniacek ROM : It is "empty"
everything is in EXTROM so you can install what you want, it's perfect.
And in extrom should be : Office from xplode's ROM, Profiles - It's perfext application,BA-GOODIES, Framework and much more...

do i need a ram disk?
if so will tom tom run better from ramdisk?

i use my xda for
tomtom
watching vids
taking pics
wireless internet
lots of calls n txt
I have a 1gb SD card with tomtom n maps on oh and loads of vids n pics
any ideas at moment running

imo all roms are good....differences between them are really not visible 4 common user...
Go for the rom which runs the applications you use most fast and stable. For many people one of the deciding factors is ramdisk and storage memory. These spaces can be used to install apps etc. Apps installed here will run(or at least load) faster than apps installed on storage card.

for my use,
will try the premium version on my other xda and work my way
round all the roms and see how they run for me

I've just SIM and CID unlocked my HTC Herald P4350 and now I've got the WM6 from the HardSPL method.
I've already seen other OS's like TouchIT and I liked it very much but since there a lot of them I'd like to know which one I should use or how do I choose the best ROM to flash my PDA.

Clean ROM? => Just2Clean
very clean ROM, but with some individual Programs like Opera Mini => JustME
Do you want an Opal Clone? => Try Gullums one
Do you want a clean ROM where you can install Manila on top => Open Touch 7.7 lite
you see, there are a lot of things to think about!

So, I'm 21 years old and what I'm looking in a PDA is that it works like a media center, a workstation and a GPS.
I may need to use to load some PowerPoint presentations. But more importantly I want all of this but with the most atractive look and lots of gadgets and informations on the "today" screen. i also want to play some games, see movies, listen to music, etc.

you could also look at the OPT that ttran made with the omnia theme... no power point but you can download mobile office anyhoo.

What about the TouchIT last version for the P4350? Can't find it either :x.
I'm still a bit confused by the amount of ROM's that exist and a question is still on my mind, does the ROM's for the Wing work on my normal HTC P4350? Because I've read somewhere that the Wing was the name given to the T-Mobile version and that it uses different ROM's.
Can anyone help me with this?

after tryin a lot of roms, i am lookin 4 a basic ROM with the x1 r2aa, but with none of the junk software on it. with this i am a fan of touchflo but not all of it, i like the software that comes with i.e audiobooster, volume controller, dialler etc. but after using certain roms i cant find a rom with just the basic need touchflo software. sorry i no this is just for me but i am sure there plenty people out there askin same question.
can some1 show me where to get a rom like this from.

There is so much variety out there. It really depends what you want to get from your device. Just have a look through the ROM section and pick out one with what you need.

Cheers for that yeh i been looking it seems there loads to pick from,ime just getting my head round how to flash one,i have flashed it but not the mtty way so just reading how to do it that way.. dont seem as easy maby ime missing some thing..
