Seems that 21925 is way more recent than 23004. What about 23007? Does the latest build 23007 also have those UI improvements?

No it does not, only the 219XX releases have them.
Yes, it does have some of them.
Sweep your finger over the wm tabs (like you do for manilla) and WM will react on it by changing the tab.
Tried with 23007

That's worked with every 6.5 build for months...
Lol the 219 blah blah ones look completely different. the tabs have a little part up the top that have arrows for left and right. The 23*** ones do not have this, they still maintain the old school **** tabs, they have implemented the swipe thing but still sucks. This new 219**method looks MUCH better!

I just flashed my T-Mobile MDA Compact IV with the original Dutch HTC ROM. Everything is working perfectly except for one thing: I no longer have horizontal scrolling in TouchFlo. I mean, if I want to go from the clock to contacts, and I swipe my finger horizontally, it moves to contacts instantly instead of scrolling.
I already tried to disable/enable scrolling using Advanced Config, but that didn't help. Am I missing a settings somewhere?
This feature was removed with the change to 1.93.x.x Roms to speed things up in the interface. Trading off Eye Candy vs Speed. You cannot get it back short of switching to and older Rom like 1.37.x.x which was the vintage my unit shipped with.
(First of all, thank you for your answer.)
Too bad. Where can I find what the differences are between 1.93.x.x and 1.37.x.x?
if you cant live without those animations i suggest Swtos new 0.98 ROM with Touch FLO 3D 1.0. its fast as hell too!

It's not that I can't live without it, it's just that I really liked it... Weird though that they didn't make switching it back on an option.
Look into this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421434
You can install tlr-manila.cab to enable it.
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I had tried that already but not only will that give me back the scrolling effects, but the slowness as well.
I have horizontal scrolling with SwiftBL v6 1.93 ROM.
EDIT: Oh, you mean the animated horizontal scrolling, yeh thats gone but it feels faster without it.
this is really funny...
i've upgraded to rom ver 1.93 since day one of launch and still have the horizontal scrolling between tabs in manila....
been reading so many threads about the disabled scrolling, really wonder why...
even my wife's TD retained the scrolling effect after upgrade
and i've not tweaked both TDs after the rom upgrading
I hope HTC'll make an option available to enable/disable graphic effects in a next room (it'd be the same thing Sony Ericsson did with P900 to speed up the symbian OS).
Yes, It' true, now it's much faster, but I loved those stupid effects ...
---
Wait. I still can move through the screens sliding the tab with my thumb, but I neither have sliding effect nor fade effect for blocks background. This is what I call "graphic effects".
Zippy1970, your problem is you can't move through the screens sliding the tab with your thumb, isn't it?
well
Since i have my Diamond i Flashed Swift's 6.0 ROM and the TouchFLO Side scrolling is still there and the ROM is FAAAST

But very very very nice concept, when will you be releasing kitchen/ROM?
The resolution choice works on the ui. But struggles with some of the installed apps.
Forgive me if i'm wrong but the top power button no longer turns the phone off?
Nice! A lot of space on the screen. A very nice concept release, real snappy!

not having an x1, have you gone real-vga?
1\it's cool, finally for someone manage to control windows' layout
2\it will be good to make fonts in title bar, bottom bar 130% larger, and 150% lager in system. it will also be good to make layout 120% larger both in title and bottom bars. and icons in start menu seems to be quite big, is it has something to do with the contrast to the surroundings? some sort of layouts seems to be forced controlled its resolution, and it became quite smaller than usual, eg: welcome settings.
3\rom is really fast, and quite amazing smooth in both today and start menu scrolling.
4\making phone call is available, but i think this rom is just a demostration of the new layout. it should be tweaked in further developing since it's too small for x1's small screen. any way, it's cool.

bet ur missing ur x1 now!!!!
sorry for spaming but i couldn help it
it is nice, if this stuff goes into a kitchen i think some very nice roms would come from it. this is what i see:
wm6.5 (only, no SE or other companies stuff)
hi res (looks nice but makes text too small)
very fast (but this may be because there is no other stuff added)
some bugs (bits missing, link turning the phone off, link to hardware keys etc)
but overall a nice concept and i think u should but a kitchen up with the bones of this concept and the the chefs do what they do best, cook something special up
in all honesty if it is realvga it could be done quickly and easily with a cab..
96 or 128 jerpelea?
spot the athena owner
I did try it when I got my x1 (as have a couple of others if I remember well), 96 was too small for me. 128 was workable but not all the resources were there.. I'm guessing that they are all there in the new SDK. After all that's where the original idea came from many many moons ago... lol

Why should something being fixed as long as it's not broken?
The HTC Leo has no landscape mode because it has no keyboard, that is.
All that could be done would be a workaround to switch to the "old" 2.1 landscape or simply show a quickmenu to select an application to open, but I guess that would be slow because it has to implemented as add-on because it's not part of TF3D2.5.
By the way, why do you mind? All apps, EMail and SMS work in landscape and the TF3D surface is hard to use in landscape anyway.
The main problem with TF3D2.5 is that it is still slow (Messaging, Music Library). Maybe it won't get any faster on TP2 because the Leo has a faster CPU.
RE
Now i understand the Prop, thanks a lot......still waiting for the official release by HTC, it can't be so long....
Have a nice WE

CyanogenMod 6 Kaiser [RLS5.1] - RC2 based, odex:ed build [6.8.2010]
This release is based on CyanogenMod 6 RC2, modified to be Kaiser & Polaris friendly (and hopefully Vogue too). Parts of other releases, mostly dzo's Fresh Froyo are also used.
What's new:
RLS5.1:
- Completely re-done release, based on CyanogenMod 6 RC2 FRF91
- System completely odex:ed (thanks kallt_kaffe for all your help with this)
- Google Apps FRF91 MDPI
- Wifi tethering - courtesy of urban69 and kallt_kaffe.
- Removed most of the "bonus" apps except Astro File Manager, due to /system size limit. To get YR Weather Widget, Brut Maps, Linpack or Nexusrevamped Live Walpaper dowload the AppPack.zip here, unzip the files to your SD card and install via Astro..
- Experimental libhtcgeneric-ril.so to enable 2G/3G switching (again all credits to kallt_kaffe) included. The enable/disable "2G mode only" switch in settings now works!!
For best performance enable compcache in Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Performance. If you want to squeeze even more out of it disable dithering, also in Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Performance.
Download RLS5.1: Mediafire, FileFactory or Megaupload!
Update RLS5.2
-New version of experimental libhtcgeneric-ril.so to enable 2G/3G switching (again all credits to kallt_kaffe) included
RLS5 and RLS5.1 can be updated to RLS5.2 via update attached below: rls5_rls5-2_update.zip.
What works:
Everything should be working as in other Froyo builds. But I may have missed someting - if so, please report!
- Phone: calls, SMS, standard stuff..
- Camera
- BT & BT audio
- Wifi
- Email
- MMS
- Exchange sync, Google sync
- Market
- GPS & Wireless (WiFi or Data) location
- JIT
- Compacache
- et cetera..
More here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732040
Please report! Thanks!
Looks pretty good. Everything works, using latest DZO kernel, rogue tools running at 520/120, Full Market.
Only thing I noticed is that this port doesn't feel as responsive as other Froyo builds or kallt_kaffe VaniljEclair but still a very nice build -

Incubus' DarkStar Theme
looks just like the one in his super froyo thread
since this is a cyanogen mod release you can adjust the color of the notifications in the ticker so that they dont appear black on black same with the clock on the status bar. Everything else works i have been using it on my touch in active for a while
again this is NOT MY WORK, all credit goes to incubus

milanche,
A non-odexed would be great. Hopefully you and incubus26jc could work this out. I really love the CyanogenMod6 settings.
It's interesting to notice no backwards text when turning on the phone after a sleep, just a little arrow on the top left corner.
I have a vogue and on bell and everything works (except what we don't have, accelerometer, trackball, etc.), great team work!

I want to change my WM 6.1.
any suggestions?
Hi,
I am a new X1 user and tried just few ROMs, and can tell you Energy ROM is nice, feature packed, HTC Sense stuff and so on, more finger friendly. Not the fastest though. I'll stay with 21916 version now. 29022 is a bit better and more finger friendly but damn slow unfortunately! Panels in these are removed but not needed actually.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562935
Vision rom seems fast but you don't have much there from the start, mainly some ****ty panels
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=626224
Those are WM 6.5 based.
Maybe someone will suggest some alternatives I'm looking for fast, functional and finger-friendly ROM (including task manager)
I suggest 826x series... fast, stable, touch-friendly, manila (sense) 2.5, and everything you need

Confirmed! Better than Energy's rom, mainly faster and easy task manager access (on Xpanel button). Only the camera and dialler parts are worse (in energy you have choice between xperia and htc camera soft, here is only htc)
Currently I'm checking if I can install these two manually
there is also xperia camera... just press the shutter button for 1 second...
and the dialer is faster than the stock one... (at least for me is)

It seems it is but I have a problem with the hardware button lol
the dialer may be faster but no division with incoming/outgoing calls sucks a bit
you can install the other dialer to replace

I know, I run it from there Pity when you go back home screen the camera shuts down completely so it's not there in memory accessible by task manager as the HTC one is
