Not sure how to copy messages to the sim card, but those cards don't hold many messages anyway. Why don't you back up your messages to the computer, much easier and bigger storage. I think Jeyo Mobile Companion lets you do that from memory.
I don't think there is a way to save ur sms back into ur sim but there is a way to backup ur sms's on a regular basis using PIMBackup if u search this forum u'll get the file as it is quite popular....
Sorry for the newb question. I just got this phone and have never used a Windows Mobile device before. Searching didn't help me.
The messages I receive keep saving to the SIM card and then I can't receive anything after 17 messages (my card's limit). Is there any way I can use the devices 4GB to store SMS?
I have the GSM unlocked version.
Thanks.
I thought the default was to save to Internal Storage and you have to option to save to SIM if you chose(?) I say that because I've had over 2000 messages stored on my Diamond.
I've got 52 messages store on my phone and I'm sure they're saved on the internal storage as I don't have much space left on the device memory.
Messages are stored on the device memory by default. As each message is only a maximum of 255 bytes, you will not use all of your device memory on it. (2000 messages = 512k)

Yeah, my bad, I actually meant to say they seem to save to the device memory and not SIM card memory by default on my phone.
Does anyone know where contact information, more specifically, contact icon/pictures are stored in the system?
Sd card **** itself, but ome of the pictures that were lost were assigned to contacts, the phone is still getting those picture files from some where because they are still being displayed. Id like to recover what I can from the contact info.
Also, on a sidenote. Any suggestions on a good file recovery programs/services would be nice. Lots of memories on that stupid little piece of sd card.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I have some important messages on my SIM card and I am using a Nexus 6 device. Can anyone please tell me the procedure to copy those messages from the SIM card to phone?

You could try Carbonite's SMS Backup & Restore. I don't know if it will suit your purpose, but it's worth a try. There is also an add-on which automatically backs up to Google Drive and Dropbox. It worked perfectly for me, though I now don't use it because I have no texts that I want to keep.
