How to bind screen rotation to back key? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi!
How can I configure screen rotation that it does not use the g sensor but rotates the screen into landscape and back when I press the physical "back"-button?
Thanks.

Change rotate screen?

I put the rotate screen in my launcher so I can goto landscape without opening the keyboard for GPS, pics, etc. It rotates the screen 90 degrees right when holding the device upright making it upside down to the keyboard. How can I make it rotate the other way so I can access the keyboard if I want without rotating the device 180 degrees?
first go in settings/screen and set it to the landscape mode you want, then exit, get back in there and set it portrait. this way it remembers the landscape mode you want and when calling rotate screen it will rotate ok
GL&HF
I tried that just now and it still reverts to "Left-Handed" mode when I click rotate screen.
i think the rotate program you use tells the kaiser the landscape mode to use.
try to assign rotate to a hardware button(the default rotate in WM), and that should work (i use hold voice button)

[Q] Home screen rotate to landscape

Is there an app or hack that will allow the home screen to be rotated to landscape mode?
TIA!
Nope. Touchwiz doesn't allows rotation. You can install LanucherPro or other home launcher for rotation support, but there's no way to do this in TW launcher.

Home screen did not rotate

Is it possible to set the home screen to rotate? I use the original rom and with "rotate screen" - ON , but the home screen did not rotate.
Currently on stock firmware there isnt a function to make the the home interface rotate. A dev could possibly make a mod, but development is slow. one other thing you can try is try another home launcher.
It does rotate when using the docking station though, so the functionality is already there. Just the lockscreen does not rotate.
Thanks for the replies. I have the phone for one day and still learning what to do and to setup.

I think also the lockscreen will be easily able to rotate, with the pincode turned and screen locked try to take a picture, the press manual mode, it will ask for the pin, for ~2s the lockscreen is perfectly aligned in horizontal then it rotates.
I don't get why Sony should prevent homescreen and lockscreen to rotate when seems they are both built to do that.
try "Screen Rotation Steuerung" App -> set to auto -> voila you have rotation Homescreen! (Damn not ootb)

Screen off app

Hello!
My cousin has bought a brand new Sony XZ3.
She was used to use a screen off app. Simply press and the screen go off.
Now is not possible to use, because when the screen goes off, at the next screen on the fingerprint doesn't work, is required to insert the pin code.
It is an Android 9 limitation or is there an app that can screen off and use fingerprint at next screen on?
Thank you
If you install nova launcher, you can configure it so that with a double touch on the screen, it turns off and then you can turn it on with the fingerprint.

You can use Fluid Navigation Gestures and map one of the gesture to a "turn off lock screen" action as Nova as mentioned above will only achieve that from the home screen as opposed from anywhere with FNG ?

Portrait mode orientation

Hi, got my T5 recently and met with some strange and annoying problems with regards to orientation/rotation with apps such as Tradingview and Investing.com, which somehow insists the bottom side of the portrait mode be the side where the power button is located. Though I doubt the problem is with the apps. Anyone saw the same and have any solution/suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Homescreen rotation stuck on portrait mode.
Had a problem with the homescreen which stuck at portrait mode even the auto-rotate function was turned on (blue in task bar and on in screen settings). Was really annoying, suddenly all other apps rotate but not the home screen ?
Found out there is a dedicated setting for the home screen, hold your finger on the homescreen background for a couple of seconds and the screen will give you access to widgets, wallpapers and a setting button which leads to another homescreen setting which also have a auto-rotate switch. That was somehow turned off in my case. After switching it back on it works again. Apps and Homescreen rotation fixed.
