Hi,
I searched the forum but could not find an answer:
How can one use MS Office 2007 Outlook's phone dialer
to initiate a call on the Kaiser.
Thank you very much.
Regards
V
I don't know how to do it directly from Outlook desktop. But if you download "My Mobile" from http://www.mymobiler.com, you will be able to use your activesync connected WinMobile phone directly using your computer mouse an keyboard.
I use it to initiate calls from my kaiser simply typing in outlook mobile contacts the name, or pasting a numer from my desktop computer.
Ciao
Thanks, but I am looking for a solution which works directly from within outlook on the PC desktop

I've found this Bluetooth dialer
http://blueshareware.com/bluetooth_pc_dialer.asp
- A phone call is never more then one click away independent of where the number is located
- Stand alone application as well as integrated in Outlook
- Support all Bluetooth PC stacks and most Bluetooth phones
- Direct out of the box support for the Microsoft and Widcomm/Broadcom Bluetooth stacks
Bluetooth PC Dialer is both a stand-alone application and a Bluetooth Outlook plug in. This means that you can access call directly from within Outlook with a single click!
With Bluetooth PC Dialer you have the following call options:
* Copy a number to clipboard (Ctrl-C) and press the call short key combination (Ctrl-Shift-D)
* Call any number from the Bluetooth PC Dialer application
* In Outlook call from a highlighted email - Bluetooth PC Dialer finds the Contact that matches the senders e-mail address
* In Outlook call from a highlighted Contact
* In Outlook call from an opened Contact
* In Outlook call any number that you chose
Bluetooth PC Dialer can be operated completely via fast keys without the need of the mice, and it have same call related functionality as the phone!
To use Bluetooth PC Dialer you need a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and a Bluetooth PC solution. Bluetooth PC Dialer accesses your Bluetooth stack directly so there is no need for setting up Bluetooth COM ports (Widcomm and Microsoft stack). The program supports most Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and all PC solutions!
No Bluetooth on the PC no problem! During start-up Bluetooth PC Dialer detects this and you access the phone via a COM port.

Thanks for the hint!
I tried the software, but it does not recognize my Kaiser, even though Toshiba Bluetooth Stack does for Dial Up Networking and Active Sync.
Strange...
Thanks

My car bluetooth system doesn't automaticly import my contacts so I have to do it selecting them one by one and transfering them by bluetooth. Impossible to do (I have more than 300). Does anybody nows a program with you can select all the contacts at the same time and send them by bluetooth?
Thanks
im thinking about getting a ford with sync... is that what you are talking about/having this issue with???
HTC TyTN II can't automaticly send contacts to my car bluetooth hands free system but it lets you sending contacts from the pda to the car by bluetooth. The problem is that with the wm6 contact program you can't select all your contacts at the same time so that you can transfer all of them to the car, it only lets you select one contact and tranfer it to the hands free. I have about 300 cpontacts on my pda and It takes a wild to trnafer only one, that's why I need a program to transfer all my contacts at the same time.
First question really is - would you really want 300 contacts in your car in the first place? Makes navigating through your list a nightmare. Have a look at jetware, put a subset of your contacts into a car category using outlook and get jetware to send that.

Anyone knows if there a way to send a SMS writed on my PC with my Kaiser linked to the PC with Bluetooth ?
Which software should I use ?
This may not be exactly what your looking for, but I operate my phone via my desktop with this app>>
http://www.mymobiler.com/
I compose SMS quite often from the desktop with it. I imagine if you have a bluetooth connection setup with Activesync it should work.
What a gr8 app ....
Hi, is there a way to manage SMS' on my PC?? I'm still not that quick on the on screen keyboard so it would be good to be able to type and send SMS' directly from my PC screen (including being able to use my contacts book) when my diamond is connected via bluetooth. Mobile device centre seems to lack this function.. I could do it on my old sony-ericsson, so I'm sure there must be a program somewhere to do it with my diamond!
Thanks.
With the little software MyMobiler (freeware), it's possible to view the real screen of your PPC and with the mouse and the keyboard of computer command every action in real time on your PDA.
Edit, cut, paste, read sms, launch program ecc.
every command on your Pc is in real time on your PDA
they need is the connection with ActiveSync

note that there're much more convenient (albeit commercial) solutions for this; see for example Jeyo Mobile Companion and its alternatives. see my dedicated articles.
I've been using the Jeyo Mobile Extender for years and am very satisfied with it. It makes it's own PST file in Outlook and has access to the outlook address book
Hi,
I can't find it using the search function, but is there a way to sync the contacts to my carkit, keeping one name with several different numbers (home, mobile, work)?
Now I get multiple entries:
John/work
John/home
John/mobile
Parrot 6100
I have a parrot 6100 in both of my cars and the contacts sync fine. One name: 3 numbers. Do you have your device allowing sim access to the parrot?
Sorry for the late respons.
Where can you change the setting if you want to allow sim access from the parrot? I can't find this feature.
yes you can do this you need windows mobile 6.1 and parrot firmware 4.17a or above.
then first time you connect the phone it will ask if it can have access to your address book just say yes and from then on all will be fine.
only problem i have is it tries to sync the call log every time
Thanks
Paul

Hmmmm, which WM6.1 ROM are you running? I'm on the AT&T official 6.1 on the Tilt and my Parrot CK3100 has 4.18a and I don't get the PBAP phone book sync - I get the Name/H and Name/W entries still.

Greetings,
My old eTen x500 had a feature I kind of miss. I could assign a button to Recorder and as long as I held the button it would record a voice note. Then when I would connect to the PC via active sync, the recordings would show up as Outlook Notes where I could quickly review and delete them.
I know that HTC has it's own recorder, but it does not work by holding a button, I cannot assign it to a button in the same way, and the recordings do not sync with Outlook.
Is anyone aware of a way to get the functionality back. It was native to 6.1 not an eTen app.
I am running 6.5.
Thanks for any advice.

Hmm, for alternatives, try vito recorder or resco recorder. I'm not sure if either of these sync to outlook. But I do believe the filename is matched up with the date etc. Thenn you could set it up to always save the files in your my documents folder as mp3s and when you do sync to your computer as long as you told activesync to sync up the folder then it will automatically copy that file to your computer w/each sync.
Thanks for the reply. I have Resco Audio Recorder. I did not think about putting it in a sync'd folder. That may be a good work around.
