Since installing the newest CyanogenMod, my browser hasn't been working. It does it for a few other apps too, but uninstalling the app, then reinstalling it makes it work fine. But you can't reinstall the built in apps. So I was wondering if there was a site I could download the browser.apk directly, and just push it to my phone.

You could also try reflashing the ROM altogether and see if that fixes some of your issues. It doesn't seem like this is an issue with other people on the forum so you might want to try a reflash.

Use any option it gives you to uninstall the app, then reinstall it.
Similar issue.
I am having a similar issue.
I installed Toggle Settings (Donut) on my G1 (CM 4.2.5 I'm not using apps2SD) and then decided to uninstall it. Now when I go to the market and my downloads it shows that I have Toggle settings installed. The problem is that I don't and it gives me no options to do anything (open and uninstall are grayed out). Other apps install and uninstall normally with the market updating their status correctly. I don't know what to do to correct this. If you know how to remedy this, please help me.
I apologize if this is an inappropriate place to post this but I serched and this was the closest topic to my problem that I found.
Try finding it in the app-private folder or if its in any of yours apps as a .zip file. If so, back it up and delete it from the phone. see if that resolves the issue. if not try deleting the market cache

Thanks for replying... It's not in any of my other apps and I've tried deleting the market cache (and deleting the market cache and power cycling the phone) and that isn't working. Where is (or should be) the app-private folder? I'm not finding that folder.
I'm starting to feel like my only hope is an update being put out for the app and then hopefully I can download that and go from there.

app-private should be in the same folder as app
Had a similar problem
I wiped my phone and did a frech Cyan 4.2.5 install to help clear a problem with Gmail. I used backup for root users to get all my apps back, but it left a couple out - leaving me in the same situation you guys are in - can't install/uninstall from the market as the buttons are greyed out, but it's not actually on your phone.
i eventually stumbled over a solution of sorts when i reverted back to a themeless 4.2.5 - for me flashing the update again sorted out my market data and allowed me to install the missing apps again. either that, or go into a nandroided backup, extract the apks and manually push them to your current setup - buttons are magically no longer greyed out.
Thanks guys.
Thanks for your guys assistance.
I found another solution that worked. I had one of my coworkers download Astro File browser and then the Toggle settings app. I just backed up his toggle settings with the built in apps manager in Astro and then put his memory card in my phone and restored toggle settings with Astro. Then I went to the market and uninstalled toggle settings through the market and bingo no more ghost of Toggle settings problem. Thanks again for your assistance.
I have a nook color running froyo on the internal memory, and cannot download apps from the market. I tried reinstalling and signing in to goggle through talk, re pushing the market apk and google services apk, clearing the cache and data for both apps, and reinstalling. Still no luck, although im trying market enabler now. Any ideas?
same problem here. a fix would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried either of these methods:

None of those methods worked, and the market enabler didn't either

I'm having the same problems with the same version of 2.2. Never had any problems with the older versions I tried.
I have tried lots and lots of things. I usualy get it to work for maybe 1 download after after I uninstall one app, once it worked after I moved all the apps I had on the sd card to the internal memory. Sometimes I got it to work by canceling the google talk login.
The fact remains the latest 2.2 version is broken somehow.
I'm having the same problem.
Edit: I found a solution to my problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11545846&postcount=400
"To fix market download problems I force stopped Market, cleared its cache and data. Did the same for Google Framework Services. Then in ROM Manager I fixed permissions, rebooted to recovery. In recovery I formatted cache. I got the four unable to mount cache messages that others reported, but the Market works."
Did you accidently/purposely delete any of the Gtalk, Talk, or TalkProvider apks? If so then you'll need to go back to stock and re-root. If not, then start up the Google Talk app, login if not already, then logout, then login again.

I've tried CM7, HoneyComb v4 eMMC-2nd Edition, NookieFroyo 0.68.3, PhireMod v4 - WTF!?
I've downloaded .apk's, etc. NOTHING! What the hell is it going to take to get YouTube working?
I'm running Nookie-FroYo 0.68.3 and has no problem with YouTube app or website.

If I use that ROM, I can't install YouTube from the Market. It just says "installation was unsuccessfull".
Fix your Market first:
1. Clear data in Google Services Framework then force stop.
2. Clear cache in Market then force stop.
3. Fix permissions using ROM Manager.
4. Reboot into recovery using ROM Manager and clear cache.
5. Reboot.
Hopefully that would fix your market app and let you download YouTube.
If you cannot fix the market, think about using Aptoide or Aptor apk, which are market alternatives, you can find some un-official apps there.

YOU CRAFTY BASTARD!! Why haven't I seen this somewhere else? I've been pulling my hair out for DAYS! Trying every ROM, waiting up nights for CM7 nightlies - to no avail!
It installs and works fine now that I've done this. If I wasn't straight, I'd kiss you!
Hi,
Yesterday and today I bought some of the apps that were on sale. The problem is, I cannot install them, because after the play downloads them, it says "package file is invalid".
I googled the problem, tried to do what other people recommended to do - wipe cache/dalvik, FC the play store/google services framework and clear data and reboot, nothing worked. I even uninstalled a few big apps (Chrome, Ashpalt, etc) and it didn't work.
I should mention:
1. Free apps are working fine
2. I have a modded play store since I'm currently on a 210 DPI. That means the play store thinks my DPI is 240.
I'm using a rom based on CM10 nightly 23.9.
I hope you can help me,
Thanks!
Use file manager and navigate the root directory which in system/app and look up the one called odex file something like that,Delete it and try install the app again.
That's what I thought to, but I didn't find any odex files in there. Any other suggestions?
have you try to clear the market cache?
Of course, I wrote it down in the first post.
Also tried to remove my google account from the device and then re-adding it.
Oh sorry mate..My bad,Well i did facing this experience once cuz on that time i do upgrading my phone to ics rom,After clearing my cache and some other thing,I notice that the file were in my system/app was the fact that distracting me from installing apps in play store.
Thanks anyway
Does anyone else has an idea?

If I recall correctly, everything started after an update for Facebook Messenger. First only chat heads worked and if I opened the app itself it would just crash. In the beginning I could open the app after reinstalling it and at least login to my account so chat head would work, and now I can't even open the app as it just crashes a few seconds after I open it.
Youtube at first didn't want to play videos - I could open the app but if I tried to open a video it would just crash. Now I can't even open the app, when I press on the icon nothing happens.
I tried wiping data and cache for the apps in the settings, I tried reinstalling the apps and I tried wiping Dalvik and cache in recovery - nothing helped.
I am running 7.1.1. and OOS 4.1.3. rooted with Magisk.
Any help would be appreciated.
