Mail.apk from Rogers ROM - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone!
I am wondering if anyone has the Mail.apk from the original Rogers ROM. That is not the same as the one in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536727
The original one has an interface for Exchange and Other Email accounts all under one application, while the one from the thread only allows Exchange accounts.
Thanks!

Mail Client, which ROM

I am using Ev1ls 1.26 rom on Nexus One, had been using CM but moved for one reason. I need 'search' or at least order by (sender etc) in the Email client (not Gmail) as I am a heavy Exchange user.
Does anybody know what other ROM's have this in the default Email client or is it a feature of the HTC Sense email only right now?
I know I can add from Market TouchDown or equivalent but would rather not,
Thanks

[Q] Exchage folders problem - change email apk

Hi guys,
Moving from WM to android is creating me more problems than expected
Apologies if I make a few noob questions.
I got a Galaxy tab, and everything works fine expect the email apk which is not able to show the folders of my corporate email account. I've seen that this problem affect other people/devices, but couldn't find a working solution.
Funny enough, I got my old Blackstone running XDAndroid working fine with the same exchange account and showing all my email folders and sub folders.
I've seen the $20 touchdown, but I'd prefer a native solution, so my questions are:
- Understand that after rooting I'll be able to replace the Samsung mail apk. What would be the procedure?
- I would like try the email apk from the XDAndroid. do you see any limitation for this apk to work on the tab.
- is it possible to get the HTC mail apk (sense) working in the Tab? does someone have a working apk?
- Any other solution to show the exchange email folders into our Tab?
Thanks in advance
Funny, i had same idea with HTC Mail.apk but found nothing on web.
So anybody want to port HTC Mail to Galaxy Tab?
~ from Tab using XDA App. ~
HTC's email.apk needs sense, and would be nearly impossible to port it without using a sense rom as a base.
Exchange(2007 SP2) and subfolders works great though on my tab.
Also i've noticed that there are some differences between my stock rom and overcome, so you could try that.

hi YoMark,
Can you pls let me know which Email version are you running? (just go to aplication/manage applications/all/Email.
Mine is version 2.2 and it is not showing the exchange folders/subfolders (exchange 2007)
I also have the email 2.2 apk and while mails and folders load fine, it takes ages (1 min at least) on startup and any switch and email apk is prone to force close (especially when switching between mails or switching to another app)
I reported this months ago, but no solution has been found yet... Only thing I hate about the tab, as I have 0 productivity with Emails

Click to collapse
I am in the same boat, it's not showing any folders (Exch 2003). Anyone found a fix for this?

Adding missing Email and Exchange

I've noticed that some roms don't come with stock Email or Corporate Email support. I've seen this on several roms - but most recently with RemICS-UX 1.3.1.
For email, I tried copying the email.apk from another ROM and running it. It ran fine, but I still don't see the stock email app.
FOr Corporate Email - I ran the exchange.apk. However, when I try to add an account, I only get the Google option.
Any help is appreciated. Unfortunately I don't see a support thread for RemICS and I was not able to post in the Dev section.

[Q] Stock HTC email or Touchdown for Exchnage?

All,
I'm about to get my HTC ONE Dev Edition in a couple of days...and thinking about what email app I should use for my work Exchange emails. I've used Touchdown in the past and its ok, UI is kinda old and only reason I stuck with it is that it allows for me to view emails in "ALL Folders".
How is your experience with the HTC stock email app for Exchange? Does it allow for me to view all emails in all folders? How does it compare to Touchdown?
Thanks!

[Q] htc exchange email client

Hi,
Im searching for an original HTC e-mail client with working exchange.
My ROM is TBD v 3.7
The default installed HTC e-mail client don't work with exchange but with pop3 or hotmail.
If I install another email client from the market like moxier mail, the exchange works perfekt.
Is its possible to replace the htc e-mail client with one from another ROM?
I've tried it with the e-mail client from the htc sensation. The apk works but the exchange function not.
Maybe i must replace something else?
Sorry for my bad englisch^^
