Thanks

Only one way, Don't install unnecessary apps like widgets, battery saver, antivirus softwares. and if possible use custom debloated ROM (caution :it'll void warranty).
I think we can get our warranty back by resetting the binary counter and flashing your country's FW again and unroot.
Thank you

Thank you Mr. Harsh for your advice. As you said i also agree with you that installing many apps, widgets, antivirus softwares makes smartphone to lag. But what if i want to install more apps and still i can be in a smoother condition?

If you're playing games on your phone, moving them to sd will make them lag. Not faster. You can limit background process though for better multitask if you're having lags and not wanting to root.
Hope this helps.

And i recommend not to install launchers.. especially 3D launchers...they consume huge amt of RAM fir a continous period. which might affect performance of heavy games..

Moving app to SD card will only increase loading time.It won't give increase performance.
In addition, you can try not to install many chat apps (ie: viber, line, wechat etc..) cause all of this always running in background consuming ram space and battery. Just whatsapp is enough. Well good enough for me though.
Thank you

But there're no debloated stock roms, only some customs with heavy theming.
Correct me, if I'm mistaken.
or you can root and de-bloat it yoursel, then un-root if you really want to keep it stock only.
Debloat by yourself mean to unninstall the apps that you dont need.
For example, i have only 98 apps from over 160 apps who came stock ROM.
Its only your choice what applications choose to erase from stock.
You have a guide in my signature with debloating ROM safe.

the phone is good and a great value for money after the recent price drop...
all games run quite nice with occasional lag and hiccups and thats due to lesser ram in the phone...if you are heavily inclined towards playing high end games i would suggest you to not go for this one buy a phone with atleast 1gb ram...
and one more disadvantage (not for everyone though) is that this phone is not really developer friendly and apple of every developer's eye out there due to chipset...
see for your priorities and make the decision..:good:

On jellybean with everything stock, it's likely that they will lag.
But dude read! This thread is not for buying advice! You can do enough research about this phone's performance if you would just search the forum.

[Q] what is the best free backup programme to use?

Hi guys, i wanna perform a downgrade back to jellybean because kit kat really gets on my nerves for multiple reasons..
The reason i have not done this yet is purely because i dont want to lose anything i have on my phone, basically I'm looking for a backup programme which backs up absolutely everything i have on my internal storage, including 3rd party apps I've installed and set up, downloaded videos which are stored within apps and everything else pretty much THEN once I have performed the downgrade, to be able to just restore the backup and have my phone identical to how it is now only with jellybean instead of kitkat. Is this possible? Cheers in advance.
Titanium Backup is Good but sometimes gives errors.. I personally use Super Backup Pro it never fails very good for App and other items backup and restore
Sent from my Xperia Z1 using Tapatalk
For apps titanium for pics, mega, 50GB for free, never runs out like dropbox will.
If you're going to get titanium, pay for the pro version, you'll thank me later when you're restoring your apps.
Ok cheers guys, i will look into them all.

This! Especially when switching ROMs often, you will find the added features from the pro version helpful.
I was greatful for being able to restore the device ID so apps would just work like before.

Very true, using the non pro version will work but it's a mundane task to have to allow and then install each and every app one after another, very useful if you plan on testing different roms with your apps, the automated process is so much quicker and it'll save you time.
Half way through installing 300+ apps you'll be thinking of that pro key.
Plus the do deserve your cash, amazing app titanium.
When looking into these backup apps including titanium it says I need to be rooted to use the features i want. I'm not rooted and dont really plan to be. It's a shame really because i moved over to android so i had more freedom and control over my device and at first I had as much control as i needed with jellybean (more is better obviously) but the kitkat update pretty much made every sd enabled phone into a poor device. Plus I find the wifi range is really bad on kitkat but jellybean had so much better range. My point is that it's annoying that i should have to root my phone to make it as i want it and be able to toy with the settings when really it should already either have these features or be better optimised. Now I'm wondering if i should just root my phone rather than downgrading it? If i root it can i tweak the wifi range? And can I allow my apps to have better access to my sd card? Also if i upgrade to 4.4.4 can i still root the phone after? Cheers
If you root, it is easier to do on 4.4.4, and you can fix the sd card issue.

Fantastic help from you guys, much appreciated. It's good to actually be on a forum without morons! Lol
Ok so im now possibly leaning toward the rooting route.. Would you advise getting it done by someone in a shop or doing it myself? I'm pretty competent but if it's a risky process then I'd rather it be done properly! Are there any good tutorials for rooting from 4.4.4? Also does rooting wipe the phone memory? Cheers
And any app recommendations for rooted phones that allow me to sort out the sd access problems, also apps that allow me to tinker with my wifi range etc.. Just any good full customisation apps really so i can really get this phone as it should be!

Ok so just to be sure.. My phone is totally standard running standard 4.4.4, all I have to do is download and run the tool and my phone is rooted? I don't have to make any mods to my phone first to prepare for it?
I only ask because people mention locked and unlocked boot loaders, i dont know what they are! Or the difference between them.
Sorry for being a pain!
No, just download newroot, run it, then you are rooted and have recovery.

DeBloat your tab S (with or without root!!!!)

This tool will allow you to remove the Bloatware from your tab S, it works if your rooted or not. I have used this tool on my Verizon note 4 and my Verizon tab S without problem. THIS IS NOT MY WORK! the developer is "gatesjunior" here on XDA, please thank him if you use it.http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294
What about knix? Is it safe?
No it does not trip knox, since it is only Disabling the app not removing it. You can also use it to disable updates and knox itself.

Oh it is disabling apps? So it isn't debloating since no apps are being removed from the device. we can freeze/disable apps through the app manager...
You cannot disable some apps. Using the app. Manager, such as Samsung apps. And some verizon apps. You cannot disabled Knox using the app. Manager. You can with this tool, that is why we are so lucky to have devs. Like gatesjunior.

Oh that's good to know, thanks for sharing it mate.
Would be awesome to know what each app does and if it's safe to freeze. There are so many apk's that show up on the list.
I know many are safe to freeze, but it might hinder some other process.
Just do what I did, I froze the same ones that I froze on my note 4, then the ones that were in question I just disabled one at a time using my tablet for a while to make sure nothing was screwy. Like I said you can always do a factory reset to set everything back to the defaults in case you Bork it, it's pretty much foolproof. That being said please no one prove me wrong! Lol!

I love this program
I had to unroot my device because some apps did not run. Now, with the use of debloater (and the above link) I can do what I basicly did with Titanium BU.

Some apps can't be removed without root, but you can freeze them so that they cannot use system resources.

Will disabling apps help with battery life? I don't have much problem with lag but I would like to extend batter life
In theory, it should. what I mean is disabling an app that you never used will do nothing for battery, but if you disable say, a Samsung app such as Knox or a Samsung app updater, keeping it from using system resources you should see improvement . The problem with comparing battery stats is you would have to use your tablet in the same area using the same apps for the same amount of time every day. That's why you see some user's of custom Roms saying battery life sucks while others say that it's great, apple's to apple's and so on .

Ok I just wanted to say that this tool is really worth it if you don't want to root (lost of warranty). It is possible to disable a lot of crap, hence more free RAM. I froze more than 100 so called apps and my RAM is around 1.2GB with 0 active applications. I also froze all the apps related to knox and I do feel the tablet is faster. It did not trip Knox.
Actually I wonder if it might be a way to bypass Knox to root, install a custom recovery and so on... If someone wants to root his tablet anyway (no care about the warranty), it would be great to try to freeze Knox first to see if it works. I'm sure it would help the community a lot !

So far to the best of my knowledge reading about Knox on other devices, you cannot root with blowing the efuse (Knox). It's irreversible once blown.
Hi ! Did anyone try this tool with the new update 5.0.2 ? My tablet runs very smoothly when disabling all that bloatware and I don't want to be stuck on Lollipop with that crap.
OK so I did the test and it doesn't work anymore with lollipop. But the developer is working on an update

BetterBatteryStats for Galaxy Note 8 (One Ui V.1.0 - Non root)

I'm new here and this is my first post. So Hi there everyone.
I discovered XDA fairly recently and I quickly realised that it's a great place to learn everything Android and joined up.
I did search the forum before starting a new thread but didn't find my question. But I am hopeless with keywords so I apologise if my following questions have been answered many times already.
I would like an app which will display as much battery usage Information as possible. I'm using a non-root Galaxy Note 8 running One Ui v1.0
I am aware that options are limited for non-routed devices but I read that BetterBatteryStats does work on non-root Note 8's running One Ui but requires ADB (something I have started to familiarise myself with). Also one review on the apps Play Store page mentioned that there's a XDA version of the app. However I'm getting the impression that the app originated from XDA anyway.
Before I even attempt to install it I'd really like to get a little advice from a trusted forum.
So if anyone here can spare the time please could you confirm...
Will BetterBatteryStats run on my non-root One Ui Note 8 correctly?
Is there anything important that I should know about that's not already in the current documentation?
Is there a 'XDA' version of the app or has it always been an XDA developed app anyway?
And finally... if BetterBatteryStats is not suitable for the Note 8 then is there an alternative you would recommend?
Many thanks in advance.

Nope everything is straight forward
I think there used to be. But now it's on the play store
You can get the XDA version through the Hockey app, and you also have GSam Battery from play store. Both are limited in output without root however.
