Copy text messages from kaiser to Iphone - Possible? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Themes and Apps

Can anyone tell me if this is possible?
I currently have a vario iii using windows mobile and I want to transfer all my text messages from it to my new Iphone...
Is this possible?
I have even tried copying some of my text messages to my SIM card and popping my old sim card in the Iphone but there doesn't appear to be an option to copy it, only an option to Copy Contacts
I currently am jailbroken so I wouldn't mind if it was a jailbreak app or not...
Thanks in advance!

Maybe if you put your Iphone on the ground and repeatedly throw War and Peace at it you'll be able to transfer a message.

Yes but the phone I am currently USING is still my KAISER

throw ur Iphone in the Toilet.

I dont think it will be compatible as it is different OS, and the way the messages are stored is probably different.
You might get more help in iphone forums!

Purchase a shotgun, double barreled sawn off if possible and whilst keeping your kaiser safe in your back pocket throw your iphone up into the air infront of you, then like the true badass you used to be annihalate said apple phone whilst it flys through mid-air, this should solve all your problems of falling to the dark side. Then go out and get a Touch Pro 2 p.s. if you do shoot an iphone out of mid-air with a sawn off, make sure to film it in high motion (300fps should do) and stick it up on youtube!

You mean there is no "app for that"
Just kidding But seriously I would love to have a device that doubles as weapon in times of war! As long as it doesn't go off in my pocket!

P.S. I wouldn't leave it in your car on a hot day, those text mesages will be the least of your problems.

You don't need working drivers for that video - it's Liverpool - they always play in slow motion anyway so no problems with camera lag
"You don't need working drivers for that video - it's Liverpool - they always play in slow motion anyway so no problems with camera lag "
LOL !!!
Nice
Interestingly that endgadget article has a post that this phone does not actually run Windows Mobile... but some sort of rip-off.
Other sites that sell the device don't state WM6 (or any version) on their features list.
Does M$ charge alot for putting WM on a device? If so that could be one reason for the low price.
Plus it only has a 30 day warranty, I believe the tilt has a 1 year(?)
More here

Uses "some sort of Windows Mobile operating system". The real one is already a buggy mess, go figure that one...LOL
I bet it will perform better than the Kaiser, and I'm not kidding (sadly).
It will probably perform better than the Kaiser because it is using a basic OS that is more like a calculator than a Windows Mobile.
So, it probably boots up in 5 seconds, switches apps in a fraction.
But it also probably doesn't have TouchFlo, PIE, or many of the other features that make the Kaiser/Tilt nice.
It is like any of the other numerous phones out there on the market (like from Verizon) that have a slide out keyboard with a proprietary OS.
This of course is assuming the statements above about it not being WM6 are true. If it indeed runs WM6 then I am sure the performance will be equivalent to the Kaiser.

What to use an extra 17" LCD for?

I was just given a newish 17" LCD (VGA) for free. I'm already using both ports on my PC, so what can I use it for? Obviously I could sell it, but I'm wondering about other uses:
- Video game console if I pickup a converter?
- Some sort of info display in my bedroom? (easy, cheap way to display headlines, current weather, etc.?)
- neat-o big ass digital picture frame?
What else? Also, does anyone have any leads on the above? What say you?
Use it as your PPC's monitor, drag it around town, woooooohooooo!!!!
Or as a door greeter:

if u can build pc make a car pc
17 is WAYY too big for a carpc, im using an 8in and thats huge considering your only 1 foot away from the screen. if i were you i would put in next to your current monitor and put ur music player and stuff like that on that screen while u use the main screen for web browsing and what not.
What I'd really love is a Chumby like device or the WidgetStation (which I don't know if it will ever come out...)
I could re-create it using a small Linux system, but it's the hardware I don't have a clue about. I envision now waking up to this display near my bed, on it are some "widgets" with weather, time, some RSS feeds, etc.
That would be sweet...
That's not a bad idea ChaOConnor. I like having everything right there when I wake up also.

When I google for idial pocketpc I don't get much; only this version for smartphone. Don't know what it does though. You could try it.
Also when searching the forum I found someone else asking for it
have you used forum search and google before you asked this?
i have searched the google.. but i didn't searched the forum.. sorry.. is there any possibilities? cause i feel kinda dissapointed of my x1.. no bb connect, no updates/upgrades from the sony.. unlike iphone and bb
I must admit that looks cool!!!
IMHO it's horrible and inuseful.
it looks cool, sounds like a great idea, but ends up pants.
Why? well we went to touch dialers for a reason, or several... How many rotary house phones get sold?
can you imagine trying to use a rotary to get through an automated dialer?
"Please enter the 13 digit number", erm okay, bear with me, yep a bit longer, okay it's taking a while to get back to the start after I do a 9, just a little bit longe.. "Please enter the 13 digit number" oh sod it!
I do think there's scope for better ways of dialling but touch ones work.
Actually you can't use a real rotary dialer to access an automated service because they rely on the tone which your phone generates when a number is hit. On rotary phones it clicks in rapid succession when it returns to 0, that's how the dialing works.
that is nice but i dunno if u can hold down your finger and rotate the numbers...it be cool if you tap on the number and u see the wheel spin as an animation...that be very cool.

This is a God given tool for forgetful people

okay, so i found this app on the app store (no im not an apple fan, i just have an ipod touch) called reqall. THIS IS A LITERAL GIFT FROM GOD FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME!!!!! you can set reminders to be sent to your phone either by email or text at a specified time before you gotta do whatever it is you need to do. you can even call one of their numbers and SPEAK YOUR REMINDER AND IT WILL BE PUT INTO TEXT FOR YOU AND STORED IN YOUR REMINDERS!!! and the best part of all this? ITS 100% FREE (there is a paid version, but it offers very little in terms of improvement from the basic version). there is even a firefox add on for those of you who use firefox. i dont know about you guys, but i think this is mankinds greatest creation.
Never heard about this application
With Android you can set up Google Calendar to send reminders to your phone as well...
Sent from the XDA App on my FroYoed Sprint Hero...so forgive possible typos
How old are you?!?!?
There are reminders for phones since the beginning of the world!!! You could ask your mother to phone you with the message! Did you remember to brush yer teeth? LTM (Mutley style)

u set urself a reminder at 7:00am and u can use ur fone as an alarm clock !!!!
freakin cool isnt it !
Now, I know my ancient Windows mobile phone wont text itself natively, but it does have this basic alarm and calendar functions that can be programmed to remind and alert myself at specified times... I think it's been in there since WM2003SE
