How to uninstall something out of the memory card? - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

can someone help me plz? i dont know how to uninstall tomtom navigatior out of my x1 memory card.

Go to the uninstall list under Settings>System
and once removed there it should be gone but sometimes when i have done this i noticed it doesnt actually remove some of the files like at the root of the storage card so just delete anything on the card that has something to do with tomtom

Exactly, remove the TomTom folder in Memory Card/Program Files -> TomTom

Hiding the WIZARD Extended ROM HERE!!!

Same thing
Install
and Soft Reset
Didnt work for me.
the storage cards remained the same.
:-(
Did you soft reset?
Surely did.....
My storage card also became storage card2. I noticed that after a soft reset a new folder had been created on the device called storage card and the actual storage card was being designated storage card2. If you delete the new folder and remove and reinsert your card then it reverts to being storage card. Unfortunately it reverts to storage card2 after every soft reboot.
If you hide the extended rom, delete the storage card folder on the device and then soft reboot, your storage card should be OK again.
It seems to me that the storage card folder is being created on the device in order to create a folder for my email attachments - I store them on the card. If there are other people who have unhidden their extended rom but don't have the storage card2 problem, it may be because thay don't have their attachments set to be on the card.
BTW why do you need to run the new cab file? Why not just remove the original unlocking cab file? That worked for me.

I see what you are saying but mine did something different. I had Mail attachments and camera photos set to save to the mini sd. When I un-hid the extendedROM it moved them to it and the ExtendedROM is a folder and third option if you want to install anything from scratch, and its called ExtendedROM2.
Now without changing any settings, when I take a pic or have a mail attachment it puts them in the ExtendedROM2 section, and it doesnt give you the option to change it. For instance, in camera - options - general - save to : I can choose, main memory or extendedrom2, no memory card option. :?

Thanks for this tip baldboy! After removing some software (Vito Sound Explorer), my storage card2 (my SD card) totally vanished. After your tip I now have my SD card back and am able to save from camera to it again. My Extende ROm is hidden again, but with total commander I can view it when I want. If I want to change it, I just have to unlock it, edit it and then lock it again. Thanks for your help!
Now all I have to do is get the extensions on my SD card right again. edit: did that with Badschwii's myextensions.exe.
Hello!
Will applications which I installed on the ExtROM (after unhiding and deleting the CABs) still work after hiding the ExtROM again??
yes, all apps in EXT ROm that you leave there will work after hiding, deleted apps will off course still be deleted.
Hi Koksie,
App in hidem ExtendedROM will work even need to write/update data?
My problem is I don't use extendedROM because name os SD change and many programs have problems to work... camera save fotos in extROM, etc...
Thanks
Sorry, I am speaking englis not so good.
Extended ROM must be cleared from your data and all utility working to hide Ext ROM.
If I try set IE temp /Storage Card/Temp - I am not able to HIDE extended ROM !!!!
After move temp to original location all works O.K.

how can i free more sapce from program memory?

Hi All,
how can i move things from program memory to storage memory?
Thanks, Lior.
Do you mean just transfering files from phone memory to your storage card or moving progams?
yes, just transfering files from phone memory to your storage card and also moving progams
For the regular file transfer just sync your phone to your computer. Click the explore icon in the upper right corner on the activesync. Click the my windows mobile device. Then open the file that has your backup files copy them to the storage card folder, and delete them off the device. That is how I do it some one might know an easier way.
As for Programs I had to reinstall and have them instal to the card.
Hope this helps.
My problem is not the storage free space on my phone. the problem is that when i open some software after a soft reset i got a message that saying "you don't have enough memory to run this application" i need to release 15mb and i don't know how to do this, i've tried few software but it still a problem now i have 8mb free.
please help me!
Thanks, Lior.

programs not saving to sd card but to phone

for some reason everytime i install programs it installs to my phone and not my sd card. when i run the cab it gives me the option storage card or phone and i select storage card, but it seems as if its still saving to my phone. any idea? my phones out of memory=(
Sometimes there's a folder called "Storage Card" in the phone and the system misses itself.
Or maybe you have problems with your SD card (do a search here about "SD corrupted" and read about it)
If you're experiencing problems always with this, you'ld better have to hard-reset.
Or you may try to modify the registry "by hand" using Total Commander or similar and tell that "storage card" is the card and not any folder.
Could you tell us what ROM are you using, and which is your memory / SD / etc. status ? (screen accessible via settings/system/memory) And how many apps are you installing there ?
basically my memory is reading the following:
from the storage card(2gb):
0.287gb used
1.610gb free
from my phone
122.5mb used
0.00mb free
i'm running abu's v10 ultimate with the 1.65.21.18 radio. its not the suggested but it hasn't given me any problems yet. its just this saving thinig that's been a problem. all of my ringtones and pictures go to the storage card so i don't understand why my CABS aren't. all i know is my phone keeps telling me critical memory. sheit.
how do i set it so that it saves in the storage card on total commander?
You got too much snizzle on your device, i'd recommed getting everything off via active sync/WMDC and performing a hard-reset start fresh back up your SD card and give a fat32 format with computer.
Then you'll be back on a roll with a fresh device
so i did the hard reset, but do i needa reformat my sd card too? its already as a fa32. so everything should be fine now? =)

you need to reinstall them again because you can't swap app's from one sd card to another. (its encrypted with the sd card ID )
so just reinstall your app's and all is ok.

just remove it from the sd card ( laptop is the more easy way)
doesn't work lumia still thinks they are installed !!!!!
It's to prevent cheating (or piracy) by copying/modifying the app data; it's not "flippin stupid" at all.
1) Put the old card back in your phone.
2) Move the apps from the card to the phone (if you have to, just uninstall the apps instead).
3) Eject the old card and put in the newer, larger one.
4) Move the apps back to the card (or re-install them to the card).
Yeah, it'll take a few minutes and it would be nice if there was an easier way to do it, but the solution shouldn't be difficult.
I have no issues with the locking down of swapping cards but should at least give us the option to reinstall or reinstall like they do after an update of the os! Thats why its flippin stupid!.
As to moving back to internal its not possible as have moved 60% of apps to cards tonsave space on phone...
