i don't know if it's posted before, i searched but din't find anything
yesterday i took some pictures, and suddenly i noticed that the led of the flash was blinking. compare it to the amount of light the led from a pc produces when accessing disc.
when i turn of my phone, it keeps blinking.. when i take out the battery it stops. but from the moment i put the battery back in it starts blinking again.
im "scared" the led will burn + my battery life will be much lesser. any suggestions?

It looks like my Tytn II might be bricked... I have searched and searched and can not find any info on this. The phone will not turn on. I know the battery is dead, but it should have the power to try to boot. In fact, I have not used it in a while and I just tryed to boot it, it got to the starting screen, then the windows loading screen, and then I walked away for a few minutes and came back it and it was a black screen. Tried to turn on again and it did not power up. Upon plugging it into the charger, I get a solid red light on the top. When I remove the battery from the phone as the charger is connected the LED immediately changes to solid orange, and the blue led next to it comes on as well. When I disconnect the charger all the LEDs go off (obviously because theres no battery) and when i put the battery back in the phone i get a dim red light.
is the phone bricked? im thinking it might have slight water damage but it has been like 2 weeks since then so it should have dryed up i assume. tried to reset a few times with the little reset button next to the charger port, nothing. is it possible the battery may just be done for? any help or suggestions would be great. thanks.
I had that isue but i just leaved the phone on charger and everything came back to normal It's still working very well. But, i cant remember how i get into that situation but i surely know that i saw red light on top .
thanks, now that its been on the charger for a while i now get an orange LED. i will let it charge for a while and see if it awakens after almost 3 weeks of utter deadness.
Try waking it while on charge itslef.

just tried and it got to the very first boot screen and then went black and the orange and blue LEDs stayed on. tried to reset, no luck. unplugged charger, still LEDs stayed on. so then I took the battery out, all LEDs went out, plugged it back in and now i get the same red LED again.
update: now i get a orange LED as its plugged into the charger, but when i try to turn it on it gives the first boot screen for like 3 or 4 seconds then turns off...
I am getting exactly the same problem?
I tried to install android - got it working, came on a few times - then just totally died - It showt he HTC boot logo, but then just turns off.
Does anyone have any ideas.
does your computer see it when plugged in via usb?
perhaps this will help? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358136
oh and also you have tried to enter the bootloader mode right?
I've had this issue, millions of times. What I do when I have problems like this (and problems like when I turn it on, it says the battery is low when it isnt, and when you connect your charger/USB, it dies on you)
Try removing and putting the battery back on.
so in simple words
charge the battery first (dont bother trying to turn it on)
and then remove the charger (this plays a big role)
take out the battery, put it back in, hope it works.
The same thing just happened to me, I thought it was toast. I would get the red light when I plugged into the charger, and after a few minutes it would turn to orange. I tried to turn it on then, and it would start to boot up, then shut off a few seconds later. This happened a few times. I just left it plugged in overnight, and when I woke up it was on! Only problem I've noticed is the orange LED is always on, but I can live with that
So I guess it's getting a good connection since the light is on? Phone has stock software.
It won't come on when plugged up, but you can unplug it and it will come on. Then it gives the "battery is critically low" message, or whatever is says, then beeps and powers off.
Thanks in advance for for help!
you're not the only one... I'm having the same problem:

Mine is similar to yours, but my light doesn't turn red. Just stays orange, like it's charging.

Interesting.
And the phone gets a little warm like the battery really is charging.
It won't turn on if it's plugged it, it just freezes on the AT&T screen. But if you unplug it, it comes on. But of course shuts right back off.
Weird thing today... turned it on and it stayed on for a little bit showing 100% battery, then after a little while, it "dinged" and shut off. This time not saying anything about a low battery.
Everyone is telling me its a hardware problem.

Gonna try a new battery and see what happens.
Stayed on for about an hour with the new battery, then dinged and went off.
I guess a hard reset is next.
Orange Light Always On
hi I have been facing the same problem in my HTC touch Viva (India))...... but the problem is random .......... all of a sudden the light comes on and the phone claims to be charging without any source of charging ............... however in my case soft reset makes the light revert back to normal......but the problem re occurs after a few hours ....... I have tried every solution given on the internet (Hard Reset , registry hack etc) ....... but no avail.........Has anyone found a solution to this
My phone Specifications

Hello all,
i dont know what happened, yesterday my phone died, batter was to low, tried to charge it at my car/usb, at my laptop/usb... to get it back on, but it died again really quick... hmmm
last night i let it charge fully, and this morning i took it out at about 9am
now its 13:30 and it dropped at 60%, and i only had one call on it for 3mins. The display was on standby in the rest of the time, used the auto setting from power saving menu.
the reason might be the damn green LED light which keeps blinking all the time, i have no message in the notification area, no missed calls/emails or anything.
i even removed from settings-> notification all the flashings for the different actions that where before set
the LED keeps blinking, and i dont know why. I tried also a soft reset (got battery out, and back on after a few seconds)
nothing changed
the 2 problems seam to be related as i observed them together
HELP
Hey guys, phone died today incredibly quickly.
Now its off and "charging". The red light is flashing and I can not get the phone to turn on.
Does anyone know what the issue could be?
Just checked the phone and now the light is solid and the phone is booting. What is going on?
Maybe it was dead?
when the light is blinking when phone is off and plugged in that means its ultra low charge. you must wait until the light turns a solid color that basically says ok theres enough juice to fully boot.

Check for wakelocks using wakelock detector or gsam battery monitor and see if a bad app is hammering your battery life.
Hey XDA!
Got a problem with my Xperia Z1. It was working fine before the battery swap, aside from a problem with the battery (failing to hold more than 5% charge), hence the swap.
But after removing the old battery and attaching the new one, the phone will not boot, and when plugged into a wall socket, it flashes the red LED in 1~ second intervals. The pow+volume up combination doesn't result in any changes or "3 vibrations", and it won't enter flashboot mode. When plugged into a Windows PC, it registers it being connected, but when the LED turns off, the "disconnected device" sound plays, and it does this every time the LED comes on then off again.
Worst part is that hooking the old battery up doesn't work either!
I'm fairly certain I'm royally screwed but I cannot see clearly why; I checked the phone and anywhere I touched, and I can't see anything wrong. It could be that I was sent a faulty battery replacement and it broke it, or I installed it slightly incorrectly that resulted in the same thing.
Has anyone got a potential solution or am I well and truly screwed?
Cheers!
