Touchflo 2D on Diamond?

Anyone tried install Touchflo 2D on Diamond? I think it is a good idea to replace Tf3D by the 2D counter part, as it will speed up the system quite a lot.

i dont think there is a dump of that rom yet, the viva is not out for a few weeks, but i have been wrong before.

Speed up .... actually the TF3D is using the dedicated graphics processor for it which is there in the phone, and replacing by 2D you'll max get some extra free RAM. Other than that, try like SwiftBL ROM or Duttys ROM (using it) which have super fast TF3D, and you really do not want to sacrifice all that 3D beauty
Besides, I guess soon the Touch HD will have a better/updated TF3D which I really hope the hackers/coders will be able to port it for our Diamond .... if I am right.

Just do a search, an installation method has already be posted on the forum. But TF2D is QVGA.

This is not TF2D but the old HTC Home today plugin.

TF3d is faster now with SB's rom but not as smooth and responsive as TF2d manila >.<

exactly! 3D effect is nice but the flipping envelop is really unnecessary.

well, since Diamond is not on sales in the USA yet. I think there is a chance that HTC will upgrade the ROM again.

in a perfect world... HTC will release TF3d for our diamonds with the option of choosing 3d/2d animations...
i gasped at when i saw how fast photo flicking through the 2d interface was/is!!!
i know thats not going to happen...
so hopefully some rom cooker can make this happen !

Have patience. All top-of-the-bill HTC phones have TF3D and *all* the functions other HTC phones have. We just have to wait for a newer device than HD or MAX.

Seems kind of pointless to me.

I included it in my rom last week. It is running but M2D has a wrong resolution for Blackstone so you have to port/photoshop the graphics. Over in the Kaiser or Raphael forum you can download a standalone version of footprints (without M2D).

i want my baby back!! 6.1 roms recommendation.

hi... it seems that 6.1 has been forgotten. Im not a big fan of the eye candy of 6.5, its laggy and after a while... irritating. So i would like to know (if you could provide the links aswell; in xda ofcoz) of the fastest 6.1 rom, with manila preferably. The only main difference i see in 6.5 is the main menu, which makes win mo like every other phone out there. i kinda liked the win mo drop down screen. more authentic and not a rip-off of a knock-off of a carbon copy of a photo copy of all other menus found on all other phones out there.
so just post here which is the best, thanx buddies.

why hasn't any one tried to integrate the manila touch flo 3d/ HTC sense from leo onto a more stable base like 6.1? im not a "chef" and i dunno much abt the process of creating roms... im a flasher... (ok that didnt come our right) lol... back to topic... shouldnt it be possible?

Personally I have tried just about every rom on this forum, and the one that I like most is Touch X 10.1 by Mr Rusch.
PCTech4U was okay, and probably a second place in my book but I think Touch x 10.1 beats it.
Super stable, quite fast, excellent battery life.
What more can u ask for?

Until 6.5 ROMs are completely stable and smooth I am also sticking with Touch X

I use TouchX 10.5... tried every 6.5 rom but they are SLOW..., tried 10.8, 10.1 others... they are fast, but I like 10.5 (I think that it is a bit stable then others)

Touch X 10.1 is totally stable and tested by many people, 10.5 is very stable so far, I haven't found any problems (need the fixer cabs installed, though). It has manila 2.1 with weather on the home tab.
I read that someone was working on a WM6.1 / Leo ROM, but can't remember offhand who it was.. possibly rotastrain, MrRusch or bsp98ht..

the three above unfortunately haven't had much support in terms of bug-fixing or development. it's a shame as for those who aren't fans of 6.5 are missing out on leo. odd, because LEO is so much better on 6.1!!

Try this got it of touch it 10.1 and works for me.

I had forgotten about outie's kitchen and rom! Thank msc125 for reminding me.. Trying to cook something with it now hoping to get a fast 6.1 with 2.1.1920 out at the end.

thanks n33d for speed. we all need the speed. i have found that touch X 10.8 is more buggy than the 10.5 so im stickin to that... and now with the cab u provided... should be nothing less than perfect!
one thing id like is the xperiatweak 2.0 software so i can change the font on my x1... but i cant seem to open the webpage... possible if some one else could post it here?
and another question, do these custom roms reduce the sensitivity of the track pad...? even when i set the sensitivity to the max it doesnt give more sensitivity like it used to... and in the advance config the values are different for different "scenes", ranging from 8 - 20... any idea abt this?

p.s one thing i realised is that the touch x 10.5 doesnt isnt that stable with the manila TF3D turned off? i guess i have to change the key mapping for the home screen...

From my point of view Sense 2.5 is a little bit to much for our Blackstones and related to OS the drivers that have been created for Blackstone are still for 6.1WM and to be honest I almost forget how it is to have below 39% of memory used at boot up or even less.

@icsulescu: Mostly I agree with you. But I think that TF3D 2.5 can be ported to 6.1 with all benefits and it would not be difficult for the Touch HD to handle it. Now I use the Topix 3.2.1 ROM which, with TF3D on is using 38% of memory.
I was very disappointed with the 6.5 ROMs which, let's face it, are very slow compared to the 6.1 ROMs, though TF3D 2.5 is eye-candy and has more features. (Twitter, Footprints, etc)
IMHO, Sense is not 6.5 dependent and the Touch HD should handle it pretty well with a 6.1 ROM. I say that thinking about the fact that Sense is somehow multiplatform... We have SenseUI on Android devices and TF3D 2.5 on Windows Mobile devices. In the WM 2.1 version of the TF3D we have the weather tab which has animated weather information therefore i cannot think that there isn't any way of pasting it in the home tab.
TF3D was not entirely rewritten. Most of the tabs are the same in the 2.5 version, with small design changes, but mainly they are alike.
The home tab also had an up-swipe but now we have shortcuts instead of appointments list.
The people tab: the 2D layout is the same with the one in M2D...
The SMS and Mail tabs... small changes in the mail tab (masks for messages)
The calendar tab: a little extra work was done
The internet tab: thumnails for bookmarks. Again... I don't think is OS dependent
Stocks: Is there anyone using this tab?
Photos and videos: No news
Music: Coverflow alike. Drivers dependent, far from impossible on 6.1
Weather: Size and layering issues, far from impossible on 6.1
Settings: Even M2D on 6.1 handles it excellent
Programs: c'mon...
There are a few commercial and free UI replacements for 6.1 that are far more smooth and faster than stock TF3D. Take SPB Mobile Shell with superb transitions and effects as example or the more customisable Wisbar Advanced Desktop...

You are Dreamin ... Sense ... 39% Memory ... hey wake up ... i´ve been working on a COMPLETE Stock WM6.1 (WWE ) with SENSE ... and with a full working Sense the Result after Boot is ... 44% and up !
The Sense, without adding more Systemsoft+Settings (GPS,Contacts etc.), works ... but not with all Functions !
It´s a good Choice (WM6.1 + Sense (2.1.1920) but it is not so easy to cook that !
I gave my best to present you a Stock + Sense in WWE ! This takes Time...
So ... Dream on or wait !

Hmmmmm.....
.....as far as I follow this part of the forum for some time...... it seems that we get somewhere to block ourselves ....not so much improvement...some trying to get sense 2.5 but still due to HTC messaging (Thanks HTC I will buy another HTC soon...) Sense 2.5 is not suitable for HD1; WM 6.5 to expensive for " old" HD……;
other 6.5.x for testing...but who cares for the people who bought a high end phone, that were more expensive then a laptop?! and in 5-7 month was already dead (at least in my case)……..
Any how I do appreciate a lot all the effort that XDA developers and user are doing and I do THANK YOU ALL!!
OK so...let’s move on...keep on going...

I totally agree with you. If you´re looking for a stabel and fast ROM for you HD, WM 6.1 and Sense 2.1 is a good choice. The newer Manila may be a nice toy, but it wasn´t made for the processor of the HD.
So, kwbr´s ROMs seem to be that what you´re searching for. Only in his latest he integrated WM 6.5. All others before werde WM 6.1 with Sense 2.1 (some with weather and some without).

TOggER .. really looking forward to your WWE English version of this ROM. I tried Miri's 6.1 with Sense 2.5 but while great was *slow*.
I tried your ROM too and got Sense in English but I need the underlying ROM in English too as my German sucks ;-)
I think it will be very popular, lot's of us just prefer WM 6.1 but would like a more up to date Manilla

We should request that HTC made an updated ROM for our HD, with Manilla 2.1, with the WM 6.1. They wouldn't have the "Microsoft excuse" since the OS would still be the 6.1

Has anyone tried kwbr's Topix 3.1.2?
It is WM 6.1 with Manila 2.1, fast, reliable, you have huge amounts of free memory and the battery lasts very long. I have used it for weeks with no issues at all.
3.1.2 is finalized.
At the moment, kwbr is cooking Topix 3.2.X versions with WM 6.5, but old 3.1.2 with WM 6.1 is still available for download.

Request to the Cookers (ROM)

Hello guys i just wana say something, and maybe some of the cookers who think the same way can cook something like this.
Here is full with many new ROM`s for our Blackstones but mostly they are with Manila 2.5 Sense and they are very very heavy ROM`s and not Run like it must to be on our device.. for that reason i use only ROM`s with 2.1 Sense because of the speed but even 2.1 Sense cant beat the speed and feel of TF3D 2.1.XXX so i know there is avalible ROM like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592632
from Topix but its Old Build, my question is can anyone cook a clean 6.5 Build for example some of the latest build from COM 2 21903 and to cook in the latest TF3D 2.1.XXX not sense anymore.
By clean i mean all files that the useless or all aplications that can be installed via cab to be removed from the ROM. Because some of the apps get updates all the time so you just can uninstall and install the new one via cab.. this can heppand only if the apps are not cooked in the ROM.
So for what im talking is a Super Fast ROM for everyday use, and on the same time good battery consumation, also everyone know how fast can be the old TF3D also i cant imagine a copressed TF3D with some other tweaks what will heppand... and how fast and sensitive will be.
Often we forgot that the main function of our devices is a Phone so often when there are heavy ROM`s the dialer is slow.. when someone calling you the respond is slow and things like this, what we really need is a Fast Device and fast Dialer fast response time when someone calling you to not have a delay and things like this.
If anyone who can cook wana make such a ROM will be awesome.

Dude we talk about WWE ROM because i don`t understand anything from Italian

After many roms tested and tried (2.5), I was surprised with how fast 2.1 is. Never going back to 2.5 anymore. But I don't mind having 2.1 sense though.

I mean...Once I tried a Dutch ROM...I didn't understand a word...but I could watch how that ROM was...
now you should do the same...try how do you feel with that ROM and let me know what you think about it...and we could talk through PM...
and then reflash with a WWE ROM... ok?

Why to speak over PM for that reason i open a Thread everyone to can say what he/she think about this, so i dont mind to try the rom if there was avalible WWE translation of the ROM because i can see its good but what to do then? just Nothing.
And i don`t like the idea because few times you mention i can translate it if i have reason Also to write you in PM witch not sound GOOD.

Faster ROM is needed!!!
I was about to post something similar. Lately I've been quite disappointed with the performance of my Blackstone, especially the latest ROMs. I think too much attention is being paid to introducing new features from the latest devices at the expense of the speed. The lack of speed is quite frankly makes a device totally unusable despite all the new features.
To the OP: I'm not sure if it's a Sense/TF3D issue, as these can be either disabled or installed separately, but totally agree with bringing up the subject.

The most clean rom: Mario super lite (WM6.1 & WM6.5).
They are old builds but very stable and low memory & power eating.
I have tried most of roms from cookers here but always go back to these two.(Keep backups from two roms.) Now I using wm6.1 with SPB Mobile SHELL.

The TF3D is very very fast and Smooth so the diference is that the icons are not coloured but you can do it with a single cab also there have not my location service on the weather tab and you dont have the weather under the clock in the home screen but i ask myself HOW many times i watch the weather in the home tab under the clock? the question is Never all we can agree its more eye candy and beautyfull but is not usefull and many other things in the new SENSE are just for eye candy so befor a long time when i was using old TF3D i still remember for example when i tab to update the weather via WiFi the weather Update for around a half seconds WOWWW now with all the new SENSE things.. all the tabs are much more slower you need to wait the weather to be Updated and things like this.. Also i miss in the Album tab the Auto Rotation i can`t believe that this was removed from the new Builds because this was really usefull i mean when you click to see some image and you rotate the screen the image fit the whole screen really fast no matter how you rotate the screen, i dont know why this was removed...
Many peoples will say you can do this for example with G-config but the question is why to use 3rd Apps to make something that is made to be like this by default also the Auto rotation of the Album was really fast and smooth without delay.
Now with all this knowlage i mean the CFC Compression and all other regs tweak that we know and new Stuffs i can`t imagine what will be if someone create such a ROM WM 6.5 Based with Copmressed TF3D also can be compresed the Phone Canvas the dialer Images to be lighter and the whole graphics...to be compressed for example see the Blackstonehange ROM`s how they are smaller size than all other because of this compression of all images under windows.
This can be really a Rocket ROM for everday use..
There already have clean ROM`s without Manila and Titatnium.. Okay they are clean ROM`s but honestly is bored to use such as big screen without good UI and you need to use Apps like SPB Shell or other like that to have some UI because is ugly to have one empty big screen without a UI..
I think that the Manila UI is a good also the new SENSE is good but its not made for us.. and the Blackstone feel confortable with the old TF3D so with all this new things coming to the forum and all cooking expirience im sure that now someone can create really a Rocket ROM and you to feel Speed,Smoothnes,response time and to Enjoy the Blackstone to love to scrolling and to love to use it.. not to wait 5 seconds the Music in the Music tab to be loaded and things like this...
I Hope someone really to create some kind of HYBRID ROM from all the Best in one simple ROM

A perfect example of what we're talking about. I don't care about autorotations and stuff like that. If I did I would get an iPhone I guess . Speed and stability that's what it should be all about!

But I really like Manila 2.1.19212117.2 which is cooked in Wajk's ROMs.
It handles contacts and mail accounts much more to my liking than TF3D.
But I'll watch this thread too...

If anyone can integrate MY location Services from the Sense to the Touch FLO 3D this sill be Incredible and will be the best choice at all here you can read why NOW i prefer SENSE than the Touch FLO.
