HTC Touch Rom -- Has anyone started on it?

Has anyone started on it? let's keep all Touch/TouchFlo info in this topic and any findings/flashing/etc.
aSerg, you should try to make a rom with the HTC Rom and see if it works out
They got everything working on the wizard except the actual touch movement, etc.

haha yeah i guess you can say that but basically they have everything installed EXCEPT the touchflo process, thats a big step cause all they need to do is implement that, if possible
the homescreen and everything of the Touch has been recreated and ported to the wizard and the hermes, just want people to start it for the Herald!

You can use the Homescreen Plug-in and Dialer on any windows based device. It's not Wizard specific. Unfortunatley once they actually get a ROM working, it will be Wizard specific.

yeah i tried the homeplugin and it was slow and the weather only worked on WiFi

For me the todayplugin only showed a seperator line. nothing else. and when i click into the field i´m redirected to calendar. but there are no symbols.
So it is not working.

It doesn't work on WM5 papamopps
You're gonna have to upgrade to WM6 to try it

I have the one and only original WM6 - because it is on XDA terra from beginning as O2 sells it only with WM6.
Where do you think is the ASERG WM6 from. He took my german WM6 ROm and made an english and russian version out of it.

But no matter.

Homeplugin is working.
I had to rename 2 files from xxx.0409.mui to 0407.mui the german version.
Like i did for HTC AudioManager.
Now it is working - and i will give it a try. Perhaps it is better than SPBmobileshell - perhaps not.
We will see.

hey guys,
i am new to this and would like to know how and if it is possible to reinstall my touch with an english rom. I bought the touch in holland (where i live) but i want to use the device in english. any help would be appreciated.

Fring on Touch Diamond

I downloaded the last version for the touch cruise, but it does not work , when I filled out the rigiter screen it says password is wrong, but with my Nokika N82 there is no problem using my account settings.
anybody has fring running on Diamond?

I installed and select "Touch Cruise" as device, but install on Diamond and it works fine, only that need to do soft reset first!

I installed it again and made a soft reset at once....thx now it work....but it started with my phone at first ? automatically....is this right?

HD Contacts

Does anyone have just a hd or qaurtz contact cab that i can install on the normal tf3d? Ive tried other tf3d versions but otheres have small problems.

Is the attached cab a black Contact page? Is there even a white version? Or doesn't it matter and it will adopt the same sort of colours I have in TF3D

can someone post a photo to see how the contact tab will be, after installing this cab?

Doesn't work on my diamond! I have the 2.03 rom with the first TF3D.
Need to do a hard reset now, because unsinstalling the old TF3D doesn't work

I also use 2.03 rom and remeber to have net 3.5 installed and turn off tf3d then install.

Hmmm, didn't work for me - I have Net 3.5 and 1.93 official rom.

my touchflo stop working after this.
it got stock and i dont know what to do :S

mine didnt show anything in the people tab lol funny

Please remember to follow the steps for it to work and also he said itmight not work on all tf3d but most.

Did not work for me, i have 1.93 ROM stock. I have net 3.5 installed, turned off TF3D, rebooted my device, installed cab, rebooted again, turned on TF3D and now it seems that the People tab is messed up. Everything else works fine but the People Tab, its almost as if it is missing a file.
Lucky for me, I uninstalled the cab and it reverted back to normal.

stopped TF3D, installed it and started up TF3D again, didnt even need a reboot. Ive got the ATT Fuze/Touch Pro, stock Rom

This is working GREAT on my AT&T Pure! Thanks to the OP for the info!!!

Works fine on my Topaz with Dutty's Rom.... but I think SlideIT seems faster and more accurate... still fun to swype words though.... Thanks for this. I will test it again when I get my HD2 next week. In the meantime, Touchpal is working great for me.... I also like fingerkeyboard as I could customize the keyboard for easy reach of smilies and combos....

I was nervous about downloading it on my Topaz/Diamond2 but hey..it's working. No lag yet.

Leo skin doesn't seem to work for me. Installed Swype then Leo skin but Swype still appears as original. I'm guessing it's just for QVGA having looked in the cab?

Looks very nice but doesn't work on my Topaz...
Topaz crashes with error, make a reboot, displays 2 error screens and thats all...
Hardreset helps...

Im surprised. What ROM are you using? It installed with no problems on mine. Perhaps you could try install again immediately after hard reset....

On my Topaz work like charm...but Leo Skin dont work.

After Hardreset the same Problem

Works fine on my topaz, installed leo skin but didnt seem to change anything?
edit# took alook in the swype folder after installing the leo skin, seems like theres a few images missing and doesnt look like the images are for WVGA

Leo theme was made for the Omnia, so might be why its not working on your phone

I have R6 WWE on my Wife's Topaz and it works just fine

All link are deleted or it's me?
Can someone upload it on xda plz? or on a FTP/4Shared.

had problems initially when i installed it on the storage card - so uninstalled and reinstalled on device memory - now works like a charm.
i've been using it for a couple of months, and recently got hold of a wvga version. although it looks identical, i find it starts up quicker..

I had also problems, when swype was installed on storage card. Now, I installed it on my device and it is working like a charm.

Where are manila 2.1 roms?

I just looked through 30 pages of this forum looking for a wm6.5 manila 2.1 rom and only saw a total of 4. I tried Topix and it was too buggy so I'm trying EnergyROM now. Are there any other good ones?

I would personally reccommend you try out Duttythroy's final 6.1, 4.3 version, but if not already done so, you will need to register via this site (HTCPedia.com) as his roms were exclusive to HTCPedia.com.

Bear in mind that it's really down to your own personal taste when trying to determine which ROM is best, as each cook has their own style.

Thanks, I'm actually looking for 6.5 though, I just prefer the manila 2.1 style because you can customize the softkeys.

When you go to Contacts (through Contacts program, not through Phone and then contacts) and then click Menu, it freezes. Has no one else had this problem? If a rom has a bug, can reflashing it fix it?

Reflashing is always the first step yes. Sometimes the flash was bad so it might fix it. Hard reset twice once the device has been flashed just to make sure....

Cool, I just reflashed it and hard reset twice like you said and it doesn't have that problem anymore. For some reason it won't connect 3G though, I've never had this problem before and I set up ATT settings as usual (and I'm in the same location). Do I need to do something else?

Check Comm Manager and see if there is a 3G on/off. Some roms have it.

It says 3G and there's an option to "set to auto" and if you click "set to auto" it changes to "set to gsm" so I guess it's in GSM already

Nevermind, as soon as I imported all of my contacts back onto the phone, the problem came back. Maybe I have too many contacts and the rom can't handle it?

Nothing to do with contacts. My suggestion is to switch roms at this time. But hard reset twice with each new flash.

I personally recommend PhamQuangs. That's the link to the thread started here at xda for him, he cooks both Manila 2.1 and 2.5.
If you're interested in flashing one, shoot me a PM and give you the link.

I like Manila 2.1 too, very fast and smootly, i don't understand all rommer why use only M2.5. (i tried many version...)
I like WM6.5.3 with M2.1, very fast and shine combination
PhamQuangs's newest ROM only with M2.5

tried a few M2.5
eat my batteries for supper.....
now sticking with topix W6.5 M2.1 till further notice
very fast indeed
and a full charge last me more than 2 days with about 1hr call in total and listening to music

i cant get the transparent clock and transparent slider to work!!

I think people are tired of manila 2.1. I cant stand it anymore..
And manila 2.5 DOES NOT make HD slow.... the thing that make our device slow is animated wallpaper... only this...
