Just try loccy's better browser in the dev forum, it's quite similar except it doesn't have flash, which is flash 9 which doesn't allow you to watch **** except some flash ads, must sites, almost all sites require flash 10 so you can't watch from anywheres like hulu

ive never used thedude's rom but from the thread, it says it uses the Rogers camera which i believe is like the HTC camera
if so, then you should get CyanogenMod rom which uses the HTC camera
but if the reason you want to switch to a diff rom is cuz of myfaves, then just go to the apps section and download the non-odexed version of myfaves
Just set up myfaves online so you don't have that garbage on your phone.

I agree, the myfaves app is such an annoying waste of space. It's not like you don't already have a web browser... And you dont need the app for anything...Just get Better Cut and make 5 shortcuts.

sure some good flash games could be made, why not anything is possible, but it will probably take a little bit. xbox 360=games. g1=hacking/modding. iphone=fail.

You should have gotten the magic since it has more ram and will be supported longer with updates.
You can always use search button or even simple google search:

Well.. I use AT&T's 3G, as I live in the US. So, I had to "import" it from Canada. I already have a jailbroken iPhone 3G S. So, I really don't want another touch screen phone with the same form factor. The G1 has the physical keyboard and seems like it could make a pretty good back-up phone. Do you think it's pointless for me to keep this G1, even if I get the latest and smoothest ROM available???

Seems like you got the phone just for the KB and not the OS. You just need to read carefully so you dont end up bricking your phone.

The HTC Dream is the only phone with Android that I can think of that has support for AT&T's 3G network AND a physical keyboard. The BACKFLIP is coming out, but ... yeah, I'll pass on the whole MOTOBLUR OS. Also, what are my chances of bricking the phone? Seeing as I've never done this before and have no clue where to start.

You can worry about that later your jumping the gun already and your phone is still stock.
First you need to root and if your successful then you can worry about using roms.

If I remember correctly, he put Blue_Haze for OpenEclair on hold until it's more stable. I'm sure he'll step in and correct me if I'm wrong though.
I just flashed this themed rom and i got to say i like it a lot ........ But should i chose to go back to stock cm 4.2.15.1 do i need to do a full wipe or can i just flash with cm updater ??? Also i reverted the ram hack thru terminal can i reactivate it thru terminal also?

No, since this is built completely from CM's source, a wipe is not needed to go back. To redo the ram hack, just flash the ROM again.

Damn you, i did the hack and now my phone won't boot up! Maybe that only works on real ROMS and not your crap one! You stop claiming yourself as a real "dev", till you make things completely compatible with the standard stuff!

then you can pick sounds / wallpapers directly from it, and sets it into the system settings
Yeah for sure the app is a really handy one. Use it all the time when i get bored, and there are no new roms to try out.

Completely agree, thanks for the post. I would much rather use my laptop to find what I want to download before I spend 2 hours searching the mobile app for it. Not all of us have blazing fast 4g!
I had a look at their website, you guys are right. It is much easier to browse through the website, however one thing I find strange, how come on their website they don't separate ringtone from notification sound?

Exactly! In the time it takes to view 1 page of wallpapers on the app you can view 4 on the website.

I'd imagine because on most phones it doesnt matter. I remember back when I had my Moto E816 I could only use certain file types for a ringtone/notification/alarm/etc., now you can use pretty much whatever you want.

They should add a remote install feature to the website, obviously requiring you to have the Zedge app installed on your phone. That would make it really worthwhile using the site over the app.
I do agree that the site is better for browsing, but the app sets things for you. We want the best of both worlds.

Yes mate - exactly that and yes, it would be awesome. Google would be doing a great thing if they included something like authenticated remote installation in the Android framework. That would get used so much!
