Hi Guys,
I have a Telstra branded Diamond, that Im trying to unlock.
I keep on getting the RUU 260 Error - device not connected.
I have followed some of the tuts and threads on what to do, but im a bit stuck. As nothing seems to help.
So, what I have done is - downloaded the newest ROM from HTC for the telstra phone and flashed it with that. It looks like it uses the same RUU as the HardSPL I downloaded, and it has the same error too.
I am using XP sp3, ActiveSync 4.5.
Cheers
Leaflet.
You try using this Hard - SPL from olipro?

They are the Hard SPL's ive tried, the error occurs when I try to run the ROM Update utility. It stays on 0%, the screen on the diamond fades to black(!) and then it gives me the 260 : Connection Error.

Hi All
Owning a Vario III and using Hardspl I upgraded to the latest incarnation of HTC's ROM (WM6.1). Having been caughtout with the freezing issue and after reading some posts about removing Hardspl I began to do so.
After reading the Idiots guide which stated :
'2. Flash the OEM ROM to your device (this will restore your OS but not the bootloader, we'll get to that below)'
I couldnt locate a proper T-mobile Wm6.0 ROM so thought as I'm just getting rid of the Hardspl I'd use the standard HTC ROM WM6.0 which went on fine.
This allowed to rid my phone of the HARDSPL.
I was then getting the Vender ID error when trying to load the new WM6.1 HTC ROM (which of course I would get as HARDSPL had been removed).
I then thought sod it and Ran SSPL-KAIS.exe and then began to run the latest HTC ROM. It started fine but bombed out at 15% and then I was left with a Tri-color screen and the message below :
In the Upper right hand corner it says RUUNBH
On the left side a little lower it says
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
At the bottom of the screen if I have USB plugged in it says USB, if nothing is plugged in it says Serial.
I cant seem to run MTTY 1.16 or 1.42 as I'm using Vista and the processes are slightly different (though I stopped what I thought were the relating ones to no affect)
Anyone on this awesome forum got any bright ideas as to how I can resurrect this one ?
btw : if I/we do manage to fix this one, do you think it will be possible to a) have a copy of the OEM T-mobile ROM ?? b) still upgrade to latest Wm6.1 ROM without the need for Hardspl ??
Cheers all
Steve
RUUNBH errors are from incomplete flag clearing after a flash. All that is needed is MTTY, 1.42 is best, & a few commands.
The first command is:
cmd>set 16 0
The second based on what SPL you now have (1.56) is:
cmd>boot
For use with Vista, you'll need to follow the dirsections used to flash via vista, & roll back the USB drivers. Do a search for Flashing with mtty and vista in google.
FANTASTIC !!!
Many many thanks for your prompt help !. Magic.
Im back up and running thanks to you brilliant help .
Do you think its worth trying again to Flash the phone using SSPL-KAIS and the latest HTC ROM ? or do u think I should quit whilst I'm back up and running ?
Alternatively, is there a way for me to sidestep the T-mobile lock without using HardSPL ?
Apologies for the questions, but after reading the many many posts on this, my brain is deffo boggled !!
Big thanks
Steve
Hi folks,
i now searched the forum for a quite long time, but can't find an answer. So here's my problem:
I had
IPL 4.11.
SPL 4.17.
and canonyang.nbh running.
I tried to flash my GER o2 Xda Terra to gullums win 6.1. During flashing an error occured and my PDA now only shows the 3-colour-boot-screen with
SPL 4.10.
Hard or soft reset only brings up the 3-colour-boot-screen
USB connection still works
Re-flashing stops at 2 Percent with the error message "corrupted file" or - depending on the .nbh - "wrong vendor ID".
Any idea what I can do now?
Your help is really appreciated.
Tnx in advance,
Cee.
Problem gone...
Finally I got the bricked Xda Terra back to life via GoldCard
I really don't know how, but after I tried to flash with RUU min. 10 times, I was able to flash the o2 Xda Terra with original HTC ROM 4.17.407.2 GER.
First I thought ok - f..., again flashing stopped at 1 Percent and the phone restarted. Normaly an error message appeared.
But this time it continued flashing and now everything is fine.
Even IPL and SPL are 4.17.
So don't give up and try flashing several times - in the end you'll be lucky.
Pls close thread.
Ok, I'm a complete newbie at phone modding... I have read numerous websites and tutorials and posts on how to upgrade my Touch Diamond to Windows 6.5 but i fail. I fail miserably.
My Touch Diamond is an Orange UK Handset with Windows 6.1, about a month ago i upgraded my phone with an official Orange HTC ROM, so I'm currently at version 1.93.405.1 WWE...
Ok so my problem...
I used Olinex HardSPL version 1.38 and I can access the bootloader screen. Easy.
I then try install the Radio, Currently installed is 1.00.25.05 as standard, so I try install the same one again... The connection to my device is active and the screen goes black as the RUU does its thing, then.... nothing! the percentage bar on my PC stays at 0% and my phone is black.
So i think damn it ill try installing the ROM anyways as I already have the Radio version i want, and when the RUU starts the percentage thingy again... its stopped again at 0% and my phone now also says 0% and i check device centre for the connection and its not there... NO CONNECTION! so...
please... tell me where Im going wrong, do i need to CID the phone?
any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.
Not a noob to this, but new phone.
I have a Rogers GSM Xperia x1a
and i have tried everything i have read, and am simply trying to flash hardspl on this so i can continue onto doing a rom.
The PC gets to progress bar.. 0%
x1a matches 0%
never moves on either end,
then error 262 is displayed on PC
and i then need to remove battery from x1 to get it to reboot.
someone somewhere has had to bypass this.
I am in need of that knowledge.
TY
ok, so i have been able to flash a rom, without hard spl....
and when i did this my spl is now 0.72
but i can only flash this one rom, and i dont even know what rom it is.
so im even more lost now.
i don't know witch windows do you have but try just to run the custum ruu with coptability mode win xp sp3
using vista, and it has to do with hard spl. or the phone itself, as i can update roms if they are stock updates.
Usually the 262 error has to do with not hard spled or not properly hard spled. Try to install hard spl again and check the tri color screen if it has really been installed.
right, and thank you for your response.
but
and i have tried everything i have read, and am simply trying to flash hardspl on this so i can continue onto doing a rom.
The PC gets to progress bar.. 0%
x1a matches 0%
never moves on either end,
then error 262 is displayed on PC
Click to collapse
well, i have no idea wtf i did.
well i do know i didnt do anything LOL
i decided to run hard spl 1 last time.
and ill be damned it worked.
no clue why but it worked.
just one advice. Please remove your Storage card before HardSPL X1
or else u will get error....while HardSPL
thanks!!
Hi, I am trying to flash my P3600 with the 1.56.70.11 Radio, but every time I start RUU, I get an error (after the device is put into tri-colour screen) saying 'Ensure your device is properly connected or sitting in the cradle correctly' (or something along those lines.
I have tried 3 times now! Please help! I apparently have Olipro 1.30 on the P3600, but something makes me think I have the old Des's Crashproof (if that even exists lol)
Thanks alot,
The same thing happen to me...
I also stuck at 3 colour screen, after clicked the update button (ROM Update Utility - sspl des)
Master, Help us...
@Norman: just run RUU file on windows XP...
will be fine
I find this same case when I ran RUU on Win7 or vista...
