To the chefs who are having lockscreen bug issue.
I was browing the images of my manila folder and noticed that the one of the default images was a full size screen graphic. When I looked at the same file with my custom wallpaper made with HDWall the same image was half the size of the original image.
So I ask...have you used HDWall to make your manila bacground?
I have been testing a ROM with default background and the bug has not come up so I am leaning towards maybe it is the way how HDWall converts the image file to manila.

i made the background in manila editor, not HDWall, and i still got the problem, so maybe its something else to, cause i got less "broken" lockscreen.
and yes it would be nice to get it fixed, and i did'nt have this problem with the same MS build and manila 2.1.

well im sorry im just reflashed to 2.1 now, and will soon flash other build, so im not in position to share them atm.
playing to much to get some version fast, stable, touch x like
but no problem with manila 2.1 and hdwall either. so i think the problem lies in with block in nk the modules go, and how many modules, cause the more modules the worse lockscreen and the slower manila, and more "memoryleak in the new manila 2.5.
i got much moore lockups with the new 2.5 and by not converting modules to files in OEM and some sysfiles i also got more lockups!
keeping the modules under 500 and running a xip newer than 2302x with any sys version does go flashing fast, and without memoryleak if you run maila 2.1. so its quite a dilemma
Manila 2.5 and 2.1 handle the the background diffrently and I believe this is what is causing it. In my 2.1 and no TF3D ROM I do not have the issue but in 2.5 I do.
hey,
i don't know if that helps you somehow, but the bug does only appear for me if my phone is in suspend-mode for some time (at least 1-2 hours). if it goes into suspend mode for let's say 30-45mins the bug doesn't appear.
I think this issue has been fixed by now

Simple, make the images you want for the BG & name them LS_BG_P.png & LS_BG_L.png or what ever you want. Now set these in \Windows of your ROM. Next, open LS_Global_(Resolution).cpr. Change the Source="(whatever)" to the file path of your image. Done, now the Lockscreen will use this image. Normally it is set to ConfettiPlus::WallpaperBitmap, which is the stwater from the in-use Theme/.TSK.

can you elaborate on to why this fixes the lockscreen half size screen issue?

I have Manila 2D working quite well on my kaiser... The only problem is the clock. Whenever I try to put a new clock/theme on the home tab and I take off the analog clock with M2DC, my digital clock stacks the numbers ontop of one another on the right-hand side of my phone. Anyone know why this keeps happening to me?
Same Issue
My clock is doing the same thing. When i remove the analog clock from the Home XML tab in M2D Customizer, my clock goes off to the far right hand side of the s creen? Is this an issue with manila 2d or is the customizer not working properly?
*Attempting to hard reset device right now...*
Updated Screenshot
Heres a picture of my problem
I have encountered the same problem before. Make sure that you have the most current version of M2DC (easily done using AppToDate). This solved my clock problem. Another problem is witht he two page weather... The layout gets jacked up if you change themes, requiring either editing of the xml or hard resetting to correct the problem. In either event, editing the xml was the choice I went with.
I had the same problem last week after using one of the manila customiser..
in the end had to do hard reset.
maybe I should have reinstall Manila?
but I can't see Manila when I tried to remove programs.
updating the version of M2DC helped my problem as well. I did not reinstall M2D to a different version, just a hard reset, and it was fixed.
Same Issue
It's kind of redundant when you have to hard reset to fix something so simple. It's like the M2D customizer does this on purpose. I have this awsome clock that I found as a cab file that replaced the origional clock in Manilla 2D. I have the mose update Manilla 2d customizer per this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427392
and the latest version of Manila 2D from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425851.
Heres how it goes.... I can hard reset my device, and install the manila cab. I can then install the Manilla 2D customizer and loadthe theme that I made.. I will then install the cab file for the Clock that I like. It works great... As soon as I change to another theme, It goes all hay wire. I dont that much care for the analog clock and wish there was a way to disable it completely.
I guess it's the small thing that drive me crazy
I got the same problem in my Jade.
Without solution yet?

You need to change the registry settings back to the theme file settings after you disable the analog clock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3044940&postcount=1098
I dont think its due to m2dc, i have been flashing alot of ROMs and have found the newer builds seem to be the problem, not sure why? You can untick the analog and copy over the theme .xml with total commander and soft-reset but then you still have the alarm etc, you can edit out the unwanted in the .xml and there is a thread about this.
M2DC clock messed up
Folks,
same problem for me and Ihave found a workaround:
even with manilla 2d cooked in I install the following cab after having
installed m2dc and a corr. theme:
SJ 2DManila 1_00_18203328_00.cab
The installation will be unsuccesful but anyway, after a softreset the clock
is displayed in correct manner. Hope that helps.
Happened to me the other day, I figured I just did something wrong. I did a hard reset and changed to a different theme, and didn't have that problem, weird. Curious what would cause this.
According to M2DC's site, this problem was resolved and was a known issue. As of the Jan 30 release it was resolved according to the developer. Are you SURE you have the newest version ?
Its Right Here....Check against your Version
Hope this helps
ALSO,
What I did was backup the OEM Manilla theme using M2DC with the older version so I was able to restore it later....worked well as I was experimenting skins No need to hard reset
This registry setting did the trick for me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=599887
How do you change the DEFAULT TouchFlo 3D Background? I know that there is an app that will make your wallpaper display on all tabs but that is not what I want. I do not want to change the wallpaper through settings.
I want to change the DEFAULT Background in TouchFlo 3D.
Does anybody have any idea how to do this?
Side note - Also, I managed to figure out how to get back the Top and Bottom Curtains. You can find my cab file to install them in my post below(#5).
Does nobody know what that manila file(s) is called? Or possibly have it(them) handy so that I can make a cab file?
Please all help is appreciated!
I'm amazed that after several hours of posting this, nobody knows what this manila file is called... All you theme makers out there do you have any idea at all or does everyone just throw in images and hope for the best?
I think that's the bottom curtain - 1864da05_manila.

Thank you!! Finally someone answered me. You the man!!
EDIT: That was it! Made a cab file, disabled manila, installed the cab, re-enabled manila and beautiful it has become once again!
Thanks again man.
EDIT AGAIN... That file worked, but only for all tabs but home. Strange...
The following cab file includes:
1876f286_manila
1864da05_manila
18c460d8_manila
It will give you the Black Top and Bottom Curtains but the bottom curtain will only work on all tabs but home.
I will continue in my venture to solve this problem and when I finally do I will re-post the cab in it's complete form.
UPDATE1: Footprints tab and other minor fixes.
Original post:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi!
I'm usually known in the Omnia community for my M2D All-in-one installers. It was just a question of time to create it for the Raphael too.
This is a very early release, it has a lot of known bugs, (and it might have a lot of unknown bugs). It includes Manila2D version 1911 (patched by xplode), Footprints (by KDKobes), AudioManager (version 1911, but the exe files are from version 1819, because the 1911 exe wouldn't run for me), MHubVo codec files and lots of fixes for the VGA version.
This installer does not include: HTC Album, Youtube, Google Maps, Opera, lots of other thing you might need for non-Raphael phones
I only tested this installer on a HTC Touch Pro. I tried to only add packages that are missing from the Raphael, while keeping other files that are included.
If you want to install this on a device other than Raphael (or Diamond), then first install all the other requirements that might be missing (like HTC Album, youtube, etc.)
This installer still has a lot of issues.
The following are known errors:
Picture tab only has pictures aligned to a quarter part of the image frame
Changing pictures only work if you sweep in the first quarter of the screen on the pictures tab
Weather animation on the weather tab is misaligned
Location tab has some strange rendering bugs sometimes
Settings/Sounds has a mis-aligned screen
Landscape mode is broken
Application icons in the program selector are buggy
Locations in the weather tab are a bit distorted
Already fixed bugs:
Footprints tab is very buggy. I tried to reskin it to VGA, but then Manila2D experienced a lot of memory errors. It might be my mistake, but unfortunately I think this is because the maximum memory a WinMo application can allocate is 16MB, and M2D got to close to this boundary with large icons. It might work though after sacrificing other tabs (like locations)
Footprints application is buggy, and might crash a lot
Buttons on the music tab are not working. It will however display the actual song correctly, but you still have to load up Audiomanager to switch songs
I try to fix them as soon as I find a solution for them. I will also keep an eye on the Footprints development too, to include the latest patches from them too.
Setup guide
Hard reset (might not be nescessary, but you need at least 40MB of storage memory)
Disable everything on the today screen
Install Manila2D all-in-one.cab
DO NOT LET THE DEVICE GO TO STANDBY DURING INSTALL!
DO NOT LET THE DEVICE GO TO STANDBY DURING INSTALL!
DO NOT LET THE DEVICE GO TO STANDBY DURING INSTALL!
Set the theme and background (optional)
Soft reset (might be optional, but advised)
Enable Touchflo on the today screen
Enjoy (optional)
If you're into ROM cooking, or want to edit the source of the cab file, I also provide the package files, and an easy-to-use install creator to create modified cab files.

Wooh! Thank you so much for this i have been waiting for a m2d port for our phone.
Thanks for this release. Here my comments:
footprint and pics are displayed in qvga even if the borders are vga
clock is mixed. you have both analog and digital overlayed
inside footprint it displays some glitches and i don't see the pic taken before, just the city and date

I'm working on the footprints errors. I think I'll disable the Locations and the Photos tab and keep only Footprints. Maybe this way memory consumption will be fine.
I intentionally mixed the clocks, just to show that clock does work too
The default 4 pics in footprints are broken for me, but the new pictures I take are fine.

Can you disable the digital clock and leave the original analog ones?
Is there no way, to scale the pics to vga inside the frames of footprint and photo tab?
Thanks, and let me know, if I can support you (e.g. free server space, etc.)

1. Yes, it can be done by editing HTCHomeSettings (will do it in the next release)
2. Currently I'm trying to scale the footprints to normal size. I hope I'll manage to do something
Updated:
- Fixed Footprints / Footprints tab
- Removed Analog clock, Pictures tab, Locations tab
- Fixed Audiomanager
You might turn pictures/locations on, by editing HTCHomeSettings.xml but beware that M2D eats 17MB of memory already, and around 18-20 it gets real buggy and stops working! The pictures on the footprints tab are still small (not 2x, but only 1.5x the size of the original), because of memory contraints!
DL: http://winmo.sztupy.hu/m2daiovga.html
This version seems to be fine for everyday usage too.

Has anyone been able to get M2D running along side TF3D? Basically what I'm asking is has anyone been able to install this on a Touch PRO/Fuze without messing up TF3D?
Reason I ask is because both TF3D and M2D have a Manila.exe and I would imagine installing M2D would break TF3D.
I have both installed, and you can run one at a time w/o problem. I'm gonna flash one of the lite rom and get gid of touchflo3D.

M2D eats a lot of memory, and porting it to WVGA would mean even more memory. So if you want to port it then first disable almost all tabs (keep home, people, settings and programs). Only after that try to change the XML+images. Always keep an eye about the memory usage and if it goes beyond 18-19 megs, then consider lowering image sizes.

TP has a lot of memory too, but in Windows Mobile if an application eats more memory than 16-20megs it will crash. So this limit is a hard limit unfortunately

Not really. To solve the picture you need either switch back to QVGA (so put the picture in the first quarter), or do some heavy disassembling which I dislike (took me 6 hours of debugging to find where Footprints store the coordinates, and I don't think I have the energy to do that again with Manila...). And as I said: larges pictures = more memory consumption, which is a bad thing
The other things are hard coded too (except maybe for the weather animation. For that changing the pictures might help)
Hi, thanx for your fast replay.
So really to clarify. At first I want to use Manilla 2D because it's faster than manilla 3D, and has less memory consumption. But you say that on a VGA device Manilla 2d is consuming a huge amount of memory.
So for VGA, do you recommand then Manilla 3d better that Manilla 2d ? in other words, what's the adventage of Manilla 2D on a VGA device over a M3D ? M2D is useless in a performance view ?
Cheers
Hi,
Not sure of the best thread to post, so figured I try the master theme thread.
See the screen shots below.
Can anyone help me with knowing what file creates this BLUE SELECTOR in the various pop ups for File Manager, Total Commander, etc, essentially those programs that are straight WM6 and not Manila related. I found files to get the Manila BLUE SELECTOR, but am stumped on the BLUE SELECTOR in the various pop ups for File Manager, Total Commander, etc.
I am using cooked HTC Topaz / AT&T Pure ROM WVGA, close to stock, with WM6.5.x, Manilla 2.5_2012.1225_HTC Sense, Cookie 1.7.0.
I suspect there is bmp, jpg, png file and perhaps a registry entry to direct to the specific file?
Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.
m0
This is Manila related, as it's HTC Menu Enhancement and not the stock WM menu.
Livven,
Thanks. So how can I get this blue selector and the HTC Enhanced Menu files, cab, etc?
Can you help?

P.S. I love your Livven SimpleGloss Themes 192dpi.cab themes!! Blue is the best.

The menu in your screenshots are HTC enhanced i.e. not native WM
You need to modify the corresponding manila files
Find those files, export png using CFCGUI, edit the png then convert it back to manila files
Ok, after hours and hours and hours, I finally figured it out. It was easy, once I figured this out.
Bottom line...the file HTCMenus.png in the \Windows directory is what controls the selector highlight for NON Manila files (the screen shots below are .jpg files). The goofy thing is that dependind on what version of HTC Menu Enhancment you may have, based on of ROM Chef, this HTCMenus.png file may need to be changed, that is in the graphic size.
I learned this too late after finding this thread on the HTC Menu Enhancements CAB files by
Co0kieMonster at this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508919.
Also, as part of this experience, I learned which files effect the highlights for Manila selectors. These files may be too many, but, I know this worked for me, see below for the list and the ZIP that has these. I found I could just copy them to the \Windows directory using Resco Explorer.
Anyway, hopefully this will provide some help to folks and save them a bunch of time, that I had hoped to avoid, but...

I'm always looking to see more of my backgrounds so I just started messing around with some glass shelves and it came out well so I made a theme of it
3 Clocks
PureGlassShelfClock
MetalGlassShelfClock
ChromeGlassShelfClock
GlassChromeSlider
GlassChromeShelfLockscreen-CHT Lockscreen
WMGlassLockscreen
IMPORTANT NOTES
-this theme was made using cfc UltraHQ compression because the glass shelves look awful with normal quality. UltraHQ requires your phone to be patched with cfc 0.50. (if anyone wants to try normal quality anyway I can make that up quick as well)
-a few icons in the slider were taken from old slider icons, everything else was made from scratch
-you may use my work in anything you like, just credit me please
-I attached glass shelf template .png files in shelftemplates.zip in case anyone wants to use them for quicklinks, etc.
-I may take requests if needed and comments and feedback are always welcome
-added no curtains.cab to this post in case anyone needs it
Installation
-Patch your phone with cfc 0.50; (if not already done) here's the link to instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2798454&postcount=6
-Install .cabs
-Restart Sense
-Enjoy!
-See post #4 for updated .cabs (compressed and some bugs fixed)
Thanks for sharing!
great work extra clean! is the slider for 6.5 lockscreen?
Sorry, didn't reserve any posts so remaining updates will go here. (post#4)
Updated:
-CFC compressed version of lockscreen and clocks (runs faster and smoother)
-New version of sliders that eliminates all remnants of your rom's sliders.(compressed as well)
-Windows Mobile 6.5 Lockscreen released (shelf must be placed in your lockscreen wallpaper though and shows up in start menu and start up-see screenshot in post #1)
-(for WM lockscreen only)shelf must be positioned correctly in your wallpaper, you can either do it yourself or upload here and I will. I attached the wallpaper from the screenshot in WMGlassLockscreen.zip
-Calendar bug on slider fixed
This glass shelf looks great on the screen - thanks for your work and for sharing it!

Do you mean the hd mini lockscreen? No, it does not currently work on the hd mini lockscreen style. It's only for CHT lockscreen right now, but I may make it for the WM style as well if needed. The clock will work on any manila 2.5 device.

It may work on wm6.5 depending on what version of manila you're running, this was originally made for manila 2.5 but if you're on manila 2.1 I think I still have the manila files from my old stock rom on 2.1 and I can make up the theme for you on that as well if needed, just leave a post to confirm what you're using.

Edit: I didn't notice before, the icons in the slider are overwritten by the ones (I guess) from the ROM (VBN Clarity). Is there any way to remove the ROM icons and just display the ones from these cabs?
See attached screenshots for what I mean.

I was afraid that was going to happen The problem is arising because I made this theme using a Dinik.Glass.EnergyROM in which the image used for the "active" tab was deleted by Dinik because it does not matter in transparent sliders, and I couldn't find all those blank images I'll look up some manila 2.5 files to find the active tab files tonight and I should have the patched slider done by tomorrow.
EDIT:Sliders are now updated and this problem should not occur

I apreciate the hd lockscreen style, because the CHT lockscreen don´t works in my rom. Thanks in advance and Congratulations!!!!

Do you mean the Windows Mobile Lockscreen where you slide across? The HD mini lockscreen only slides down and doesn't really work for slide across style slider. I'd be happy to make it for the WM Lockscreen if you like.
