Hi,
Not sure of the best thread to post, so figured I try the master theme thread.
See the screen shots below.
Can anyone help me with knowing what file creates this BLUE SELECTOR in the various pop ups for File Manager, Total Commander, etc, essentially those programs that are straight WM6 and not Manila related. I found files to get the Manila BLUE SELECTOR, but am stumped on the BLUE SELECTOR in the various pop ups for File Manager, Total Commander, etc.
I am using cooked HTC Topaz / AT&T Pure ROM WVGA, close to stock, with WM6.5.x, Manilla 2.5_2012.1225_HTC Sense, Cookie 1.7.0.
I suspect there is bmp, jpg, png file and perhaps a registry entry to direct to the specific file?
Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.

This is Manila related, as it's HTC Menu Enhancement and not the stock WM menu.
Livven,
Thanks. So how can I get this blue selector and the HTC Enhanced Menu files, cab, etc?
Can you help?
Thank you!!!
m0
P.S. I love your Livven SimpleGloss Themes 192dpi.cab themes!! Blue is the best.

The menu in your screenshots are HTC enhanced i.e. not native WM
You need to modify the corresponding manila files
Find those files, export png using CFCGUI, edit the png then convert it back to manila files
Ok, after hours and hours and hours, I finally figured it out. It was easy, once I figured this out.
Bottom line...the file HTCMenus.png in the \Windows directory is what controls the selector highlight for NON Manila files (the screen shots below are .jpg files). The goofy thing is that dependind on what version of HTC Menu Enhancment you may have, based on of ROM Chef, this HTCMenus.png file may need to be changed, that is in the graphic size.
I learned this too late after finding this thread on the HTC Menu Enhancements CAB files by
Co0kieMonster at this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508919.
Also, as part of this experience, I learned which files effect the highlights for Manila selectors. These files may be too many, but, I know this worked for me, see below for the list and the ZIP that has these. I found I could just copy them to the \Windows directory using Resco Explorer.
Anyway, hopefully this will provide some help to folks and save them a bunch of time, that I had hoped to avoid, but...

I have just finished creating a skin for JUVS 6 Button Comm Manager.
I am attaching the .cab file and a .zip file containing the .psd (Adobe Photoshop) files I created.
If you own Photoshop, you will find I made it really easy to change the background. More advanced users should be able to change the button and radio button colors.
Enjoy!
Edit: Removed psd files due to recent piracy issues. If you are a known user, PM me if you would like them.

Sounds cool. Will you send me the photoshop files so that I may create something for myself?
working perfectly !!! thanks
I really like the Sliding Panel home screen. So I created the Call Background, Call Alert, HTC Green Branding and WMP skins to match with the green theme.
Before installing the CAB file, please backup the following registries:
'\HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Progress\'
and
'\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\'
Incase you want to go back to the original HTC Grey theme, you can just uninstall the CAB and import the backup registries back.
Enjoy!
Nice job. Looks good. I'm surprised no one else has commented.
yes, this looks verry nice!
I cant seem to get it working. I installed it like stated in the readme, but I cant select the new theme in WMP. I have the cooked WM6.1 Rom discussed in the other tread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=383617
Thanks! I now have a matching WMP and Call screen, but how about the Comm Manager? Is it possible to do anything about that?
the call screen is now working, but the WMP theme is not... do you have a .skn file for the theme?
As requested, here's the WM6.1 Green CommManager to match the slider theme.
Simply install the CAB file.
Since you are replacing the file in ROM, make sure your phone is software unlocked and SDKCertified. I've attached the CAB to unlock it as well.
Cheers!

The file is already included in the package. You need to manually change the skin from Windows Media Player option.

Oh my bad, I unzipped the file on my pc, which hides the SKN file, so I didn't copy it to the phone, works now.
Comm manager looks great!

Kudos
i installed the wmp skin and com mannager skin, it's working perfect.
I have one question: the letters and numers of the name and number of the incomming call in the incomming call screen are black, I find this hard to read, is there a way to change this color in white
How do you change the DEFAULT TouchFlo 3D Background? I know that there is an app that will make your wallpaper display on all tabs but that is not what I want. I do not want to change the wallpaper through settings.
I want to change the DEFAULT Background in TouchFlo 3D.
Does anybody have any idea how to do this?
Side note - Also, I managed to figure out how to get back the Top and Bottom Curtains. You can find my cab file to install them in my post below(#5).
Does nobody know what that manila file(s) is called? Or possibly have it(them) handy so that I can make a cab file?
Please all help is appreciated!
I'm amazed that after several hours of posting this, nobody knows what this manila file is called... All you theme makers out there do you have any idea at all or does everyone just throw in images and hope for the best?
I think that's the bottom curtain - 1864da05_manila.

Thank you!! Finally someone answered me. You the man!!
EDIT: That was it! Made a cab file, disabled manila, installed the cab, re-enabled manila and beautiful it has become once again!
Thanks again man.
EDIT AGAIN... That file worked, but only for all tabs but home. Strange...
The following cab file includes:
1876f286_manila
1864da05_manila
18c460d8_manila
It will give you the Black Top and Bottom Curtains but the bottom curtain will only work on all tabs but home.
I will continue in my venture to solve this problem and when I finally do I will re-post the cab in it's complete form.
Just updated a pro2 (Rhodium) to wm6.5 and hate the look....
My background image is very light and I want to change the colour
of the text on the today screen. Unlike 6.1 it is not so easy and
although I am used to editing registry etc. I can NOT find where
this is stored. I believe maybe in the .tsk file, but also can not find an editor to
deal with wm6.5 and these .tsk files.
ANY help and clues would be appreciated!
ALSO, is there ANY way of sorting the Start Menu Icons?
Rename .tsk to .cab, extract .cab (eg, with Cab2OEM). There is a registry file (.rgu) that you can edit within.
Start Menu order can be modified via registry/.provxml, or you can simply hold and drag individual icons.
Thanks, but sadly with win6.5 can not drag icons anywhere - only option is "move to top" and having trouble finding where it stores this data, although
have found a couple of registry keys that say menu priority but numbers
don't make any sense.
Also in the .tsk for wm6.5 is the setup.xtml file and 3 other files that have
no extension. I have tried editing in various programs but just a few text
words at random and data - presumably the .png files compressed.
So, still looking!
Found two articles and work around. May help others.
WM6.5 does NOT have the usual entries under \color but if they
are added, then they seem to work
See:--
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WindowsMobile5Colors
but for more overall this seems useful, but still checking:-
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms906614.aspx
Hello all
what application or software are you using for making or editing ".tsk" files for the new UI of WM 6.5?
I am using build 28014 & 23517 now
themes like pureblack 3 work great but i would like to edit the embeded background
I know i can simple choose & apply another background ...but i would like to embed one & cook the edited theme in my rom
Microsoft web-based generator is crappy..please advise...thanks in advance

I use WinCE cab manager to add/remove image files in the theme
but every theme has a ".tsk" file that determines the background, top bar, bottom bar colors, and sizing of tabs..etc
my question is how to edit the TSK file.. i used ThemeGenCE before with WM 6.1 but when i use it now with WM 6.5 i am able to change the background but all other stuff gets messed up
any theme editor for TSK files that work with 6.5?? (keeping top & bottom bar untouched?)
Thanks
Yeah, double-click the TSK, man!
