Hello,
I hope someone can help me: on my xperia the hardware keyboard has a little bug - sometimes it writes two charakters when I only press one key. I don’t want to give it to SE, so I had the idea to use the keysound – then I hear when the xperia writes two characters instead of one.
That is ok, but even the quiet sound with the quietest system sound is to loud for me. So my question: can I change somewhere the keyboard sound? I did not even find a soundfile with the click-sound, it seams to be very deep in the system. And id did not find anything in the registry that helps. Does anyone know a solution? It would also help if I could make the complete system more quiet (yes, it is unusual to wish the xperia being more quiet), but also this I cannot do – is there a solution?
Thanks for your help

Hi! I am new here, and first I would like to thank all you (and especially the image providers) for your fantastic work, which has made my blueangel experience much better than it could ever be with the old, out-of-date original software!
I swear I've read the FAQs and searched the forum, but I really cannot find the answer to my question.
Here it is: I've got a strange issue with all the WM5 ROMs I've tried up to now (I've got the latest my baniaczek now): when writing a text message (SMS), when I reach the fifth line, all the characters/words I've written in that very line start moving horizontally back and forth in the range of maybe sthg like 20-30 px. When I write a character, everything moves right, when I enter the following character all the line goes back to its original position.
I know it is strange and difficult to explain, and moreover not severe, but sometimes it's a bit annoying as the keyboard hangs and llllllllllllots of letters appear before I can stop it...
Does anyone has the same issue? Does anyone know its cause?
Thank you very much!!!
Please excuse me if this has already been asked and answered, I'm very sorry in that case. Thanks for the patience, please don't hate a novice
same problem
i have that same problem too...the random typing one...a t first i just thought that there's something wrong with the buttons on my keyboard but it seems that its a software problem....lemme know if u find a solution
just reporting I'm using helmi+baniaczek cf2 r2 too but i'm not facing sms problem, i've test it..
but i cannot test the keyboard since my flexicable worn out ...
Thank you very much for this feedback! At least I'm not the only one...
Indeed I had forgotten to say that it happens only using the hardware keyboard, while using the software one in the same conditions doesn't cause this behaviour. Who knows?
sometimes i get that error too.
I am just trying different settings in the system to see how it goes
Solution id damn easy.
If someone have similar problems do this:
Go to "settings -> system -> keyboard & backlight -> repeat settings" all you have to do, is to extend the repeat delay, and slower the repeat rate.
I also disabled the word incompletion stuff.

If some of the app programmers in here are looking for an idea to an app/tweak for the S730 (or other phones), i have a suggestion :
It would be such a cool feature if, when you are talking on the phone normally and you decide to slide out the qwerty keyboard the phone automaticly puts the call on loudspeaker, and when you slide the qwerty keyboard back in it automaticlly goes back to 'normal' phone mode.
Fx. when you are driving and need to put in on loudspeaker its easier to slide out the keuboard. Or if you want to add an appointment or contact while talking to someone its way easier to just slide out the keyboard and start typing.
I really hope someone can code such an app. I would be a very happy little piggy
Is it even possible to mske such an app?
I dont wanna go around hoping for it if it's not possible
Same for Tilt. It can really be a bugger to answer. Sliding back to vertical seems to put caller on hold. Very dangerous to answer in car w/o bluetooth.
there's clearly something being called when you open the phone. it's a matter of figuring out what, putting a watch on it; then, when activated, making the necessary reg changes/api calls to do whatever you want. Obviously. Too bad I don't have a working version of Visual Studio.

Sure thing. Actually I had installed it on Vista. Something happened (I think with an SP upgrade), and it no longer starts; and I can not uninstall it.
Lovely, Vista. Lovely.
It's pretty easy to be notified when keyboard is out and incoming call is detected.. I guess, the harder part is to programmatically switch on loud speaker (without simulating menu presses). But, maybe it's easy, i've not touch the phone or RIL API yet..
Well i really hope that you Saman-cz or bigflavor or someone else could program it. It would be really cool. I used to have it on my Nokia Communicator and it was a great feature that i used a lot.
If someone makes it for the S730 would it work on other slide out smartphone as well?
just found out:
Hit Green Call button "long" (hold it for about two seconds) while in a call and it will toggle speakerphone.
great hint. thanks
Cool. Not as good as the keyboard app , but very very usefull. Thanks.
Is it possible to assign a seperate ringtone for certain contacts? I have trawled through the user manual trying to find anything at on this but it shows nothing. I dont know whether this would require additional software to be installed or not so am looking for any pointers on this. I have tried to search on this subject but each time the results that come back are totally varied and dont mention this issue. Any help much appreciated

if you dont want extra software:
in the contact details, there is a field under mobile tel that says ringtone.
sadly you cant mute or set to vibrate only
but i think there is a prog (iirc phonealarm? someone verify on this please) that will do exactly that.
Yes. Phone alarm will do that. Doesn't do black list yet, but can also do separate tones for contacts SMS's..
Other alternatives....... Photo Contacts Pro (PocketX). Smartfilter Pro (Novosec),
But, as mentioned above, you can assign ringtones to specific contacts.
Hi Toufas, tha's exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks, if thats in the user guide, I must need better specs
i assigned specific ringtones to some of my contacts but its this morning did i realize that the default ringtone still applies whenever those people call.
i have a 6.1 rom. do you guys think this is the problem??
I can recommend Ringo. You can set ringtones to your categories if syncing with outlook, set up specific message tones and customise with your own mp3, wavs etc...
So does "Ringo" or any similar software allow us to create a category of contacts (personal, business) and assign each category a ringtone?
Also, I have recently switched to PocketPCs. I have a Tilt phone running 6.1 cooked ROM. I should say, Nokia phones give a much better profile and call management options than these phones, hands down! Nokia gave me a silent button I could use to mute the ringtone but let the call continue. This is very helpful in case you forgot to switch it to silent and the phone suddenly ring. You don't always have to ignore the call. Can HTC Tilt do something like this?
Also, one more thing I miss is the vibrate + distinct beep sound Nokia phones have. That beep is heard even when you are considerably away from the phone, very nice sound. So I want to create a vibrate profile on HTC Tilt with a sharp beep sound. Can this be done?
Sorry for so many questions in this thread, but simply did not want to create a new one.

My TyTN II used to have a Silence button when I was running Garmin's DK.3 rom... I do not know about his new roms, but since I've started running AthineOS, I have lost the silence button... dont know yet if I personally miss it, but it means that it does exist...
Good day, new here and hoping someone can assist with a question I am unable to find an answer for. I have a touch pro on the Sprint network, I have not cracked it or done much to this phone as I am still very new to this device (retired my Moto Q). The only customization I have done thus far is instal the transparent flip clock.
What I am hoping to do is edit the tone my keypad makes when using the TP as a phone. Right now the only options available when having the phones keypad up under menu>options> keypad is Off, Long tones, and Short tones. What i would like to do is make it more costum, perhaps by using the 'clicking' sound the new BB Storm makes when pressing, really anything but that annoying standard 'beep' or nothing at all.
Sorry if I missed something in the search or wiki, I did look but nothing doing.
Thanks in advance!

search in the reg under HKCU\controlpanel\sounds i think if no luck just search the reg for sounds folder. hope this helps
thanks for your response, i did find the keys, however they can only be changed to another numeric character. The keys are labeled Dtmf0, Dtmf1, Dtmf2, etc for each key. I verified this by changing some of them. So you can set the keys to make the seperate tones, such as making them all sound like your dialing '1', or make '9' have the '2' tone, etc, but I cant find a way to make it use a sound file, any advice? Hope I was clear enough on this.
Thanks again

Hey guys!
My friend has a Nokia Lumia which has a very nice tone when he types on the onscreen keyboard. I was hoping I could find this tone file or something extremely similar (where I almost can't tell the difference similar) so I can use it on my Photon. Does anyone have this or know where I might find it? Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Smart keyboard on Google play, it has the exact Windows Phone keyboard.
However the key sounds on Windows phone change with each press. So no dice on the exact sound.

Gotcha thanks I shall try it and see if that's what I am looking for!
Cheers
EDIT:
Ok so yeah the Win7 tone is exactly what I am looking for. Also I don't hear the sound changing with each keypress?
Where does Smart Keyboard save these tones? Maybe I can grab the file and replace the default keyboard sound file with this one.
